A lot of stocks seem to be creeping up since the GDP figures. I can sense a strong build from here :
1 DFS to come
2 Water management sorted
3 Top of ore body tantalisingly close
4 Once Hav and Telfer value comes out of the woodwork, we will suddenly be buying one or both.
5 Ernest Giles, new territory
6 GGP gas just hired an advisor who worked on the Newmont takeover, why would you do that? Why? Ha!
7 2nd biggest undeveloped gold asset in Oz and higher grades than the biggest = making faster gold!
8 Even if we sell out completely on Hav it will be 20p a share offer, nothing to lose.
9 Got the money to buy, and the backers, and the BoD, just waiting for value pegging...
10 One way or another, this ore is coming out, and will repay all investors at least threefold bare minimum.
"Even if we sell out completely on Hav it will be 20p a share offer, nothing to lose."
Unless you paid more than 20p.
Why would anyone agree to 20p ???
I hope Newmont agree to a lot less. π
Why would anyone agree to 20p ???
Because there's 5billion shares in issue.
Annual profits of Β£100m on 100% basis would put Greatland on a very undemanding PE of 10 (eps 2p). So very much within reach if the deal can be done.
@ Mibb
Well I for one haven't been invested here for the last 10 years (this July) for 20 effin' pence a share!!! π‘
With just over 2m shares held in total across my ISA and Pension I'm looking for more than the previous ATH to date at he very least before I would consider selling any! π€
It's been a long hard slog (especially the last three years) but 'our time' is getting nearer by the day! π
GLA
So July 2014 sp was less than half a penny? And you didn't sell in dec'21???
Unfortunately whether you like it or not,if GGP are getting starved out of this asset, being a minority partner, you'll not have much choice, before the fanboy/ girls pipe up about the bod, large investors, they've their own reasons for being here, and since they came, raising the sp,hasn't been one?
@ITS - must have pained you to see the last thread removed as you welcome disruption, so you of course decided to post something to stir the pot hopefully - in your case you are very obviously disruptive and looking to instigate issues. However, I'll respond constructively.
- Simply put even for those who were aware of the Orphan Period of the Lassonde Curve, those that held believed the existing infrastructure at Telfer would alleviate the usual slump alongside the fact that development was proceeding without a DFS and DTM BUT were proved wrong due to various factors, fair enough.
- The resulting sector sentiment and asset prices since early 2021 didn't favour AIM juniors generally until of late where the benefit still hasn't completed the usual top/down move for most AIM Juniors as has the lack of any new exploration results that might entail starting a new discovery hype journey from another project.
- The fixed path to production via a Newcrest JV was safe enough especially once GGP managed funding to be secured, again with a DFS still to be published. But unfortunately events have transpired to the current situation with Newmont buying Newcrest and deciding to divest Hav/Telfer.
- The transaction itself delayed the DFS/DTM and also the production schedule has extended due to this and some issues related to LCA from what was predicted in the PFS, on reflection as a newer sector investor, I'll be adding significant time onto initial production estimates within PFS studies in future as the norm in future investments and the same for development in more complex projects
- So we find ourselves in a situation where the market awaits the outcome of whom will own both assets and whether this means that GGP will be sole owners, find themselves in a new JV or perhaps even have their stake in Havieron bought or a takeover as IMO more remote possibilities but still profitable for most investors hopefully.
- I do recognise that many made a mistake thinking the path to production would be assured with Newcrest but M&A on such a scale is not easy to predict and that we'd only experience a minimal effect of the Orphan Period. Personally I was increasingly more reserved about further exploration success in the short term as my own knowledge increased about under-cover exploration and related info.
Easy to post on boards that you played the swings better when you actually never posted in my recall during the rise of 2020 on here... as you're such the sector expert, perhaps you can articulate what GGP management itself could have done instead during the last 4 years?
Funny that everyone but IOT can see the value creation of owning 100% of Havieron . And the reason? He is not invested here but doesn't waste an opportunity to comment on the SP. And the reason? Because he is not prepared to discuss rationally the asset. All he has is the SP - a one trick pony.
Excellent post Dip, re useful links.
I also commend your constructive post for the likes of the naysayers.
Thank you.
Take care all.

Eloquently put Dip. A good post amongst a sack load of poison I see today !
IMHO we are coiled poised & importantly equipped to spring up from here.
AIM is undoubtedly the Wild West but this is now a well managed growing machine of a company ready to take luck & judgement by the neck and bear fruit !
GLA!
LOL Panama, the 'sack load of poison' made me laugh with your own very unique and flowery way with words :-)
It's just human nature I guess playing out as the wait continues... we have uncertainty causing fear in some while this all plays out while some look to stir the pot as usual on this site, albeit htere are genuine posters who are worried and I am not in any way suggesting they don't have the right.
We enjoyed such an explosive discovery hype journey and everything seemed laid out like the easiest shot into goal. I favoured the JV as my favourite path as such a low risk easy way (with the right partner of course as we discovered with NCM!) to grow into a significant mining company but more short term benefit from sharp growth of my capital - but alas not to be - life as most of us know likes to throw us some curve balls and you just have to deal with things and for some this development is what they wanted, such as the MD Shaun.
The current path being pursued of sole ownership if both assets bought and funded at the right price offers the same opportunity to grow a huge company with perhaps an accelerated if higher risk path IMO albeit it wasn't my number one choice, it is up to all here to DYOR and decide if they feel the current team, banking syndicate and Wyloo metals convinces them to stay or get invested as they feel it is achievable and the right path of action for GGP.
Hopefully Mark has posted accurate intel about decline recommencing - will also try and find out from well known sources of intel elsewhere if can be verified :-)
...Building slowly, but surely, today too. Currently 6.45p, a 5 week intraday high.
All off the back of Markβs bowel habits.. seemingly! lol
In all seriousness the upwards move should trigger some buy signals and snowball hopefully! Looking good.
Up to 6.5p...
Sorry, 6.55p...
Looks like something has slipped out from 12pm today, hope its the news we are waiting for.
HFG
Would tend to agree, seems something has popped up on the grapevine. Itβs going g to be hilarious how quickly this could potentially pop.
Leak? Or short covering call made?
IMHO, the latter is more likely, based on what I posted early on Tuesday, that, "I don't know about the specific level of shorter's currently, but, in the past few days I have sensed a very subtle change in tone, from completely negative, to slightly more positive, from some of the usual suspect de-rampers on this forum and others...Like all of their ongoing manipulation on here and other sites, it's usually very subtle and well planned."
Have just listened to the MO interview and there appears to be some genuinely bullish news coming from the sector.
Things about to get very spicy here soon and before you know it. π₯
