Lawstudent 95 ExDividend is short for Excluding Dividend , so no you will not receive the Dividend .
Well I first bought National Express about 7 years ago for the decent dividend , I paid about £3.40 a share . Got a few years of dividends but then covid . I last bought some at a quid . I feel a bit of a mug to be honest . I can imagine a bargain basement buyout like what happened to Stagecoach . all signs seem to be there , I really hope I am wrong .
Does anyone know when the next dividend will be announced ?
I`m with Iweb and received the dividend on the 5th .
The more money the UK banks make will only lead to windfall taxes from whichever party gets in next . A cash cow , same with Oil and Gas companies . I hope i am wrong . The Media love bashing UK companies making money . Take from the " rich shareholders " and give to the poor .
One reason I have not bought any more Lloyds shares is I think Labour will use it as a cash cow and milk it that much there will be not much left to pay dividends by the time they`ve finished . Its too much of a political football . Rob the rich --- share holders to give to the poor -- woke woke woke . Rant over .
I bought 1300 National Express shares in 2016 for the dividend , I paid about £3.45 ish for them . I also bought 3000 shares in Marstons which were around £1.35 . I also bought Marstons for their decent dividend . I have finally sold Marstons last week for 31p ish . No one put their arm up my back to make me buy these shares . I have been buying more of National Express and every time I buy some they fall in price within a day . I do wonder whether what happened to Stagecoach will happen to them . I bought Stagecoach shares -- not many -- about 20 years ago and I easily got my money back in dividends , but they went down and down and eventually were bought out to a German private venture capitalist I think . I really hope this does not happen to National Express -- Mobico is a ridiculous re name . Oh and another thing I bought Carillion as well . I never ever use money that I cannot afford to lose to buy shares , its annoying but some you win some you lose .
Yep I bet they can`t wait to get in power to Rob the Rich to to give to the Poor . Share holders / Landlords are All rich and need Taxing till the pips squeak . Success in this country is frowned upon . Shame is the Torys are nearly as bad .
If they paid out decent dividends like they ought to there would be an outcry on social media and the media , oh and Labour party calling for windfall taxes , excessive greed etc etc , so better to stay under the radar and buy back shares instead , what a shame . Whatever profits are announced tomorrow will be to much . Cost of living crisis an all . This bank is not a charity , but the powers running the country now think they are there for the milking , so I cannot see the share price moving up much for a long time . A lot of the shares I have in this bank were bought 20 years ago at £4. 50 ish . That G brown has a lot to answer for .
Not sure about this and I may be wrong but A J BELL is listed on the stock exchange in its own right so it may be that it is not owned by Lloyds , but administers Lloyds and Halifax and Iweb platforms for them , maybe for a fee .
