Losing seats in the Scottish Election might bring a change from Labour, but the idiotic SNP and the complete maniac Greens are going to be in control after May (despite the utter mess they have made up here for years). Their policy matters regarding the North Sea aren't in reality worth a button, as it is a reserved matter.

The SNP didn't vote for the North Sea Rosebank/ Jackdaw motion.

Hopefully the North East voters remind them of this at the polls.

Best chance for change of policy is a Labour destruction in Scotland.

Last Westminster election being an exception, Labour don't get elected without their Scottish Labour MPs.

Hopefully, May is a wake up call to try and save their own jobs.....even though they are goosed next time (and they/ we know it - thankfully).

Re EPL and Jackdaw/ Rosebank, Scottish Elections on 7th May 2026 means purdah starts on 26th March 2026, meaning no policy announcements can be made during this time.

Think it was me who was feeling gloomy, not DiveCentre.

You are of course correct they could be working on something - they have said so in many RNS for some years (even a wind farm thing if my memory is correct).

Nothing has come to fruition.

We have four Directors earning probably in excess of a million a year.

Why 4?

I think we could lose a couple and put some money towards Buckaroo or Kerrplunnk to pass the time...maybe go mad and buy Scalextrix?

The fact that we have a fairly good cash position is no reason to burn it.

Lets look for some value for money.

I really don't doubt the Directors are really capable folk, but from my perspective, absolutely nothing has happened with JOG in 2025 (wherever the cause lies), so the year end report card is 0/10 I'm afraid.

Since the 2nd September 2024, the "slowing down RNS" date of issue, what had been achieved/ produced...call it what you will.

We could well be sitting here this time next year waiting on NEO...perhaps 2030 till the EPL gets tossed.

The Oil Companies and Tanker Drivers have the ability (should they wish) to end this nonsense.

Shut down for a couple of weeks completely and watch the repurcussions - the fuel strikes nearly did for Tony Blair.

As for JOG, it's all in the hands of NEO, but we should expect some sort of direction from Our Board as to their expectations and timelines (if only for decisions being made).

I would also suspect that the NTSA or whatever they are called this week shouldn't tolerate this inertia - if I've got time, I'll email them to ask in general their views, policy on this Licence, the Arrangements and what (if anything) they have/ are/ going to do about it.

As to our Board, the reality for the last year is that nothing has happened. Nothing.

Big Salaries are getting paid for what is in effect a Dormant Company.

This can't/ shouldn't go on.

I suspect they will be busy (who knows apart from them), but from a shareholders point of view, we are paying an awful lot of money to people to sit and wait for the phone to ring from NEO.

Year end is a good time to address this from the Board and I would hope for meaningful action or reaction from them regarding 2025 and more importantly 2026.

We all appreciate there is a limited amount they can do, but the running costs are something they can act on and, from my point of view, must do...even if it is deferring payments until the project goes forward.

2025 has been awful for JOG holders and at the moment there is no sign of this improving in 2026.

Action is needed on running costs.

Direction is needed (even if it's timelines) for investment decisions).

The Board can surely act and update on these points.

The NSTA? - well I will try (but don't hold your breath).

Think it will be Streeting, but have no faith in any of them.

Miliband would be a contender, but think that as he's been leader before, they would try something new.

Rayner seems to be ready to come back into the Cabinet - absolutely no shame from any of them.
