Tend to agree, however these things can come out of the blue, but at the moment I am firmly up to my neck in the brown stuff.
I took it to the bank. They would't accept it. The takeover rumours have been swilling around forever, if there was any substance (or even blind hope) behind it the share price wouldn't be so low.
it last week and il say it again - there WILL be a bid here before mid year (if not sooner) - you can take that to the bank
Joe, I agree with you re Bioverativ. The multiple paid for Haem. products was very high (something 27 times) and makes Shire's acquisition of Bax. seem like only a modestly bad deal as opposed to the disaster that it actually is. Market is really worrying about the lack of growth and level of debt and it would not surprise me to see a sizable write-down of intangibles with the YE results. This is a non cash item but will confirm that Shire paid way over the odds for Baxalta. The key will be the multiple of future earnings to debt levels and the interest coverage and operational free cash flow. This will go nowhere until there is much more clarity. Yet again the company is incapable of pushing out sensible updates to re-assure markets. The last message was a hidden profit warning and they are surprised as to the market reaction. Their IR & PR teams are still very amateur. I hope they improve.
Surely this can’t all be related to the dollar, pound movement. I hate to say it but this looks like manipulation to me, the share is so low already, surely somebody will start accumulating Shire at this price, I’m astounded it’s got this low, especially seeing the Bioverativ purchase last week for its haemophilia division and at such a premium price.
This is getting real ugly today. I pulled out at 3522 and am wondering how low it will go.... Any idead?150 point swing today!
when it reaches 30. GLA
What the heck is going on with this share, down 50, up 70 and now down 30. Very volatile at the moment.
Still sinking . How low will she go
Stirling gaining strength means that the the UK incarnation will be lower. Equally this share is nuts as hell.
Is it just me or is the London price badly lagging the ADR price?
147.61...up 1.81% at close....hopefully better day tomorrow.
Centrica SP has been held in a tight range. Market is completely ignoring its O&G assets and the rise in oil price this past year from $50 to $70. No idea why. Small position now here only as it is far too volatile a share and behaves like a manic miner not a defensive pharma. Lower lows and highs also a concern.
Not that much this days. Lot of my shorts got taken on 19th dec am drop and last Friday. Im reluctantly mostly long now. I dont count daily longs and shorts in this equation. Now, when will to roomers do a bit for cna sp do u think?
I thought a lower low would please you notgreedy given you are shorting this and have been for a while?! Sanofi takeover deal of a biotech firm is fuelling the rise today
Lets see if this is not the case of lower highs and lower lows.
It looks that way. This is such a mercurial pick. Question is; how high will she go?
yes but this dog is very friendly today , Shire is up more than a , nice
Good start........every dog has his day !!

Hey bud no probs. I was feeling brave yesterday and doubled down at 3414. Glad I did! Hope this can get over 35 and trace up to 40. But this share is like being an Arsenal supporter, it wants to make you suffer!
My apologies, i read a short article in google news at approx 2pm and it stated lowest price of the session as 34.14. Sry if it came accross wrong
