smickster:- 'Also the sp is up almost 5% so he must be doing something great.'
It's up %5 from Friday's virus panic low, nothing to do with BM.
BTW, has anyone noticed that Omicron is an anagram of Moronic?
Gino I'm well aware of this however the fall last week, months and year are not solely the responsibility of the board as some may suggest and I'm just pointing out how ridiculous this idea is.
What about the lack of performance since May 25 2017...?
And do you honestly think we're any further forward right now, given that each piece of news is received with a yawn...?
Red of course I think we have progressed.
Do you think we haven't?
I'm not basing this on the sp.
Every step of the way there has been doubt on these boards yet here we are.
Funded and still getting funds
Massive deposits at Cascabel and regional also lookimg good.
Company growing and changing all the time
Lasso looks to have stabilised Ecuador
Great news coming
The list goes on.
Does that mean I'm happy with sp - No
Does it mean things could of gone better - Of course
Could things still go horribly wrong- Of course they can.
Smickster,
Spot on, but some people have short memories or another agenda, stay with the ones who have made Ecuador a solid base with the government backing them.
Who wants to vote for dirty tricks, back door influences and massive dilution at who’s cost, wake up people, they must want all these resources or why would they bother?
The board are fighting on all fronts, they will have my votes and I wish them well
Atb
The future is bright imho just patience needed and lots of it tbh recently !!
Bubble please try hard to say something constructive rather than the same old same old day after day month after month, year after year ffs!
Z
Wish there was an AGM for this forum. We could all vote everyone off the forum and introduce a new breed of solg investors. Like Solg, this board needs a fresh overhaul.
Z
RedKnight - thanks for your kind words. I would post more on advfn but it is soooo quiet over there! Funny how you replied to me as I thought you had filtered me.
PS: James Bond is still well and truly dead by the way :)
Z
The problem is Z we would get the same old people back just with new names.
Yep Z. I'd vote to get rid of your funny timelines first.
Setting your alarm for the premium bonds prize draw is more your cuppa I'd say.
Zoros nope I'll keep going thanks better being positive than talking the drivel you spout out day after day
Slug, it's not other people who get you deleted. It's not abiding by the board rules
Shi t wright - incorrect it IS other people getting him deleted....trust me, I'm a vicar.

"Red of course I think we have progressed.
Do you think we haven't?"
Frankly no...I think we have progressively regressed as follows:
Wouldn't that amount of progression have been recognised in the Share Price in a well run company...
On 25 May 2017 the SP hit 46.5p...that's DOWN 52%.
The COPPER price was $2.57...its now $4.37...thats UP 70%; the GOLD price was $1244; its now $1786, that's UP 44%
Since then we have had Porvenir, Rio, Blanca, Sharug, Tandy, Aguinaga and the Alpala PEA...
On 30 May 2017 Nick Mather said: "SolGold has spent three and half years and $47m on Cascabel, and now has a defined copper gold porphyry exploration blueprint for the application and operation of efficient exploration programmes for world class copper porphyry mineral systems throughout Ecuador.
We are applying that blueprint throughout the Nation, on 38 new granted licences covering 14 new porphyry centres, and there are another 8 areas we are targeting. Ecuador's underexplored status, the prospectivity and the upside in the copper market all present SolGold with an extraordinary opportunity to grow the Company into a copper resource explorer, developer and miner of global significance. We believe that there is potential in Ecuador for several projects that will ultimately match or exceed the Cascabel project"
On 20 November 2018 Mather said: "The Preliminary Economic Analysis (PEA) is advancing and Feasibility studies will follow seamlessly. Our aim is to fast track towards development."
On 20 May 2019, announcing the PEA with a payback of 3.5 to 3.8 years, Mather said: "Over the period to the end of 2019 when SolGold aims to complete the prefeasibility study..."
And here we sit at 22.5p....all of that is down to the 'Old' Board....
There still isn't a PFS at least 2 years after its promised date, because as soon as the independent Directors were appointed, it was patently obvious to them that the draft PFS wouldn't fly, requiring another year's work...
My case rests....
I get it Red, its basically Bhp's fault is what you are saying.
Bit unkind as they have actually helped progress this too.
You can't force people to accept your point of view or to buy shares and help support the sp.
You can only progress and hope people buy into it.
As for the pfs the initial plan is well out the window and I have to trust what I'm being told unless you have it on good authority that I'm being lied too?
Well?
Or I'm to trust an anonymous user on a bb?
Quite strange you even invested.
"The role of the Board is to provide leadership to the Company and to deliver Shareholder value..."
On May 25 2017 the Market Capitalisation of Solgold was £666 million with 1.432 billion shares in issue....
Right now the MCap is £516 million with 2.294 billion shares in issue, so...
Despite the Alpala PEA and an imminent PFS, plus all the wonderful exploration results since, the 'Old' Board has presided over value destruction of $150 MILLION...
Now who on here is happy with that...?
And the company was probably not worth £666m back I'm 2017.
Ramped to high heaven.
smickster..."Quite strange you even invested."
I've doubled my money twice by selling half...that means I am currently sitting at a negative average cost, which is why I sleep easy at night and am not selling any of our c1.6 million...
I just think we will move faster...Darryl will have a better chance and...whether by delivery or takeover I will at least double my money again...
But...the 'Old' Board is like dragging an anvil behind my car with the foot pressed down hard...
Just look at the massive changes Elodie alone has made to the CG and ESG in less than 12 months
Look at the agreement signed with Lasso, thanks to Ingo and Maria AA
Look at the common sense brought to the PFS by Keith which will actually make it economically viable
Look at KOK finally appointing a CEO despite three of the 'Old' Board blocking an appointment for months
And look at our esteemed Chairman who has twice blasted investors, as a result of which the SP is DOWN over 20%...
Please take off your rose tinted glasses...I want to make money just as fast as you...if not faster...after a 7 year wait...
The SP ALWAYS represents what shareholders are prepared to pay...
Now their not even prepared to pay 23p, despite the Chairman challenging BHP to make a bid...why do you think that is...?
Why don't you just keep it simple and argue that black is white...?
Are you Quady in disguise...
Thats me signing off for now.
Why don't you accept you are wrong and trying ro deceive people.
So I'm now Mather and Quady.
Of you pop to Advfn then
Redknight1 - do you realistically expect the market cap to have continued sailing north from that level you highlighted in 2017/2018?
That isn't how these plays work. It doesn't matter whether it's SolGold or someone else.
You've seen the growth curve/trajectory during the development cycle I take it? Yes, that graph that shoots north on discovery and then settles back lower during feasibility and construction.
So what is happening isn't value destruction by the SOLG board at all.
Just look at, dare I say it, Greatland Gold. Huge discovery spike whilst the resource results come flying in. Those guys think they know what they have and I'm pretty sure they're happy enough with how the company is managed but it doesn't mean the company isn't 60%+ off its high?
You can relax I'm sure. I think we all know which way the AGM director voting is going to go. People are probably going to be out of a job and you can turn your attentions towards a quick spike towards a trade facilitating event.
Bozi,
Red tells us we are not progressing and the board are to blame for the current sp.
Yet he lists all the progress we made this year even though Nick( supposedly) is still looking over things.
