At least up here in Scotland, amongst the deviant 5 Green MSPs, 2 of them have now been added to the Cabinet. When I tell you that there titles are 1. Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants' Rights; 2 Minister for Green Skills, Circular Economy and Biodiversity in the Scottish Government.
Those titles alone are enough to make you break out in a sweat.
Needless to say that, as Government Ministers, they are anti growth. Not an opinion. A stated fact (by them).
So they openly state that they don't think the country should grow and they get made cabinet ministers.
The Minister for Zero Carbon was the recipient of the award from the paedophile folks. Is anti growth. Supports Tenants rights by banning anybody from having second homes to rent out, so no landlords = no tenants. He also rides a bike (except when in his government chauffer driven limousine) and expects everybody else to do the same (good luck with that, folks in the rural Highlands when you are lucky to get 1 bus a week)
The Circular Economy Minister is in charge of the bottle return scheme. She's the Canadian trapeze artist, who has been a director of wave energy companies, before they went bust (twice). Circular Economy is short for going round and round in circles in a complete daze, looking more incompetent by the lap. A position she excels in.
She also has fallen into the trap of blaming people for using private healthcare (as the government she forms has completed ruined what was left of the NHS). I have no problem with people using the private care system if they want. Her excuse was that her disease was more important than the general publics , so she had a right to pay and jump the queue. Sorry granny, there is a cabinet minister who is more important than you.
They are the cream of the bunch.

The funniest part of all the SNP leadership campaigns (that down south I hope you are all missing out on) is that they have absolutely no policies they agree on. Only Independence. Nothing else.

The third candidate hasn't been asked as nobody really knows who she is or where she is. She'll probably win.
So yes it's a complete mess in Westminster, but if you really want a laugh, come up to Scotland to do the politics - it's like a 2 reel Buster Keaton show, which is only going to get much more ridiculous, funny and so, so sad that we have come to this.

I share the pain you fell with the present bunch of maniacs in power at Westminster.
However, I will see your Westminster and raise you the Scottish Holyrood Parliament.
Where to begin...probably with the Green Party.
5 MSPs who have finagled there way into political decision making through a list system where nobody directly voted for them.
One is a South African maniac and another is a Canadian maniac - all 5 of them hell bent on breaking up the UK. The Canadian is co-convener and also a trapeze artist. The other co-convener has accepted accepted and keep an award named after the co-founder of PIE (paedophile information exchange). There is also a professional schoolboy amongst their ranks.
It goes without saying that they want to shut down the oil and gas industry.
They also now want to trash the whisky industry by banning advertising, minimum unit alcohol pricing (which means a litre of Grouse is now £ 4 more expensive in Scotland than the rest of the UK, whisky visitor centres look like they may have to close due to the advertising ban - and they are also in the throws of bringing in a deposit return scheme which will add 20 p to every can and bottle produced in Scotland, until recycled. The result is that 40% approximately of the domestic Scottish drinks industry have said they won't participate in it, and I have a fair idea that the wine producers of France, Spain and all will tell them to take a long walk off a short pier - meaning Scotland will become...well...sober (maybe).
They also were behind the Gender Reform Bill - the one that allows you to declare that you are a woman and go in and get changed with Ladies under 21 netball team - or be a rapist and then say you are a woman - but most importantly of all now, you are NOT allowed to say if somebody is a man or a woman - that is now a heinous crime.
Thankfully, the menace that was Sturgeon has gone and we have 3 real squibs fighting to be Leader. One Wee Free Christian (real fire and brimstone), one complete failure Muslim chap who has been a cabinet Minister for years (after quitting his job in a call centre) and has failed his way to success in every post he had (you know, so useless that they promote him to the point where they think he can do least harm - he also plays the race card like a Mississippi card shark) and a third candidate, who would struggle to pick herself out of a police line up, but at least had the decency to vote against the Gender Reform Bill (that's the level we've reached - stat the blindingly obvious and you have then crossed the extremely low bar to being First Minister)

Probably a dreadful investment strategy that last sentence, but from the risk side of investing in AIM, coupled with the greed associated with the promise of great riches which some of us humans have (gamblers), I'm sticking in.

I think there will be a deal struck. But what will the terms be?

Unfortunately from my experience of some "sure things" in the past, don't be completely shocked if we get turned over.
Everything crossed that doesn't happen - I could do with the cash!!

In Q1 was stated, and I doubt any CEO would announce dates that were potentially right to the wire.

