@ hurtsparrow.
Daniel has a few more days to get his act together then.
Looking at the share price fluctuations after his initial "bid", it would seem that any new offer will not be much higher. There are people in the know. Why has the current buying price not been hammered? It's all very odd, don't you agree?
I'm now actually hoping that VESA are successful, at whatever price they deem fit. There would be a massive cull, starting at the top. All the dead wood, white collar workers, of which there are thousands, will be gone. The waste is absolutely shocking. And anyone, of any grade, who works within RM, would agree.
IsleworthSpy - ‘I'm now actually hoping that VESA are successful, at whatever price they deem fit.’
The price that VESA ‘deem fit’ is irrelevant…..given that it will be the shareholders that ultimately make the decision as I’ve been telling you for many years….but the information has bounced off your dense skull on numerous occasions.
The last bid of 320p didn’t even make it past the board and was instantly rejected. That tells you everything you need to know.
‘There would be a massive cull’
I agree. But it won’t only be the ‘white collar’ workers on the chopping block.
The dead wood would be easy starting at the base c42k for a COM basic. Some still retain the old grading 65k+.Bonkers.
Thousands easy you will not find any other job with some many job titles within.
Anyway aside from my bitterness (?) I'm still hopeful we can hit the £3 mark soon then I can look at exiting. The timing of the FT seems there is certainly still plenty left to do but as with anything printed in the press, I would not always take it as gospel.
Genuinely would love to know what DK has planned for RM if he took over.
Can’t see the next offer being £4
That would be a big increase on £3.20, and that is just not how it works.
£4 is what I’d need for a reasonable profit, £3.35 I break even but erroded with
No divis and inflation.
Pretty dismal considering the risk of shares too
@ hurtsparrow.
42K. You can add another 10 grand to that.
2 managers to do 1 job. Daniel will love this. Get rid of the deadwood.
@ TheMoneyShark.
Although i loathe replying to the most abusive, obnoxious and odious poster i have ever come across, i feel compelled to reply. Just this bit here.
‘There would be a massive cull’ (my words and your response, below)
I agree. But it won’t only be the ‘white collar’ workers on the chopping block.
Do you fail to understand that the more jobs that go, makes my job ever more secure? I will not do any more work. My delivery points, letters, parcels, sorting and prep will all go up. But i will still finish at my time, but actually spend less time on delivery. This is not rocket science. Please try to understand that your attempt at trying to understand how delivery works, makes you look ever more stupid.
7-9 thousand routes lost, if OFCOM approve RM's proposal for the USO review. That's scary. NOT!
How many vacancies are RM running with at the moment?
IsleworthSpy - ‘Please try to understand that your attempt at trying to understand how delivery works, makes you look ever more stupid.’
I haven’t mentioned delivery. And I’m not interested in how it works either. I do understand business though and I know and have seen what happens when unscrupulous investors acquire businesses……..so I was pointing out that your assertion that ‘white collar workers’ will be culled is only a partial reality……
Hence why Dave and his band of idiots are on high alert and are extremely desperate for the takeover not to happen.
And for good reason.
@ TheMoneyShark….
"""".so I was pointing out that your assertion that ‘white collar workers’ will be culled is only a partial reality……""""
If VESA take over there will be a wholesale culling of white collar workers, IMO. Why are you not championing this? It will reflect positively on your loss making portfolio.
So, what's the rest of the reality then?
Getting rid of the people who do the real work? Who will do this work then?
You are clueless about what managers do. And that is from the highest area manager down to the delivery office managers, and their day covers, as well as the acting managers.
Do your due diligence and direct your "anger" in the right direction.
Shocking, from somebody "in the know".
IsleworthSpy - ‘Why are you not championing this?’
Because I’d find it much more amusing if the striking ‘tards were axed in the thousands and out on the bread line. One can live in hope? Lol.
‘It will reflect positively on your loss making portfolio.’
In my highly successful portfolio? with IDS soon to be another company in my growing collection of taken over businesses for big bucks? Correct 100% of the time. It’s not my fault I’m genetically and intellectually superior to you in every conceivable way? Lol.
Don’t worry, as soon as I’ve made a massive wedge, which I inevitably will here one way or another I’ll be moving onto my next substantial profit maker……and it’ll no longer be necessary to post here and to sweep you around the forum like a wet mop as I have done for a number of years.
Ispy, I filtered out our resident narcissist and self appointed moderator so that I wouldn't have to wade through their paragraphs of bile so I don't want to be reading their shyte secondhand. Thanks in advance.
Why engage with a poster who's original nickname of AngerSharkz was buying in at a fiver a pop and ramping this stock by telling everyone on here what a fantastic bargain it was? Fortunately his new account joined when the SP was around two quid so at least one of them should have a reasonable average?..........lol
Move over Warren Buffet, there's a huge green shares ISA account coming through........lololol
I'm expecting a bit of "green" today....lol
Schrodinger's Shark, where at the same time he's both massively underwater and fantastically in profit at the same time.
Who'd of thought eh???
Gone too far this time fella
Totally unacceptable whatsoever on any forum on any subject worldwide
Broch - Schrödinger? I’m impressed, so you did go to school after all?
The problem with your flawed analysis is that there difference between my holding in IDS and my investment portfolio…..both historical and current.
