We've had a numbers update (in line with market expectations), an R&D update (very good, shows depth and ability to sustain post Covid markets), now we need an operations update. This should contain insights into contracts that have been extended, new contracts, new markets and key organisational changes, new staff etc, to prove that the the money in the bank and the R&D are being put to good use.
Then the sp might move.
I think the share price will surge this afternoon, set up nicely. I'm reading through that Numis report and my word, just look at the financial forecasts, money flow is mental, and thats without any unconfirmed phase 2 etc in it!. We are many many multiples below where we should be trading. I'm calling it, £20 plus this year
im surprised that the SP did not move more than it already has done on what i think is a very positive RNS
Has Porky sold out? Not seen him today telling us all how under valued this is!
They forecast net cash at the end of this year at nearly £300m. That about half our current mcap. Madness. Any new contracts and that cash could be the equivalent of the full current mcap. I'm not usually one to go wild on valuations, but seriuously, I've never seen such a screaming buy in all my years of investing.
no need to be surprised in light of the history with rns(s). lets just rejoice, for once, that it has gone up. all such positive developments, but i agree without their value being specifically addressed it will take the market a while to catch on. Remember we know a lot more on this bb than the market in general.
Jg if you had bothered to read the board he posted five maybe eight times today .
I imagine that a RNS regarding the status of contract is not permitted at this stage and probably dependent on lengths of string as to when we will get that. Happy to wait. As somone already mentioned their cash pile is almost half the market Cap
@JgCW
Still holding strong and still adding as I can afford
We are still materially undervalued and a long long way to go yet
Much more to come
Today’s R& D update was to clear the way for partner deals imo the AZK Saliva test was of specific interest likewise the care home data, there is a purpose for this.
Onwards and upwards from here.
@Porky9,
Glad you've stayed at home and not gone to market - Lol
Any ideas why the care home report is taking so long to finalise ?
Porky9 you have me salivating with that one!!
Anyway nice long thread by tayq on twitter which is a really good read imho.

@troublesome
Don’t know for sure but suspect one of two reasons:-
1. Commercial, something being added prepared ready to issue alongside the findings report
2. Data once collated is going to be also validated by a Third party such as DHSC or other again to support the commercial application.
As I say there is a purpose for this
Troublesome to Porky - @Porky9, Glad you've stayed at home and not gone to market - Lol Any ideas why the care home report is taking so long to finalise ?

It really is interesting why the care home trials are taking so long. I contacted Professor Martin back in November and in her reply on 7th or 8th November she advised me (this is not verbatim as I have sadly deleted the reply) that the trials had gone well and that the data was at that time 'currently being collated'. Hopefully the data coming out of the trials has proven successful for the company and indeed the Queen Mary!
@Airlineboy
Do recall that reply.
The trials have been succesfully completed - data analysis underway - results expected in H2 2021.
Not certain what succesfull completed really means but I would imagine they wouldn't want to draw wrong conclusions from the data which may have also taken a long time to gather, not least because of the effects of Covid within the actual care homes under trial themselves. However, thought trails had been extended to hospitals also.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see eeven though time seems to get stretched under lockdowns, short daylight days and bad weather.
Interesting from Mr Deeks, and before we get into a battleground it's referencing the innova lft.

So to sumamrise, we are one of the worlds leading diagnostics companies, proven to be one of the most innovative and responsive to testing needs, providing supplies to over 130 countries. We're embedded in the NHS and WHO, and have just released a roadmap of future growth and expansion. Oh yes and in 9 months we will have cash in the bank equivalent to over 50% of our mcap. Which of you big fellas want to take me over first?
Personally I see us being taken over by AZN. We work so closely together in a broad range of areas, it makes sense for them to be the main suitors. Although I imagine many will be looking at us now. For me, unless we see a huge surge in the share price in coming months, I think we will get an approach before the summer arrives. rarely will they be able to get such good value for such a high end acquisition.
@Bluelight.
That sounded a bit blue !!
Anyway I'm not that way inclined (even like to think that I'm suitably endowed)
It must now occur to AZN that diagnostics could be a very profitable sideline. Roche are looking at a capacity of 100m tests a month, big numbers and the profit margin on diagnostics is very high. To combine Novacyt's know how and technology with Astra's resources and sales network would be a winning combination.
Troublesome. Nothing but a dreamer .
It already is risehall1 , I will continue in self imposed denial , do not want dividend, do not want takeover , enjoying the fact minimal redtape for Nova compared to the goliaths, it's why they are so fast to market.
Keen to succeed. Better return as independent. Imo K
