Oil is seriously undervalued right now. Quite possible that the metal prices will start to pull up oil and once/if it happens it will be quick.

This all before even considering the energy requirements for data centres and AI infrastructure. Shell should have made their offer when they had a great chance, as the developments in technology make it obvious. If the worlds needs energy and you get a chance to pick a company up cheaply...you buy it!

They still have a chance at this level to correct their decision.

Look at the rest of the FTSE 250. Emotion. Undervaluations. And snapbacks.

All business is purely mathematical with a dose of the psychological.

SOTP analysis of the company shows that it should snapback on valuation. Be it through acquisition or re-evaluation. Taking a mathematical view and looking at the studio part you find more than the market cap. As a particpant, and with an option too hold cash or shares (anyone in the population)...the cash ends up being the less interesting choice.

Expectations. Improving at the digital end. But it didn't even matter, because the SOTP check already finds you the market cap in a second. Hence the reaction at results.

Humam pshycology. Now there's the opportunity. Too much driven by emotion. Don't think computationally enough about the situation.

£1 of cash or £2 of assets.

Didn't make an offer too acquire the company though did you?

Armchair spectator sat around saying how everything should be run.

Billionaires vote with their money. And since you're not a billionaire. It's all pretty low value commentary.

Not a billionaire? Not interested.

The ITV studio business is worth more than £3.5B alone. Don't even need a conversation about the rest of the business when the market cap is £3.07B.

But since there are other parts, a quick mention for ITVX where the entire investment has been recouped already 1 Billion streams achieved in a quarter. Digital revenue targets years ahead of schedule!

The rest of the business is included for free. Beautiful.

Valuation is far too low, just compare it to the US traded pizza stocks. Could easily be over £3 (Better dividend yield as well).

One thing not talked about is UK social media engagement which has been really strong this year with (30k+ liked posts on FB for instance) often and quoted elsewhere in the news. The DOM admins that run the pages really understand market engagement and that should translate into sales.

When Shell quit their summer break and get back to the boardroom... they'll be looking at a BP that already starts with atleast a 4.

A bit more costly than an ice cream, that's for sure!

So Shell have Labour's approval but are dragging? And that's where you see "No intention" VS "Definitely not"...

ExxonMobil or someone else should show them how you do the deal. This slow way of doing things is why the country is falling behind. And so too will Shell.

Let Shell miss out on the deal. Have them say that and then see someone else swoop in. And then we can see what they really think. And it will be more than they thought. Easier just too make the offer? ADNOC just went in for Santos. Deals being made, and if Shell wait too long...probably not with them.

A data company, in the age of AI and big data with a proven track record of results and dividend growth. In my view a £600M Mkap is barely anything, and the directors know it with the recent purchases. It is on its way back to a £B Mkap and the Yabble aquisition is a great addition to the portfolio that will aid in that.

At current levels. That is the buyback yield.

In addition though, and after the completion of the Italian operations sale. The plan is to continue with another €2Billion the year after.

So at current levels the same would apply again. Next year.

There are of course many metrics. Like the buyback yield you needed a lesson on.

At that level you are not just a target for rival telcos. You are a takeover target across the board.

Like I say, at these levels. If someone is looking. I feel they should make their move.

See yesterday with the articles on Vodafone Portugal. Someone somewhere wants a part of everything. So why not pick up the whole lot while it trades a PB ratio of 0.37? Easy to do.

In respect of the market. People dawdle. By the time they make decisions the opportunity has passed.
