Here’s Irwin’s reply to a frustrated investor
As I’ve said before one day a press release will land that leaves no room for further speculation….. this process is not simple.
It’s been a long road but at least now it’s a straight one
“They are involved in selling the company. During this phase they cannot say anything until they have a bid, then we will all see it in a release. I too hate this time in a sales process as you hear nothing, but Maxit is highly motivated to get this sold and it is a good asset”
Thanks, DBW. It surprises me that some people appear not to understand this point. The radio silence should provide comfort, not concern.
Mind you, it would be helpful to have some news as to what else is going on. Do you recall DC saying he was going to slow down the newsflow? It didn't happen, but the new guys seem to be religiously pursuing that path.
Warren Irwin tweet.
This was 2021, and he was badly wrong then.
Irwin doesn't run Solgold.
Interested to see who SolGold chooses as new CEO. If they choose the right guy, and Keith goes on to focus solely on the technical side, it could be a cinderella story. @Cornerstone_CGP is super cheap versus
@SolGold_plc
if you can handle less liquidity. If not, SolGold is it.

WI goes on to mention options that have been awarded
"Management is not there for their salaries. My rule of thumb is the granting of options at a time like this is bullish"
https://twitter.com/ItsWarrenIrwin/status/1650516355311910915
This one is also worth a mention from WI, don't know if he is having a dig at Quady :)
"I owe investors an update? Maxit has the company up for sale and is working with interested parties to get it sold. I am pretty sure everyone who follows SolGold knows this."
Warren, if you’re listening- I’ll sell you all of mine for 40p/share?

Good morning mog.
He is saying things to try to get the share price moving.
That slip of the tongue that we were going to be sold was orchestrated.
Just watch it again and again. You can see it's planned.
He knows nothing.
If he did he would say more.l
Q, come on, at least try! There is no dimension in the multiverse where you instead know more about S0LG than WI.
Be at peace with it, and with fact that SOLG needs to be sold.
Hi Italian
To believe WI has no idea about what’s happening here so would simply make stuff up is beyond naive …… just don’t give it any brain time.
There will be more than one interested party running their thumb over this ….. it’s a boring wait but all we need is the first bid ….. it’ll come
I guess we have a decision to make - choose to believe the highly successful mining investor who has amassed millions of pounds doing this for a living, or the anonymous bloke on a BB who can't see the wood for the trees.
Whatever his motives for what he says, it’s having no effect on market sentiment..
Solg have openly stated they intend to monetise, he keeps shouting we are trying to engineer a sale, to anyone that will listen… but the share price is still sat in the teens.. the markets stopped listening/paying attention to anything Solg, or people linked to Solg say a long time ago.. probably as tired of all the hype, bluster and total lack of progress and competence as the rest of us plebs…
Come on Maxit…. Get a deal done…. put us all out of our misery..
Your correct Italian.
But he has constantly tried to ramp this.
What we do know is that a strategic review is taking place in order to advance Cascabel.
His comments are in conflict with Solgolds statement.
There is no conflict whatsoever. As a reminder, this is what the strategic review entails. The words "advancing Cascabel" do not appear. Taken from the RNS dated 17/02/23.
"As previously disclosed, the Strategic Review includes, among other things, evaluating and pursuing value-enhancing opportunities for the Company, such as:
· evaluating financing alternatives for the Company;
· a spin-out of assets, other than the Cascabel project, to all shareholders;
· the direct or indirect sale of an interest in the Cascabel project howsoever effected; or
· any other transaction or series of related transactions."
I assume Mr. Irwin is not an insider otherwise he won't be able to make these sorts of comments. Having said that he is close to the fire and has experience and his views are at least entertaining to read.
My question would be that if a potential sale process is not advanced enough to justify an RNS before the end of H1 what would happen then? A regular strategic review without selling large assets surely doesn't take 6-9 months. So, an RNS at the end of H1 that the strategic review is prolonged would mean to me there are serious talks in the background. 10 weeks to test my theory (and patience).
Solg fail at any timelines/milestones and deadlines they claim to work to… the announcement of the SR being delayed will not be any surprise.
I've looked in his twitter account and can't see anything. What comment please?
