Good morning all £16.50 we go to
If shareholders are in for the long term who cares if it hits £15 before rocketing to £30?
I welcome it, would never say no to a bargain.
Very true diamonglegs,
Ocados share price is so volatile. There have been so many gloomy moments in Ocados past but over time Ocado has emerged stronger. Share price can easily go down a great deal and up greatly in a short time period.
Samsung and Apple had patent issues but they became bigger.
HUAWEI and CISCO had patent issues but they became bigger.
Alot of people I think are trying to clutch on to hope and would rather lose everything but I have listened and glad to see you back.
If shareholders are in for the long term who cares if it hits £15 before rocketing to £30?
It is much more likely to go to £30 from £28 rather than £15 to £30.
As John Maynard Keynes said "In the long term we are all dead". We need to sell at some stage.
The way it’s going should be hitting £ 15 by Monday ! Have a good weekend at least my other investment on the UK market is doing well today.
A tip for you all SYNAIRGEN.
Why should we listen to you JR. You've abviously got it wrong with OCDO.
No need to be nasty Owls ! Don’t forget the A next time…..
Not being nasty, just wondering why anybody would follow your tip without any reason for it. If you had a good track record I could understand.
Just stick with your little band of shorters on here ! He who laughs loudest will be the first to cry when the SP starts rising again !
He who laughs the loudest I do say my dear I do not think you have the slightest inkling where to put you money I do not come here to further your loss.
this is a discussion board and we are all entitled to our own opinions as are you but with all the information you have had in the news even a child knows not to catch a falling knife
Re my post 17th Sept OWLS.
Not a total mug aye SNYAIRGEN. Did my homework on that 1 read up about it and still a very good chance it will double from here ! Hopefully at least 1 person here had a look at the time.
And A steady week for Ocado seems to be fairly stable at least and into the £ 20’s soon. Have a great weekend.
I’ve been in synairgen a couple of times.
Stupidly sold in November at a loss when the vaccine news came over thinking it was doomed.
Been buying back in since after Xmas with my lowest purchase around 100p so very happily in profit now with loads of miles left on the clock.
Great example of how an AIM company should operate. No CEO fluff, pointless RNS, CEO over exuberance. Just cold hard facts when there’s something to tell. Like all steady investments patience required.
JR, well done with SNG but like most AIM it's a gambler's stock rather than an investors.
I had a flutter on it during lockdown, bought at 65p, it fell to 30p and then rose to £2.40 (700% rise in one day). It then fell back to 75p. Finally sold at £1.60 althought only had a small amount on it. Not for the faint hearted.
I used to have a look at the SNG board, it makes investors on here look like seasoned professionals.
Maybe OWLS but aren’t all investments a gamble. It’s just that buzz when that green line goes North very Quickly. Which that 1 can. Glad you did well on it. Hoping for Ocado to go the same way eventually.
Well done WolfofWarks. Like this 1 don’t panic Captain Mainwaring ! Keep our cool.
Correct JR, it's all a gamble really although in general AIM tends to be more volatile than the FTSE350.
AIM shows value for the larger cap stocks but with high volatility - these high cap stocks, such as CWR, can be the best investments on all the LSE for capital growth.
For the smaller cap stocks its just a lottery, but here there is the potential for enormous capital gain for a modest investment.
Best option is to make profit on AIM then invest it in solid FTSE250/100 companies for slower but more reliable capital growth or dividends.
Ocado will certainly come good - just pile in the AIM profits on the dips.
"Best option is to make profit on AIM"
Easier said than done.
Yep,
You need a very Braveheart to delve into that Black hole
Warren Buffet says not to go with the herd & on that basis alone it's a good time to buy.
Speaking as a successful inventor, what most analysts & people don't realise is provided it isn't a terminal fail, is that it is the failures & mistakes that enable fine tuning the tech - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Therefore, the 2 fires were a huge learning experience which will result in new contracts: many are in the pipeline.
Furthermore Fortress along with other overseas raiders must see OCDO as a ripe target, which I don't think will attract UK competition authorities. If I wasn't overweight I would definitely top up again as like all of us that are longterm investors we feel the best is yet to come.
Great post Discern,
Agreed re the fine tuning and that Ocado are on other companies shopping lists. It's my view that Ocado has had others enquire to buy the company out cheaply in the past however Tim Steiner and team saw the bigger vision and chose to lead the expansion to where it is today - Multiple tech contracts with some of the biggest grocers in the world giving Ocado the current £13bill+ valuation.
Gently bubbling upwards at the moment. Continued huge potential in many areas at Ocado. I see the share price rising further as the potential is again translated into reality...
I don't see Ocado as a takeover target in the same way as the cash rich supermarket chains, therefore Fortress and other groups wont be interested.
As a growth company Ocado are just the opposite and need regular capital injection to fuel growth, so it will need a company with very deep pockets to go for a takeover - more likely another large tech company.
Personally, I think that a takeover is unlikely because of the investment needed to fund Ocado's growth and the problem any bidder would have getting the deal past their shareholders.
We could see a private buyout proposed, but I guess in that case they would more likely go for a shareholding - maybe providing cash for shares when Ocado go for their next fundraise.
Thanks for the feedback. It's definitely my most interesting shareholding!
I am kicking myself for not buying TESLA - I've got the new model on order - after SP shooting up last week. As TSLA is to cars OCDO is to supermarkets..
