As we drift along in the 9s and need to get beyond 10.5, there are IMO a few things that could spike the price...
When we look at GGP, it slumbered for 14 months between 6 and 9 but 'broke out' in late October...the only discernible reason I can detect is the positive comments about Newmont's involvement, post the Newcrest takeover.
So why hasn't Scott come out and made similar noises about Newmont's 10% involvement in SOLG/Cascabel?
It may be that they are about to seek a seat on the Board that Newcrest relinquished in a fit of pique, despite Craig Jones wanting to stay on. Newmont have no right to a seat but surely the SOLG Board would not demur...? And what about BHP...?
So what could spike the price?
Obviously a J/V announcement for Cascabel would light a rocket but given Scott's determination to broker a sale and his statement "we are not a mine builder", that seems unlikely.
A new stake by another major, or an increased stake for any one of the 'Big Three' would do it...
Obviously a bid(s) or even "the Board has received an approach which may lead to a bid..." would IMO push us up towards 30p or beyond...
Failing these, any tangible piece of good news, such as PFS3 would help,...
Ot indeed a furtther streaming deal that secured our cash position indefinitely would put shareholders minds at rest and might just flush out a bid...
A major breakout in any or all of Gold, Copper or Junior Miners would surely lead to shorts closing and FOMO buying...
But for the time being, with Berry Street gone and the bulk of the shares firmly held by major shareholders and institutions, surely we need at the very least steady buying that pushes the SP through resistance levels and towards 14p where we started before the Berry Street liquidation...that might create FOMO or get people like the Colonel and Jerry off the fence...
In the meantime, with Scott simply not understanding the importance of regularly engaging with shareholders, as opposed to stripping the company down to the bare bones (which is surely a naked strategy to toiugh things out until the inevitable bid emerges), we remain in the thrall of the Autobots....
So when will we see the 'Rise of the Autobots...'?
All very true Red
Mining weekly
Following the AGM, the LSE- and TSX-listed company’s board will be reconstituted and a new chairperson and board committee memberships will the appointed.
SolGold has nominated Adrian (Steve) van Barneveld as nonexecutive director. Van Barneveld currently serves as a general manager at a leading provider of minerals processing and associated infrastructure solutions to the global resources industry.
“Following AGM, we believe it’s the right moment for us to step aside, confident in SolGold’s ability to further advance Cascabel and the ongoing strategic review on parallel paths,” comment Twigger and Clare in a joint statement.
SolGold is in discussions with several groups interested in the Cascabel copper project, in Ecuador. The firm reported last month that it had more than 20 active confidentiality agreements in place.
It's hard to say who is more stupid and who is more shameless out of fort and red. Having embarrassed fort last week (his year-old posts on here show just now hard he's brainlessly ramping), it's now time to turn our attention to red. No point re-posting his past idiocy (there's a corker on every page of his history), we can instead look to today. He says that we won't j/v because Scott says we are not mine builders... Who does he think we'd be joint venturing with?! Might they be (wait for it- this will blow his tiny mind...) mine builders?!
Thick as S.
Knocked back again by a fall in Gold and a failure of the copper price to break through resistance convincingly...
It will happen when the Chinese want it to...Shanghai becoming a bigger and bigger factor in metals futures...
If they get the IPA signed this week, the last of Lasso's tenure, then I imagine we'll see a small-ish spike in price (10-20%?). In absence of that I don't see anything meaningful being produced before the AGM. I also don't really expect Caldwell to be overly concerned with "spiking" the price. The only people interested in that are traders.
SM if we sign a JV you can have all my shares for nothing. I’m that confident it can’t and won’t happen
I will hold you to that one 1984! I also don't think it's a likely outcome.
Let me get this right Redknight thinks the price of gold an copper is responsible for the Solgold share price.
What a nimconpoop.
Explain how gold and copper prices were lower than they are now at the time we were 46 pence a share.
Why does anyone give Slug, DBW, Redknight and colonelDrake the time of day .
