All, does anyone know if Omicron will now be part of the Activ-2 P3 trial as with its prevalence growing this would ideal, even if the results were segmented?
Activ-2 is for any variant - If Omicron variant become widespread in the USA then many of the participants would probably have the Omicron variant.
No cases in the USA yet...
that's only because they are cr4p at sequencing and only do a fraction of the level we do in this country 7 elsewhere
I'm not sure we're doing that many either BG ... would love to hear what percentage of positive tests are sequenced.
Ah the sequencing lag is 5-7 days

USA now reporting Omicron cases...
Off topic sort of. I have noticed lots of people Not wearing masks in shops and petrol stations ect. It's like the general public do not give a damn anyone.
Same here in Cork, people queued up, only 10-15% wearing masks.
No nonsense like that in Italy. Virtually everyone wears a mask. This from a country which does not strap all children yet
Talking of children, Omicron hitting infants aged 2 or under...
Alkin,
It's not clear yet ref chilren. From Reuters "For practical reasons, infants who present with respiratory symptoms are treated as if they had COVID-19, but they could be sick with another disease such as flu."

Alkin,
Cases in America, as of last night.

Apologies Alkin, hadn't seen your update when I replied. America now has Omni.
Hi Woodstock...
re Masks
My partner was in Japan a few weeks ago. Everyone wears masks. No one talks on public transport. There is a general understanding of what airborne transmission means and how to avoid it. People wear masks outside as well as inside. Trains and public spaces are as ventilated as possible. Japan has twice the population of UK. And a lower vaccine rate. Yesterday Japan had 115 new Covid cases. Yesterday UK had 47, 235.
Its not just the masks, of course. There must be other reasons. But still....
One word - Ivermectin
Hi Mac57, good shout on Ivermectin especially based on what the FDA say (maybe troll somewhere else);
Here’s What You Need to Know about Ivermectin
The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. Ivermectin is approved for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.
Currently available data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. Clinical trials assessing ivermectin tablets for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people are ongoing.
alkin - There's an enormous real world trial going on in Japan right now, overwhelming success.
Stop calling people trolls, it pathetic, it's like saying 'look at me with my fingers in my ears going lalala'.
Are you trying to suggest that Ivermectin is being widely used as a treatment for Covid-19 in Japan?
There is one common point with all the people recommending Ivermectin. Nobody of any importance is listening.
And that is how it should be.
If anybody's really interested in knowing why we aren't using HCQ or Ivermectin read Robert F. Kennedy's new book. Each have their own very well researched chapter.
But I warn you it's scary.

Please take your Ivermectin nut nuts somewhere else....
miffy1956 - Blair Witch Project was also scary. Doesn't make it true.
Quackcines work in Japan but nowhere else, oh yes.
Take your paid to mislead unqualified fakecheckers somewhere else.
Hurtle. You make no sense. This board is for investors in SNG to chat. SNG is a pharma company which exists because of science. I really don't think you will get much traction here. You sound quite crazy but thanks for the entertainment.
