Do you really think David would place for a Royalty that would not generate a large sum of money every year ? He must have been given an excellent opportunity.
Wressle is netting very good money monthly for Union Jack Oil with potential to increase flows. David n Graham were there when it first flowed and it was a gusher. Of course the council will allow for upping production , they have seen the money in the community fund, they will want more. David knows what Wressle is capable of now and in my mind we will all be VERY surprised .. many millions of pounds per year net followed by the Pennystones being big producers.
Oil price will rise and I do see 100 Dollars by 2023. Demand will rocket. Travel is already back on in UK. Lack of investment in to Oil is a big factor as is the demand trap. Covid will no longer affect the oil price with more countries increasing their vaccines.
West Newton will be of national significance for energy security for the UK with a commercial gas find imo . INEOS , BP , Shell , Total ... take your pick which companies will be watching this result. ?
West Newton was originally about gas find and now we have oil. This is why the EWT had to be reconfigured and has taken longer, plus covid. The strategic location of West Newton an infrastructure an plans in place will make the asset very valuable., especially with energy prices rocketing an tensions with Russia. It is about energy security, jobs an the economy. This has been supported by Boris Johnson in his ten point plan. Hydrogen from our gas is the future .
And then of course Biscathorpe the biggest unappraised well which I do look forward to and has always appeared to be David's favourite.
World Renowned Gaffney Cline have both awarded West Newton and Biscathorpe 'AA' Carbon Intensity Study. I did post a very interesting podcast that I found from them a while back.

This explains the significance of the AA rating and how this sets apart a successful oil an gas company in today's energy transition and attract big new investors.
I have every confidence in David and his team for the future here and I commend them for so much hard work that has been put in here to transform Union Jack to a Mid tier company.
This is an investment for me and a solid hold.
Of course there has been another leak, I can not deny that. You could of course have video footage held back from the sites used for a trading ie a tanker, flare or nitrogen going in. Sadly we can not stop this but must be great to have a phone a friend then tweet it .
So I look to future here and as I have messaged David, he is building a fabulous company here.
GLA.
Heid shame the SP is CRAP , you like loosing money? will soon be averaging down to zero
MID Tier , MCAP mid £25m and thats it
There is some hope for the FutureToday 15:37
UK government to allow new North Sea oil and gas exploration. Ministers will allow oil drillers to keep exploring the North Sea for new reserves, despite the government’s pledge to tackle carbon emissions.
The government has offered to help the North Sea oil and gas industry cut its carbon emissions through a joint investment of up to £16bn to help support 40,000 North Sea jobs. The government said its “landmark deal” would help support the oil and gas industry’s transition to a clean energy future. But it has dashed hope among green campaigners and policy experts that the UK would follow the lead of Denmark and France by agreeing to ban new oil exploration licences.
"West Newton was originally about gas find and now we have oil. "
But we don't Heid - it never produced "measurable flow of hydrocarbons has not yet been achieved" according to the people who actually were doing the testing
Boy it took the team quite a while to write that missive from Heid - almost reads like an RNS..........
Nothing about her songs, her cooking , her holidays in the Bahamas paid for by UJO shares..
You'd almost believe it was written by someone else..
Well said Heid. I second your post. Reading this thread these past days has been a sad indictment of our society; cowardly hiding behind faceless avatars, abusing and accusing... Shockingly Disgraceful...
I am not hiding SP is 0.1275 p in old money
To all those that are sensible and do not go running to their mothers when a placing is mentioned. What is it going to be an extra 20/25 million shares in circulation big deal. It will all be forgotten in a week or two with extra revenue going into the coffers with the money from Wressle also . I think DB is holding back money just in case they need to do a new sidetrack at West Newton A if this well is also damaged. If this is the case then UJO will be fully funded.
DB always says we are fully funded, and then does a placing, so obviously not
Thank you for your comment bucephalus1
Must be cup of tea time with the abuse being hurled at me.
When I come back I will be told West Newton B is a duster too I reckon , as was A !
A duster is a dry hole. Not a fricking column of oil, and gas.
Bye for now loves... feel free to GAS about me.
Ha ha !!
Bye Karen :)
A company lists on AIM for a number of reasons. Primarily it allows access to raising capital, no problem with that.
What stinks are the leaks to those in the know who gain an automatic advantage.
First experienced this in Autumn 2019 (from memory.)
I bailed and recouped my losses trading the backside off this in spring 2020.
I hope all comes well for those who have put their hard earned money in the company and their faith in DB.

That'll do for now. The government in the UK know we are in big trouble with our gas supply.
I thought you were leaving us Heid?
You win Snaith2 ..congratulations..first prize. Reminds me..I need to have a hoover now...dusting complete.

"He must REALLY need the money - very very sad - a busted flush indeed"
might as well make the most of it, there will be another £5 million kicking around soon.
heid, all of your sandwiches leave a very bitter aftertaste - stick to the dusters
I do absolutely trust David.
My clever friend an me were discussing gas shortages.
There is very low gas storage in Europe. You know this week, last year, we had 1044 Twh of storage, now we have 781 Twh. Equiv. of 5% Eu/UK gas consumption. Russian Nordstream 2 'may' come online end of year. It's too late to revert supply crunch this winter though.
Russia is one big gas user and its exports to Europe are going to its own supplies. 100 % of its European exports would need to come to us till November to sort this.
There are no new projects coming online for gas. Failure to invest in to gas is a major problem.
Energy Security for UK is now URGENT

I shall put some mince pies on my Waitrose shop next week.
Heid, the gas storage problem has been exacerbated by Ofgem failing to sanction the funds to Centrica for necessary safety work at the Rough field. As a consequence 70% of UK storage has been decommissioned to save consumers money or rather to invest it in useless projects like Smart [ironically named] meters that hinder switching suppliers and will be useless if/when we switch to hydrogen/blended. We have Lng storage at Isle of Grain and South Hook but are dependent on the international market. Back in the day , British gas were required to provide seasonal storage and if we had that today tha price would not be fluctuating so much and consumers would be more secure. One cold winter or a frosty Putin will result in a rethink and prioity given to issues that really matter in the near term.
