Millario - I had though of this myself. But any insider buying could easily be absorbed by retail sellers?
Also, all of the insiders are existing shareholders, on dealing lockdown, and already stand to gain hugely anyway. Why take more risk be getting your best mate to buy another 100k?
The deal will be done with limited people in the room.
From experience I doubt we will hear anything until next week at the earliest . Hunts new floor limit and varnishing the finer details will lead to a slight delay . I’m on the bus and sitting near the front . GLA
Most days there is more chat posted here than share trades, It is down to the wire for which there could be valid reason. GLA
Call Me sceptical, but If you are talking about a possible re-rate anywhere between 5 & 20 times the current share price then that's way too much potential money to be made for no one to know anything at all (imo anyway).
Hope I'm wrong though.
Christmas eve when you're not sure if you're going to get the GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip.... but yes.
Do we think JOG know what the EPL floor is? I don't, and it being so close to an announcement, it'll take a while to run the numbers on the financials?
Would seem odd to announce a big development before Chancellor has committed to a floor?
I will be reading Ithaca's results RNS carefully and will listen to the call as well. Looking for a hint.
Hoping for an RNS deal closed Friday am, but if they miss that without saying anything I would amazingly take it as a positive (although nervy) waiting for a result next week.
I don't know about anyone else, but if I'm going to miss a deadline I manage expectations - I don't wait until the day it's due and say 'sorry I haven't done it'.
Who knows!?!? The share price level & activity the last 10 days doesn't scream that an amazing announcement is imminent to Me. But what do I know (that's nothing btw) ;-)
Am I the only one that feels like this is Christmas Eve?
I know some will mock but it seems to me the stars are aligned so I'm expecting to hear from JOG tomorrow.

"Hunt is now widely expected to bring in a price floor for the Energy Profits Levy, meaning the tax would only be active when oil prices were above ‘normal’ levels."
"I'm here to stop people like you trying to hoodwink others about the potential" !!!!! So selfless and caring!! What a joke! Briggs, if you want to deramp at least try thinking up a different story that's more believable. And I would suggest a new ID too for a fresh start. Otherwise no-one will take you seriously.
yes of course. I'll happily buy your imaginary shares.
I'm here to stop people like you trying to hoodwink others about the potential
Briggs why are you posting on here ??. If you’re not invested then why ? . Don’t say for a second you’re concerned about our money you don’t give a toss . You want the price to collapse so that you can add more .
The shares are patently not tightly held, JS. They are down 50% on a few months back you clown.
I think it's fair to point out if they had acquired a producing asset to keep themselves busy shareholders would have taken a bath.
The marginal benefit of a small player snapping up an asset in NS is 10000 times less interesting than getting Buchan farmed out. There is competition from smart money in that area at the moment anyway.
I'm sure if they were dead in the water they would not take it to a cliff edge. Expectations would be managed. A hint from Ithaca in their call or results Thursday and we'll be back up there. Ithaca is 'committed to NS'... and without Buchan reserves down 30% by 2025 (first oil GBA?).
Whatever. Anyway the day of judgement is nigh, let us brethren stand and be counted. I added another few k just now selling something else.
Institutional and large holders are waiting whilst the small time nervous holders are selling . Very tightly held cannot believe why people would sell now .
What is your agenda Briggs ?
If you haven’t invested then why are you wasting your time . You strike me as one of life’s unlucky dole claimants who is struggling with the cost of living .
Have any of your calls or emails been returned from the BOD in which you have so much faith, JS?
LOL … nothing positive for the SP expected here. Just more jam tomorrow and the never ending story.
Mr B and his team will be in complex negotiations in trying to get the deal across the line . The WFT news couldn’t come any sooner . Exciting and positive week ahead for all holders of Jog shares . People fail to realise this is not exploration but an Oil ready basin with 160m potential oil barrels . Where else are you going to find such a great opportunity and it’s right on our doorstep in the UKCNS .
Yes, surety, naturally that would be my preference, it just isn't what I am expecting at this point in the game.
The option of saying nothing, although possible, would really be a slap in the face.
The RNS statement was akin to saying "I'll pick you up this afternoon, possibly by 4.30 pm but certainly or definitely by 5 pm"
If there was a no show, you would be more than entitled to ask "Where were you?" and expect an answer.
Battery your talking complete rubbish . Why don’t you shut up and move away .
Thats because he has no shares clearly. The reasons for a delay is obvious with the shambolic British government. But to ensure energy security we need oil and gas and government policy needs to change.
Surely if you’ve got shared your preference would be a deal RNS first.. ?!? Each to their own I suppose ..

Sadly you might well be on the money with the no Comms view. Bungling Benitz seems unlikely to deliver imv, he was booted from daddy's oil co, failed to deliver on the original purpose of Jog (to buy cheap late life producing assets and run them hard for cashflow), booted the only oilman from the c suite, and has backed the firm into a corner with his unnecessary timeline. The only Monday morning RNS I want to read is that the board have terminated his employment with immediate effect. This will fall dramatically on Friday afternoon if there is no RNS by then. Hate to see peeps lose money on aim, but when so many warning signs are ignored it's hard not to understand how it happens. I am down to just 25% of my original shares now and only keeping a small amount of skin in the game on the offchance something good comes out of this mess. But i am not expecting a deal at this point.
Options I had were - announce deal; announce no deal; issue an excuse.
Further possibility - say absolutely nothing. End of first quarter comes and goes without a cheep from HQ.
Wouldn't surprise me one bit.