Many (like me) lost their shirts with that debacle, and the weasel words from the BOD still hurt.
Their was a member of the management team who stood up at an event and told everyone that the shares would be some of the then then share price (roughly £3 or £4 at the time from memory - we didn't grasp that the "multiple" was to be downwards to zero). Not long after a bunch of them sold shares, which should have been the 100 foot high warning sign that we were being had.
Painful, painful stuff - the biggest culprit being myself for being taken in, when I really should have known better.
The lesson, moral or whatever, is that I take these pronouncements from the Directors with a pinch of salt (rightly or wrongly).
The adage "full me once, shame on you; full me twice, shame on me" rings loud.
So all of that experience may lead me to be pretty harsh/ suspicious to CEO's, which in JOG's case may be wholly unwarranted (I will be delighted to come back on here and eat a whole trolley load of humble pie when a great deal arrives - aisle 26 in the local Aldi has a great selection of flavours - might have to find the Marks and Spencer range if it is as good as I hope/ dream)
I hope with all my heart that is the case, firstly from a financial perspective for my selfish self, but from the humanity point of view, I would like to see people succeed (I think what the JOG Directors have done really does merit success both from a financial and business satisfaction perspective).
The caveat - if March comes and goes, I'm afraid any credibility Andrew has will go with it, together with a marked reduction in the share price.
Others will make the pronouncements from then on.
I hope it doesn't play out that way.
Finally, given the "certainly" quip, I am guessing that there two (at least) offers on the go.
One, which may be a buy out, with a pretty low ball offer of some £ 3 ish open for acceptance for 90 days (some time in March). Let's call it the safety net; the last chance saloon or whatever, date set by the proposed purchaser.
Another deal(s) being discussed, probably farm out)s) on much better terms, but with a JOG stated deadline on it of mid March.
As usual, could be miles wrong, but trying to understand other circumstances where "certainly" would be allowed to pass the Regulatory scrutiny.

Trying to square the two statements.

To my reading, the first is a slam-dunk - a no doubter.

The second is a well, let's hold on - certainty with risk?

Perhaps I should be asking a politician - probably make perfect sense to them, but I would like their Advisers to explain that one away

FWIW in my simple view, the Licence for Verbier wouldn't be extended by NSTA without some sort of evidence that it was going to be progressed to their satisfaction (ie financed).
The "certainty" of Andrew could be changed by either factors out with the Company's control (I can confirm that the RNS "certainly" says that) or if the Company (JOG/ Andrew) change tack ie farm out to sale, or vice versa.

I suppose the question is when is a certainty not a certainty?

My "concern" is that the share price is falling on no news.
At the time of the RNS of the 29/11, the share price had fallen from roughly £3 to £ 2.
The RNS stopped the fall and rallied to approximately £2.50.
I'm pretty sure the wording in the RNS was to address that falling price.
Well, we are now back at that level.
Just a re-affirmation from the Board that all continues as stated - no "news" just a confirmation, to hopefully stop the slide, and possibly bump the price up.
I still think a deal is done, so why should I bother?
When deals are announced, the price of the share on a previous closing date(s) is usually stated to promote the offer/ deal made.
I would much rather that the deal is 100/200/300% of a price of £ 3.00 than £ 2.00.

Sent an email to JOG via their official web page for the attention of Andrew Benitz.
Hopefully he is too busy with concluding matters on an extraordinary deal (my hope, anyway) or they don't check the email server (or have and can't be bothered to reply). Take your pick.
Simply asked that, after the email of 29/11/2022, could he confirm the following:
RNS gave a 4 month window for "certainty" of outcome (Andrew's words and not forced on him, I assume).
Could he confirm that the statement was still the case?
Nothing more, nothing less. Just a re-affirmation of what was previously notified.
The "if not by end December" is now in the bin, and we are 2 months along from his unprompted announcement, with a further 2 months to go, why not give us a nod, officially by press release, or unofficially by email (a response which I would share, good or bad)?
Not asking for "more" news, just that statements made to the shareholders and wider market stand pat

I hope like most it's a takeover for a substantial sum of money.
However, the wording does seem to be farm out.
I wonder if the "possibly December" would relate to ratification of any of any possible deal at a board meeting to be held sometime in December by a Purchaser?
Possibility of decision being signed off being slightly delayed to the non board members being delayed? Possibility of Main board asking for some clarifications, resulting in decision being delayed till next months board meeting.
The Team dealing with the negotiations may well think all is done, but if anybody has had dealings with a Board of Directors, it is a bit optimistic to expect a straightforward slam dunk answer at the first go. Often there is a query ofver pretty trivial points that they just want double checking and confirming.
As to value, I wonder what the share price reaction to a farm in will be?
Obviously dependant on terms, but how many of these tightly held shares will people want to cash in having waited long enough.
Will a good announcement that doesn't give an almost instant ^ 0r £ 7 per share be seen as a bad deal?
Will the rush to monetise your holding depress the price?
Will people who are prepared to hang on till first production be the ones who are really rewarded?
All a big "Who Knows"?
Personally as I said above a clean takeover would be the preference.
Do I want to hang around much longer in this share? Not really.
Give me the cash and I'm off, fairly certain that AIM has seen the last of my money and the North Sea in particular can forget it.

Year end is 8 1/2 days to Christmas plus 2 1/2 days between Christmas and New Year (when nowt will get done).
Why say "if not" if there isn't a real possibility of that happening.
I'm sure the wording of these releases are scrutinised by several parties and are pretty stringent on what can and cannot be said.
My opinion is that, whilst it won't "definitely" happen this year, I have a feeling it is more likely than not.
Not one of these "wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend" garbage posts, but if you have been invested our interested in JOG over the years, it really is thin ice time if you are anticipating or holding off for an entry point.
I think the price will reflect that in the coming days.
