Mr 50p.
Your constant heading of 30-50p by H2 speak as to who is the mischief here.
Now go and play on POLY. Seems to be your latest ramp
Brel - it is strange how different people have different points of view.
What we are seeing is that it is challenging doing business in Monoglia. But we appear to have significant backing from central government, MRPA and the Ministry of the Environment.
We don’t the same backing from the local government backing. Which Matad continues to pursue. But Matad are circumventing these issues at a higher level with central government.
It goes to show MB has put considerable effort into these issues in addition to the day to day operation. I am more relaxed, not concerned, knowing what MB has achieved.
Bit of a mixed bag today but overall happy to see a lot of questions answered. I will stick with my research as well as company announcements as I feel I get a more balanced idea of how to treat my time and effort towards my investment here. Now off for a cup of tea as on my break. GLA
How long do these covid restrictions lasts.
Hopefully at least heron 1 will be online Hopefully producing £10mill a year.
I'm sure it was mentioned that crew and equipment were in mongolia.
2 weeks to bring heron 1 to production level..
Land issue resolved
Equipment in mongolia
Workmen in mongolia
So what's stopping this
ID78 yes I do agree. MB may not have the charisma of Elon Musk and the comapny's PR operations need a complete restructure! But it looks to me like he is a details man and I prefer that to charisma and s**** any day
What you are describing is what MATD have doing (curiouser). They have approached land issues locally and at central government. Working to achieve a new resolution at central government shows an initiative that frankly impresses me. I’ve not been in many companies that have pushed a government like this to help the companies progress. Maybe that’s just me, maybe this sort of thing happens all the time.
Why do people jump the gun always, why do people think China will keep doors closed for so long, their economy will suffer otherwise, I'm sure this will be over ina few weeks, things are moving and being made ready for when China opens doors again
You may be right, bad prophet. You may be wrong. Only time will tell.
Meanwhile there are positives in the RNS and should not be ignored. The positives do show MB is not just sitting on a deck chair in Italy. There have been some noteable moves by MATD.
Yes. 1 Week. Don't worry, I'll stay till MB has exhausted the funds from the most recent raise that he stole from you longer term masochists.
It was a daft punt. I admit it.
ID78 I make progress in contracts in my job all the time. What we mean by it is to progress up to where the problem is whilst simultaneously work to remove the problem .. that is probably why I read the RNS wording in that way.
However I do believe it is an honest and realistic RNS. I hope too that Heron comes on line this year.
The drop following today’s RNS is a good opportunity to top up at these prices.
So you invest for one week ?
Ah so your T trade failed.
GLLTH's
The RNS to a lot of words to convey one simple message - NO OIL THIS YEAR. gla
Wow. I only bought in last week having done a moderate amount of research....clearly should have done more! Gave MB the benefit of the doubt and assumed that no one could be so inept as to f*ck up the final stages of the extraction initiation from Heron 1.
Having read then re read the RNS, I conclude that he most certainly can f*ck it up. Where did MB come from? Has he ever successfully headed an exploitation team? He looks and acts like a local parish council member, except I've met Parish Councillors with twice the charisma and gravitas.
Looks like I've done my money on this one. C'est la vie.
As i read it and also see it from looking at the news. China needs to stop over reacting to every single case and imposing massive lockdown restrictions on millions of its citizens for a single case. This must stiffling its economy and consequently having a knock on effect with oil storage in Mongolia. Once China starts to relax those restrictions and i do not think we can blame this on MB then things should start to restart. We should start to see workforce move across borders and oil start to be used in China again and then the oil will flow from Mongolia. This is not the end of the world just a bit more patience. This has been a long game for some and will remain as such i have moved my estimates by another year now. Shame because the oil price is so high at the moment and we do not know what it will be in a year. My car wants the price to come down my shares want it go up and i am playing piggy in the middle between the two factions. lol and GLA
PatShare, completely agree with you....Quite a positive RNS, nothwistanding the annoying covid delays.
I had mentally written off any Raptor drilling this year, but it still seems to be in play, a bit of icing on the cake, or maybe a whole new cake entirely.
Patience is a virtue I've got better at , thanks to being a long term holder in Matad.Lol
I agree, some significant positives. Some frustration regards delays on materials crossing the border
from China. A mixed bag.
Questions were asked here last Friday and over the weekend about the company, these questions have been addressed, which is good to see.
We are beginning to get an idea of why DQE are taking so long ‘Matad has supplied a multi-year target work programme’.
Share price now down 6% ….
I'm no expert here but seems to me to be the usual knee-jerk market reaction to what is actually a positive and explanatory RNS.
They aren't really telling us anything new, we all know there are Covid-related problems in China, lockdowns and such causing manufacturing and supply chain chaos in all kinds of ways, not least of all oil production in Mongolia.
Only time will eventually resolve all of the issues PM are encountering in their quest, ultimately we will all need to be a little more patient for our reward.
FA please find one single post where I personally started a thread with or even suggested "licence revoked".
I expressly stated that such posts were incorrect and said that it appeared the issue was the removal of approval of the environmental impact assessment by the local Soum.
Nice try but I was correct. You werent.
Now stop your ad hominem attacks.
I note you post about 40 posts a day according to your posting history. Thats 5-6 posts an hour! Who are you?
Curioser - MRPAM suggest land access is not a concern:
‘ We are advised by industry regulator, the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia (MRPAM), that this will allow work on all Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) areas to progress without land access delays whilst the planned amendments to the land law that will remove the current legal ambiguities pass through parliament.’
I just had another close read of the RNS. The central government directive relates to land USAGE and not land ACCESS. Two different things surely?
Id love to post things like "yeah multi bagger here. Good luck to all genuine holders" too, but Im going to stick with asking thorny questions, to see if we can get some clarity.
As bit of a medium term gamble it's time to top up.
Hopefully the price will drop again in time for another top up.
Basically happy with that RNS.
Covid is a pain beyond the control of the company.
Plenty going on though .
I thought FA had done with this BB. Sadly not! Perhaps the rampers will now pull in their horns & stop the name calling?
Can't believe that we are still negotiating. Just don't know what to say here anymore..
Atleast the emails worked and we managed to get to the bottom of the land issue.
It'll balance back out soon enough, just a few people jumping out to look for a quicker return elsewhere, which is fine too