My investment portfolio is and continues to be massively profitable and 2024 has been extremely kind to me so far this year. Cashing in on both Barclays and Vistry both of which were long term holds for sizeable profit. Other notable contributions include S4 capital and Severfield in which I doubled my money in a relatively short period of time. Kerching.
My average price in IDS (my largest holding in my investment portfolio and is about 15% of total) is 301p per share……
Tell me Broch, am I going to end here massively underwater or fantastically in profit? Only, it will be a very amusing post for me to club you around the head with a little bit further down the road.
Lol.
Broch came running in like an over excited gimp but it turns out that he’s all c*ck and no balls. Like many others here.
He hasn’t/didn’t answer my question because like the other bitter and resentful losers here he knows the answer. Love to see it. Lol.
Not really Schrödinger’s cat because I know that the cat is very much alive and kicking.
Wednesday the deadline for Kretinsky and Schrödinger’s shark will be grinning regardless out of the outcome :-D.
@ Oli G.
You should never filter posters, because you miss out on gems like this:
"""Because I’d find it much more amusing if the striking ‘tards were axed in the thousands and out on the bread line. One can live in hope? Lol."""
That was in response to my white collar workers cull.
You also miss out on the pretend investments, where all are in profit. I wish i had hindsight like that. Maybe, i should make up some investments that i never had. Now, that would make me really important, in my own twisted little world.
There is good news. At 4 quid a share TheMoneyShark is selling up for a 30% profit (yeah, right), and he will never frequent this board again.
IsleworthSpy - ‘You also miss out on the pretend investments, where all are in profit.’
All profit made and banked. Evidence both on ADVFN and on LSE. Gutted for you. Gutted for you that I’m making money and you’re a bitter dipper haha. It’s all a beautiful thing.
Yes, I will be selling up for big profit but I will ‘probably’ never frequent this board again…..although coming here to skull f*ck you and your bitter dipper postie mates is often too much fun.
Maybe I’ll just check in with the fat numbers in my account just to slap my schlong across your face occasionally?
How does that sound to you? Haha.
@ TheMoneyShark.
How many shares do you actually hold in IDS?
Not the pretend version. Didn't i pull your investment to pieces a short while ago?
I'm waiting.
IsleworthSpy - ‘Didn't i pull your investment to pieces a short while ago?’
You pulled it to pieces? Do you mean you embarrassed yourself massively? Can you remind us how you pulled it apart exactly? I’d be more than happy to show why you’d be lucky if you had more than 3 brain cells again.
‘How many shares do you actually hold in IDS?’
I’m not stating that…..because the number could be large or small depending on how big the fish is. My average price is 301p and that makes up roughly 15% of my investment portfolio.
That’s all you need to know…..but then again your about to ingeniously pull it all apart…..
I Spy,
Schrodinger's Shark is both long and short on IDS. Apparently if K increases his bid he's quids in. If K pulls out and the share price collapses he's also quids in.
In the multiverse somewhere he's both a seasoned profitable investor or a loser sitting in his mum basement chatting shi#te.
I couldn't possibly comment on which ones posting on here!
Broch - ‘Schrodinger's Shark is both long and short on IDS. Apparently if K increases his bid he's quids in. If K pulls out and the share price collapses he's also quids in.’
No, he’s just long. If K increases his bid and it’s accepted then he’s quids in. If K pulls out then I continue to hold my shares and I wait for Royal Mail to return to profitability and then cash them in in a year or two. I’ve held since 2021 and I’ll happily hold until the time is right. See how simple this game is?
‘In the multiverse somewhere he's both a seasoned profitable investor or a loser sitting in his mum basement chatting shi#te.’
In this multiverse he’s the former. Although I wouldn’t really say ‘seasoned’ as he’s only been in the game for about 5 years.
Is there any particular reason why you can’t address me directly either like OliGarch can’t? Is it a Royal Mail employee thing? Is it on the application form that you have to be a b*tchy, resentful, gossiping little p*ssy that’s all c*ck and no balls? Lol.
There’s a multiverse somewhere where you’re not a spineless, boneless w*nker……but it’s a good job I only believe in the universal theory.
‘Schrodinger's Shark is both long and short on IDS.’
Add just a to add…..there’s nothing Schrödinger’s cat about this scenario and it’s very easy to be both long and short at the same time. I could be long in my ISA and short in my IG account……it’s not that remarkable.
But I can understand how that would be mesmerising for an old dipper like Broch.
astonishing that the post is still there from sunday morning despite reporting it and am sure i'm not the only one
an offence that carries 6 months for ****phobic behaviour. it has no place in online forums any more than face to face
astonishing just astonishing i can only assume moderation dont work on sundays
RT "astonishing that the post is still there from sunday morning despite reporting it and am sure i'm not the only one"
Thankfully my filter ensures I don't see the garbage posted by one individual. Unfortunately others that want to engage in argument cut and paste the text.
I don't wish to increase my filter which is currently applied to one individual. However it may be neccesary if others continue with the cut and paste.
Whats more comical Redceo is that the LSE filter as you can see has starred out the 4 letters of a completely non offensive word per se (albeit obvious) yet probably the most offensive word that can be thrown at another human that is imaginable is not automatically removed likewise
Quite bizarre to say the least.
