Buy the dips.
GLA
Sorry, it's International Paper Company, not Mondi, but same question.
Why is M&g involved in the takeover of D S Smith by Mondi per the RNS
Just added at 196, hopefully the sp will gain before next exdiv
Good luck all holders
Whats the odds this falls into the 180s or lower, ive been here soooo many times now since covid and you would have thought id learnt something, you just cant presume
Taverham
I hope so but I have been wrong before. It may continue down, but over the 10+ year timeline I am planning for I suspect they will do ok.
ATB
Paul, well done you cant go wrong at that price imv.
Well I've added this morning 5443 shares at £1.9739 including taxes etc. Now holding 33958 of these with an average of £2.0608.
Over the last 2 1/2 years I have paid as much as £2.3042, and as little as £1.8794.
I think/hope that as interest rates start to fall later in the year it may rise a little to somewhere in the £2.30s, but to be honest its the dividend I hold this for.
This and LGEN are my two long term dividend plays. By cost MNG is my 2ng largest holding and LGEN is the 3rd largest.
However much as I like these stocks, I will be investing the dividends elsewhere to avoid any more weight in these sectors.
....'SENTIMENT, dear boy' affecting everything. Getting cash back from a 1 year fix for this year's ISA and aiming to bottom fish!
Meco,
lol!

Hi Lamoroma24. The forthcoming dividend is 13.2p per share and is due to be paid on 9th May. The shares have been ex-dividend since late March, so buying them now won't get you that particular divi. However, if you buy by mid September you'll be eligible for the next one after that which was 6.5p last year and was paid on 3 November '23. I hope that helps.
"Wait for ME to stabilise."
Trek, mate, just HOW patient are you...?
I can`t see why not .
If I'm buying more now, am I eligible for the next divi Sept ?
**Always interesting to see how people approach trading and investing in different ways.**
My way is to buy in drips, never buy/add above my current average.
Also, re-invest the divi regardless the sp value....IMHO-DYOR
Always interesting to see how people approach trading and investing in different ways.
I bought my most recent batch at £2.08, if it gets to £1.97 ( approx -5%) I may buy another.
Gone to cash here now hike still in profit. Wait for ME to stabilise. Next xd not till sept so no need to have cash on risk in between.
If have to pay more so be it. That’s preferable to a correction.
Trek
Yeah, keep dreaming ...IMHO
Good Morning All
Not once does it mention the fact its basically dropped since ex-divi date 🤷♂️

MNG has plunged a staggering -20% in the past 3 weeks, during a period when the FTSE 100 overall has risen +1%. That is a very bearish sign. Wouldn't be a surprise to see this drift back down to test the 150-175p range.
I am buying the dip. so there.
10% solid-looking dividend, this stock is a joy to long-term-hold.
Well because the dow jones ended down about 480 points on Friday it is certainly going to go down a few pence on Monday so in about a 3 weeks it will have gone down about 20 per cent from over 240 to 197 which will probably be Mondays price
