Ecuador has been one of the most stable countries in South America for a long time. Yes there was unrest but they acted quickly and tried to put to bed the problem. This is far more than can be said for other countries ie Venezuela or some on the African continent. Civil unrest is present in many parts of the world at the moment. Whilst these problems may of had some effect here I believe a game of chess and the obvious funding question have played a big part in the decline. Personally I have confidence in Nm to pull this off and think funding is probably already in the bag. All imho
Government will get a share in this in the end anyway. Hopefully we will have sold most and had our payday before that one erupts. We are getting to the business side of the journey now and lots of games to be played. Stay strong nm and see this through now
The fact the protest group is based in Melbourne (bhp base) says a lot and there targeting bhp and any company that has any connection. My guess is money and mining wins the day and bhp and the Ecuadorian government will steam roll anyone who gets in the way.... That's the natural progression of these things is it not?
If solg holders think this looks bad just imagine the cgp point of view at the moment. 3 year low just as new crest standstill agreement is ending and the only offer on the table is the solg offer. ....bad luck or master stroke?
Thanks Richy To me it looks like this is all part of the move forward which is why we have probably been waiting for licenses. It was always a given that the government would get involved and if the payment goes towards the mining sector that surely a positive.
And the world keeps turning and the big guns will want their copper mines. Lack of real news has allowed the snakes in here. Come on NM do us favour and release some funding, cgp or dill results. Beyond the joke now
Slight overkill I'd say. Civil unrest more like a lead up to elections in South America. If Correa is the main oponent it will be a win win for solg and mining in general, although 18 months of these shenanigans won't do the investor relations or my ticker any good. Gla
I believe it was around $6 million a month for cascabel. Recently it seem to have gone up to 10 million bit this could be because of other works ie feasibility and works on other sites. Probably looking for $100 million for 2020
