I didn’t say highly unlikely to find anything else of value, I just accept the realities.. Tier ones, are so highly sought after for a reason… and that is because they are so rare.. and difficult to find.
You can’t prescribe yourself value to something you haven’t found yet..
until we prove up another discovery in our tenements, we don’t have one… we are currently an exploration company that has done ‘no regional drilling since January’… Fawzi’s words not mine.
Orterncopper well for somebody who is looking at this hardnoseded I'm glad it's not 26/30p I would be happy to double my average of 19p in next 6 months who wouldn't with my abilities what I'm a bit surprised you saying is in land were we have such a discovery you think highly unlikely to find anything else of good value
Many of the valuations or price expectations that are regularly posted on here are either blatant ramps or just delusional dreams, based on nothing other than it will make the poster a nice round sum. They always ignore the mining jurisdiction risks and the large increase in the number of shares over the last 4-5 years.
It’s usually the same posters that claim we probably have multiple more tier ones in our tenements… based on absolutely nothing but blind hope.
There is a reason the markets and analysts attach barely any value to the rest of our portfolio.. and that’s the odds of finding another of truly tier 1 scale discovery, are enormous.. yes, we have some value, in that we own the rights to explore such a large portfolio of tenements, but until we restart exploration, and have drill assays from them, in reality, they are just plots of jungle and farmland.. Nothing more.
The suggestions that our share price will soar over £1 or even get close, based on a sale or JV in the near future, is just head in the clouds stuff.. of course I’d like that to happen, but it won’t.. I would rather sell my entire holding soon, if we can structure any deal that sees our share price rise, closer to, or even over 50p, than wait another 6-7 years hoping that it may eventually see somewhere near £1..
Our current board have achieved no increase in shareholder value over the last 4-5 years, and I cannot see them suddenly finding the competency required to do so over the next 4-5..
Just my opinion.
Do be quiet Tessa the adults are talking.
Hi Steve, may I ask where the 2.9 billion figure came from.
I make it 2.7 billion but could have worked it out wrong.
Steve...ignore Quady...he's a stuck record who knows nothing...
You'll be all right here and it won't be taken to production by Solgold...
People like DBW are legitimately looking for an early payday and nobody will get away with 40p...
My view is that this isworth 100/200p in an auction...
Good luck
Steve …. Appreciate your posts but can you simply click on reply rather than start a new thread with every post .
We may have more shares in circulation but we will own 100% of Cascabel plus a couple of new CGP assets so it’ll even itself out .
Will do quady is 2.9 billion shares alot for a company our size and is there a rule of thumb for these things and thanks for your input and I find you very consistent in your postings when others seem bipolar!
No one knows Steve, we all have our own ideas.
All I can suggest is listen to company announcements and also when they announce the PEA for Porvenir and updated PFS for Alpala.
Remember we are going to be issuing a lot more shares for CGP so will probably mean we have around 2.7 billion shares in issue so market cap will change slightly.
All the best.
Afternoon all had a quick look through posts wanted ask a few questions as not to knowledgeable which i guess is a reason I don't go banana's in amount I invest and I have to be honest lost 200k I'm my pension in last 5 years and left my brother very angry with me and he now put what I have left into 10 top funds recommended by Hargreaves Lansdowne but Im having a go with AJ BELL trading account with profit from a property renovation and this is my main investment with average price about 19p so when quady said the only way a major will buy us is on the cheap does anyone know how much cheap is and if we don't sell out what are the timelines for us to become more valuable as GGP the nearer to production they get the cheaper the SP seems to go thank you everybody
I’d like to think we’ll get something very soon AGM due very shortly
Personally I’d like to see the merger completed but it could be
PFS addendum
MRE2
Merger
Moran update
Another new CEO (lol)
Placing of CGP shares
Results of strategic review
Or more like none of the above and something completely unexpected
After all the recent bravado they need to back it up
I won't hold my breath 30p next week, although I would gladly welcome it.
We will see DBW, I guess we can agree next news is PEA for Porvenir and updated PFS for Alpala.
It’s not just about how much for everyone, timescale just as important for many ….. clearly not slicing up the pie and somehow getting this to production would have eventually yielded the greatest returns.
Personally I believe a bid will come from left field and then the fun will start . I’ve found this story both fascinating and infuriating at the same time but I feel it’s pretty much run its course now …..
DBW I would like to think you are correct.
However typically you get
10% of NPV at PEA.
30% of NPV at PFS.
40-50% of NPV at DFS.
So, 50% of the NPV won't even get us 80p or £1.
and we have to go to DFS to stand a chance of getting that.
Yet if we go to production, we could be at a premium to NPV and we will be valued on NAV.
That makes your £1 figure look ridiculously cheap.
Now ask yourself what scenario gets the best return for shareholders.
Q…. They may not overpay….. but what would you call say 80p-£1…. Many would say that’s still cheap for the whole shooting match but many might take it now ?
Surely Sangha, Singh, Irwin, Mather must have agreed a number that’s brought everyone to the table …. But what’s the magic number?
DBW, BHP will not make an offer nor will NCM if they cannot get us cheap, they will sit back with their holdings and let us take it to production.
They will not overpay, and they will use their holdings along with others to block bids they don't approve of.
Remember if anyone else makes a bid, then BHP, NCM, DGR, Tenstar, Nick Mather and Quady have to say yes, as between us we hold a significant number of shares.
PS: The Quady bit was tongue in cheek.
Added to that they clearly hoped we’d run out of money and come crawling for some cheap dilution …. They wanted this for nothing so yes, if at anytime BHP make any kind of decent offer it will be a situation they have been forced into not their desired outcome.
Fine so say for instance someone offers 40p for Solgold…. You honestly believe they’d watch it disappear for peanuts … or is it more likely they’d be forced to counter bid ?
You might be right and I guess we’ll find out soon enough
No, not selling. Range of outcomes possible here, but maintain that the 'BHP will have to put up or shut up' mantra repeated so often on here is total rubbish. Deepest pockets in the industry don't get forced into anything, simple as that. Even without any new copper assets, BHP have plenty of cash generating ventures to keep their div-hungry holders happy :)
Stack ….. already outsmarted Henry once ….. I actually believe the Oz deal makes a move for Solgold more likely ….. if you believe they’re bluffing I assume you’ll be selling up pretty sharpish ?
So Mike mentions a toehold in Solgold as an alternative to M&A. Interesting. No appetite to buy out Solgold, even at price based on 20 week. Hope that Maxit fella's unsubstantiated bluster doesn't turn out to be the bluff I currently assume it is.
Novice . ONWARDS AND UPWARDS GLA
Not sure and fast and stupid but definitely dozy and desperate.
When you are gambling like he is it’s no wonder he posts silly comments…..
Dare I say it again this morning but bbbooooommmm ! We should definitely close the coming week above 30p
ONWARDS AND UPWARDS!!!
