Looking at how often the meetings take place. They take place almost every week.
Can't be far off now.
Look I know this report is a few years old but it does show how long these kind of disputes can take, makes me wonder what sort of compensation they are asking of PM, at least I can be sure the MG will get there taxes from PM, I wonder if this report and the eco protests could be related? https://jaran.mn/i/2635
It's about time we heard something the V1 spud June is not that far away now. Carn't say it enough, I really hope it's a successful outcome. GLA ;+))
Could this have been the start of PMs troubles? There's been a lot of meetings over the years. We must be close now for a reply.

Jimi that's what started it again but initially the problem.was MB didn't get permission from the local government.
It was simple as that and then the governor stopped the drill which then was allowed to be completed by the officials above.
Later PM took it to court but the case was thrown out.
SO MB messed it all up by going in to drilling without local permission.
Plus Locals are not very friendly towards mining companies because they don't benefit.
Simple solution is to offer locals good deal and we will not have any issues
I reckon we'll get an operational update detailing everything and also think that PM should keep us better informed on each step of the way just to keep the momentum going because I do believe this will go ballistic if the certificate is awarded as well as V1 spud date and all other news in the pipe line (pun unintended) so I hope its a hit but have to wait and see. GLA
The DOTS are starting to connect. ;+))
It doesn't make sense that you have exploration and explotation from government and still need local permit which has been holding MATD for 4 years! I am not sure if I should blame MB since any decision would be a collective of BoDs ones who are mostly native/ Mongolian.
“Simple solution is to offer locals good deal and we will not have any issues”
Did we not already build them a new well and clean up some rubbish for them?
I thought at the time it was probably a waste of money, but let’s see if the bribe means the local government signs us off, or if it really was a waste of money and it has to be signed off by central government.
Hamm: “I am not sure if I should blame MB…”
You really are a silly fool. You spent most of 2022 ****ging MB off and then say this.
From December: “Petro Matad together with its subcontractor DQE, funded the restoration of the Matad Soum landfill project.”
Let’s hope this giant sized Jiffy bag of a bribe gets it over the line.
Let's hope we are included in the 24:topics to be discussed at today's cabinet meeting
https://montsame.mn/mn/read/317650
The decisions of the cabinet meeting should be announced at 2pm Mongolia time. That's 7am UK time. As mentioned hope we were included in the 24 issues discussed. Will have to check if there is an official announcement on news outlets
Didn't see us in the topics
Plenty cabinet meetings week after week... are they just having a cupa and munching on nice biscuits ..... or are they actually singing stuff off?
Come on Buck we need LP news.
Cannot see where all 24 topics have been disclosed on any news outlet, only 3 or 4 disclosed. If anybody can, please share
Where do you get URGENT from WOS?
The XX field is of national importance (nothing about URGENT). I presume it is of national importance as the intent is that its oil will feed the refinery that is being built, rather than being sold primarily to China?
The quickest route to production would have been local soum to agree to a land access permit, when the request was resubmitted after the initial refusal but this path seems to have gone quiet, which is a shame.
In parallel with the 2nd attempt to get local soum LP approval, the company, with the help of MRPAM is pursuing the ability to supercede the current local soums' refusal to issue the LP via the special purpose certification route.
This however FIRST has to go through various departments before being sent to cabinet. This therefore seems to be a lengthier option than local soum LP grant, but at least we are about 3 weeks in to this process.
Have a good day :)
Quite right CandC, when have the Mongolians ever rushed this through.
I bet if the refinery was opening this Spring we’d have had the permit a long long time ago…..
If we hit on our next drill we may be waiting for an exploitation licence and a land permit on two different sites!
That said and the counter argument, is how can the MG expect people to bid for licences when they have a record of not letting people get the oil out…..
So an interesting situation all round.
Personally I think we’ll get permit at end of drilling season so they push us back another year nearer refinery completion……but I hope I’m very wrong. This will come good, but oh the patience required is painful….
LOL
URGENT!!! the company wants it urgently. The company is pushing for it...... no one else WOS. Not MRPAM, not cabinet, JUST US.
"....We (i.e. only the company Petro Matad ... for those who confuse "we" as the whole of Mongolia) are pushing for the matter to be brought to cabinet urgently in order to allow in-field activities to commence to make the Heron 1 well ready for production".
Have a good day all. Taking a break from the mad house :)
Sirbonidle is anothe deramper here look at what he just posted indirectly trying to say this will take a long time, have you not been following what's happening recently the government reshuffle and everything happening at speed like the land allocations to local farmers and so on,
Nah your just picking on old news and re arguing and posting stuff that don't matter, we might aswell talk about ww1 here
Only the derampers agreeing with each other you don't see anyone else lol, all come at the same time never alone, have to say that fruitloop badsmell does go it alone all year round proper mental issues
If PM manages to SELL any oil this year I'll happily drink a pint of it!
Very clear to see few derampers been recycling 3 month old news and creating distraction.
Smart ones here can see through them.
Things have moved along to much more advanced stage now and news any day now.
Best not to engage with these Trouble makers and waste your energy. Do not reply on their Negative headers coz that is what they want.
I’ve not seen a single deramper this morning Mr P, just people pointing out realities, none have said long term it won’t come off, just not as imminently as some are mis leading people with. So far the more cautious have been right as every week a ramper says ‘LP this week’…..still waiting….
Master just said oil this year guaranteed - no it’s not? When’s Mr Buck even said that? He wants it like we all do, but patience is required.
I’ve three million of these buggers, 93k worth to be precise, but I’m not going to lie or mislead like some feel it’s acceptable to do.
There will be production at some point, there will be a pipe line and the share price will rise, but maybe not for a while (although we should see a pre drill rise)
'Things have moved along to much more advanced stage now'
Yes, they're on their gazillionth wardrobe meeting today....
....and still nothing.
Very advanced...and nearly May !
IF we get the Velociraptor rig as planned (it's not definitely ours until it's ours) then the Share Price will appreciated into the spud and through the drill.
Not for the faint hearted if we don't have the Land Permit 'safety net' by then.
Hopefully we will though. Heron is our 'bread and butter' nailed on producer/income stream/future enabler
Any of the Block V drills would be the cherry on top. An enormous huge cherry with lots and lots of cream.
The Share Price come the end of the Mongolian drilling season will be very interesting.
Company presentations through next year too:
Drilling more Heron wells, forecast production rates/income streams.
Updates on production plans for any successful Block V wells?
Early indication of how they plan to move into Wind/Solar/Green energy using the forecast cash flows.
Updates on further exploration drills on Block V and any newly acquired blocks.
This time next year Petro Matad might be huge.
Most of the above (bar geology) is predicated on the acquisition of the Heron Land permit.
We know it's been circulated for thoughts prior to hopefully being signed off by Cabinet.
(Read that on this board somewhere but can't remember who by though)
It's been designated as of 'National Significance' so should be waved through.
With hindsight we'll all wonder why there was so much doubt.
Never say never but I think it's pretty much in the bag?
