Just a 2p buy-out to clear the decks,
and give Miley his million.
2p, is equivalent of around £320M of which cannot see ZM & SN being that happy on that. Especially as sunk costs for exploration was more than that.
At this very moment in time, I would be happy with a penny. That would give me some profit, but more importantly, it would get me out of this nightmare!
In terms of payback, if we get anything from either the arbitration or a deal beforehand, and that is a big if imo, then FRR will look to move on to Moldova and bid for Ukraine again presumably. It may or may not continue in Georgia depending on the outcomes of all the variables. To move on it will require funding and working capital and it will also have to pay Hope off, the employees and legal fees.
Imo there are two possible monetarisations of our investment: either relisting or a buy-out (either partial or full). A dividend is possible but remote imo as any funds they get they will want to reinvest in the future.
I just hope that we get to a point where the above speculation/debate becomes real but I took Zaza's recent statement as a sign that he expects bad news from the arbitration and so wants a deal done with the GG beforehand, and has enlisted the politicians' support for the same reason.
Others of you think differently. That's what this board is for.
GLA
Kipper, ditto
Odr - funny you mention Ukraine
The Dolphin gas field can be broken into several lots .
2 hours ago 2 2
The Dolphin offshore oil and gas field may be put up for competition by several lots to attract as many international companies as possible to gas production in Ukraine.
.
Spent couple of days off the board, to only return to odr's doom and gloom lol
Tsbs: not explained before. The more I have reflected on his motives for this, the more I think that he thinks we will lose. If he was confident he would remain silent and await the good result. But the fact he has spoken and that they issued the conciliatory statement beforehand, together with mobilising the politicians suggests to me that he desperately now wants to force/cajole the GG into an agreement before the arbitration.
I hope I am wrong but it is just the way I have interpreted what is happening.
Indeed PJOHN ... you should have stayed away ...
Quite sure most lths were relieved that zaza had given the interview especially after all the ruski/georgian bull***t that had been and still is reported.
Tsbs - you forgot that you have to make allowances for Southampton fans!
ODR on this case I agree with TSBS as I think that the outcome would be uncertain.
If he thought he/FRR were in a losing position he would have been more cutting and direct with his comment on the treatment of FRR from GG.as he had nothing left to lose. The open and approachable stance I agree left the door open to a conciliation with GG. He knows politics and has keep the door ajar.
To me he did not want to burn bridges but showed statesmanship in the interview but we all have our own opinions and for once I hope TSBS is correct :-)
ODR, I side with Tsbs and Regdik on the Zaza interview. This was on state TV and directed at the Georgian public. He was surely trying to redress the negative comments about Frontera and their workers. This was a PR exercise. The arbitration outcome and any potential deal struck prior to that would surely be unaffected by this interview. FRR is also fighting for its reputation in Georgia. If it survives these battles it needs to regain credibility in the eyes of the public.
i agree regdik...the arb will fall somewhere in the middle so will still require the two parties to work together at least in the short term while BP buy out our stake and take the fields on (according to B-2-0 :-))
Too easy odr always knew I'd get a little nibble lol just lol
Still no f******* share certificate in sight!!!!!!!!!!!!
not in HSBC!
Disappeared from my kids JISA’s a few months ago with Charles Stanley.
Will worry about it if it ever looks like it will be worth ‘owt.
Still very unsure about that, but the dogs still chasing...
On this I will go with previously mention of which was ZM after saying Frr had not violated terms of PSA & went on to say that he feels optimistic.
So on him believing Frr had not violated PSA then even if they had in some minor ways with Frr having had put, so much funding & work into B12 then just feel Frr will come through.
As always said though it is only a formal announcement that will confirm all of this.
To add to reg’s post - I very much doubt FRR would have the backing of several congressman if they had not played this down the line. This is very high profile between the superpowers and the Russians and Russian sympathises would be looking at every detail to find a fault in FRRs actions, which in turn would embarrass the congressman. FRRs arbitration will be water tight compared to the GOGCs IMO
Big shout, been around a while R8pilot. No offence but you seem rather firm, even confident here....
There are a few feeling Frr will come through, but now we defintely know that Russia & Dream ******s have been wiping Putins backside then nothing, is certain.
Well the deadline for the submission for fees & final statement to the Arbitration is supposed to be in by today. So maybe we might get a bit of further idea as to the final judgement date soon?
After everything they been through, can't see how ZM and SN would want to carry working (in any shape or form), especially if FRR come out OK and and a monumental payday and the most crazy-asssed retirement plan awaits...
...if the opportunity is there, sell the lot, shut down FRR, with a special dividend of between 10p to 15p --- an' I ain't being greedy either ;-)
...failing that, I'll take a relist 10p...
CF73, if dreams were real eh?
