What is happening in the HoC is called Democracy.... something we should be very proud of that we are not a tin pot nation .... Still are you looking for that DUP / Labour alliance and the Custom union amendment... that will drive a coach and horses through the Tory party ... Boris and Cummings have upset too many people ...Levis that’s not the coffee your getting a whiff of this morning it’s the second referendum.....
Keeps smiling and don’t let it spoil your day
Re Bercow
Does anyone think that he will allow the second vote ... personally I think he will .. but don’t be surprised if he doesn’t... He’s another one that the ERG have turned on ... For Ed him to jump first and offer to stand down before the next election... yes I know that was a good move as Boris will struggle to choose his successor.... I suppose the point I’m making here is that if you pîzz too many people off then ultimately things come back to bite you ... The Speaker The DUP The 21 Tories cast off like dogs The TIG group some of whom were Tories .... The game becomes more difficult for yourself
Well Theresa May was given three votes, so the precedent has been set.
Highlight of the weekend was Sophie Ridge interviewing John McDonald on Sky as he bleated about Democracy lol, the party whose manifesto was to leave Brexit and coming from a Marxist!!!!
On the contrary Chelsea ... the highlight was Gove admitting that he had a bet on with Han**** about Brexit date ... only to then change his mind later to say it was the majority of the vote utter boll. Locks ... Han**** would appear to have more sense
Pat, democracy, don’t make me laugh. The 600 plus in the HofC had their chance to vote as did we. It was a vote to leave, why now are their votes worth anything afterwards, Oh because they didn’t get their own way and all of them are still looking forwards to being made millionaires like the Kinocks. They certainly do not believe in democrat in the HofC
Pat2014.If Farage gets his act together there maybe a small change in the attitude of the HoC after a GE.An agreement between him and the Con Leader of the time would probably get a vote to leave through. However, I see two big problems, firstly it would the end of the Tories in power and secondly this EU Treaty stinks to high heavens and Farage knows it.
Regrettably only one solution is viable ,a second peoples vote, this being caused by the Cons being unable to get anything through else the HoC.
I know you have a relation sitting in the House and good luck to him but this present example of Democracy seems to be for the toffs and feckless.
Can anyone not see this crowd if they got this Treaty through would ruin our Country with their inability to negotiate. The last 3 years being a prime example.
Dinger ... there are counter arguments here everywhere.. for example Boris illegal prorogation of Parliament..but as a leaver you will not see that as being un democratic.... We have a strong democracy that is able to scrutinise things ... forget about that being Brexit related and count that as a blessing ... we could be like Venezuela... Sorry I picked the wrong country there ... we could be like Venezuela:):):):):):):):)
Chelsea7.If you are referring to John McDonnell, we heard it all before.Yeah yeah yeah.
So what your saying is that 600 plus people who in the HofC are worth more than the 35 million people who voted in the referendum???? That’s not what I call democracy, seems more like China to me !!
James .. the last thing the Tories want is for a GE without having sorted out Brexit .. they will lose seats in Scotland probably lose seats to Lib Dem’s and possibly to Brexit party .. the question is will those miners in Mansfield vote for the Tories ... GE could lead to hung parliament... Some Tory voters may be uneasy with an alliance with Farage .. 5 million Tory votes voted remain
Please can we just keep this thread to Lloyds chat.
There are many thousands of chatrooms elsewhere , where everyone can talk about Brexit.
Time to buy the FTSE 100 unloved stocks like Lloyd's IMHO
big bounce just waiting to happen
What goes around comes around
Agree SUFC.Nearly at Tranmere!
Hi Viking Shrimper
Signs of improvement
Maybe the players are finally up for the, survival fight :-)
Go go the black horse
Pat 2014.Agreed making a second vote the favourite.A full disclosure of the deal would not go amiss also.Credibility will be everything in the vote.
£ holding up well.
Dinger. That is the way it has always been.In the past we had people of stature in the HoC alas no more.
Cuckoo
“ In the past we had people of stature in the HoC alas no more”
Yes, we now have people like Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell and Diane Abbott infesting tue House of Commons.
Roo pure delusion ain't the votes in the HoC for a second vote. End of.
JR
''making a second vote the favourite''
Absolutely ZERO mandate for another referendum.
The country voted in a government offering the 2016 referendum.
The country would need to vote in a government offering a referendum to join the EU
Correct lti there is zero mandate for a referendum. Zero appetite in the public too.
1 million people marched in London for a second referendum. There is a lot of appetite for a second ref. Nobody voted for no deal.
and 65 million didn't.

''Nobody voted for no deal''
Intelligence is certainly lacking with some on here.
Have you forgotten. The vote was to leave the EU.
We did not vote for a withdrawal agreement (deal).
Any trade deal negotiations will come after we leave.

''1 million people marched in London for a second referendum''
You are even exaggerating the organisers put out figure.
They said up to. So could be any number below that couldn't it.
You have to cut their figure at least in half I would think.
A123
Why do they call it 'the peoples vote' march?
surely everyone knows that it is a 'stop Brexit' march.
Let me know when a 'stop Brexit' March reaches over 17.4 million participants.
Figures from at least 2 reliable sources though.
According to a credible source just over 78,000 marched in London at the weekend of which most were chasing Rees-Mogg and his kid around London