Just continuous rubbish from them, explaining why it's everybody's else's fault for them being continuously wrong.
Aquinaga.
, no abuse, obviously rattled by your suspension.
I reported you for the 7th time on the 13th November. All posts referring to me on that day were removed and you never posted on lse again till the 18th November.
Clearly a 5 day suspension.
Prove me wrong aquinaga
From popping up to tell the world daily of green dots. To not posting for 5 days.
Knowing your anger at being shown up and ridiculed, and not being able to respond, must of been unbearable for you.
And then after serving your suspension, your first post is to tell the world about the green dots.
As I've said before aquinaga, don't tell lies, you won't be ridiculed, and you won't have to be obsessed with telling the world to filter me. Bearing in mind the world knows you havnt.
Bloody hilarious
They’d probably be worthless in that situation anyway SM!
Numbnuts….nobody’s right or wrong yet, there hasn’t been a conclusion to cascabel or solgold
The top 10 shareholders now own 57% of the shares...
Who is Bell Potter holding for...?
https://www.marketscreener.com/quote/stock/SOLGOLD-PLC-4005870/company/
Copper is motoring...up over 3$ since Friday AM...
Exactly, Red! For whom?
Bell Potter are OZ based...they also have an office in Hong Kong...
So they could be acting for FMG, Newmont, BHP or even Jiangxi...
If its any of those except Fortescue that they are holding for, it would take them over 15% at which level they would have to state their intent and would be entitled to a seat on the Board...
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Barrick Gold were rumoured to be interested in buying Newcrest along with Newmont...they lost out...Mark Bristow has said they are looking at copper/gold projects...
The Canadian gold giant kicked off the last run of gold merger mayhem with its combination with Bristow’s Randgold in 2018, but Bristow’s long term plans now involve turning Barrick into a copper giant...
Earlier this year he said "we know Solgold" and its a fair bet Barrick is one of the 20 in the data room. In a recent interview he said:
“And I think we are well positioned to benefit from the long-term bullish outlook … on copper. And right now, I can’t see much downside risk on gold, just because of the chaotic global environment we find ourselves in, whether it is the global economy or just the geopolitical risk and everything else that goes with it.”
Those T20s must really be hurting……..
Bell Potter have been on the register for as long as I can remember. Could they not just be holding stock for retail investors in the same way that Hargreaves Lansdowne appear on registers from time to time?
And Barrick's CEO told TheItalian in no uncertain terms they weren't buyers here.
Mather and others.
Mather and others.
Copper now up 7.5% in a month, 6% in the last week , 3.5% since Friday morning and 2% today...
Banging on major long term resistance...break out of that and, if gold recovers through $2,000 this SP surely can't stay in the doldrums...
I really don't think the SOLG sp is remotely linked to gold or copper prices.
If it was, there's no way it would be this low regardless of Berry.
You need to be pulling the stuff out of the ground to make prices relevant, imo.
This is low because of no news and nothing in the offing, simple as, again imo.
Oh yes, there is an AGM coming up, but personally I couldn't give a stuff who stays or gets kicked off the board.
I want to see action and I just don't see it coming in the short term at least.
It's why nobody gives a toss.
Give it a rest clown 🤡
The copper price is the same as it was in April 2006
Tesla, what is it between you and Red?
I notice that you only post after he posts, and that you are always negative towards his posts. What is it behind your animosity towards Red? You seem totally fixated with Red. Is there a crying game situation between you and Red?
I am curious.
I think most of us invested are currently in a crying game!
Eloro. Why do you never engage your brain before you post.
Tesla is by no means the only poster who is negative to rk.
90% of the board have no time for his continuous unfounded ramping.
In fact apart from you and adikt who only believe positives, probably every other poster treats him as a joke.
Put down your copy of " investing for children"
Stop reading every word irwin prints.
And look back on redknights posting history.
Then reflect before you feel the need to embarrass yourself
