" I take the opportunity to insist on some compo, which helps focus their minds a bit ! These brokers never like a complaint to the Regulator as it costs them more in admin if nothing else !!"
Also they want to avoid complaints to the Financial Ombudsman as each complaint cost £750 to the institution win or lose, in addition when investigating a complaint they have to spend a lot of time to make sure they have followed the correct procedure in case it is referred to the FO.
Sam4224, if my divs were late twice, or very late, I take the opportunity to insist on some compo, which helps focus their minds a bit ! These brokers never like a complaint to the Regulator as it costs them more in admin if nothing else !!
Aj bell paid late Thursday afternoon
No Divi payment from Halifax yet either.
HL CONCERNS. Whilst I have this dividend being paid into II I have another that is paid into HL. Most recently HL failed to credit a dividend claiming that it had been lost on the day as a host of other company dividends had come in on that day and they had been over whelmed so it was never actioned. Three weeks later got the dividend with only an apology. HL require constant alertness.... and chasing. Good luck all
Currently on the phone to HL
They have mentioned a problem with exchange rate
If re-investing the divi with HL it doesn’t really matter as they only re-invest from the 11th of the month onwards.
212 haven't paid either Trek and "normally" they are VERY quick to distribute
I'd expect it today across all platforms
HL are the slowest at paying divi’s. They banked the bank holiday interest using investors cash who now have to pay more to reinvest divi into Dec.
It’s been called out here all the time.
ii similar in scale not perfect but miles better on payments.
BArc don’t even go there! Aweful!
Usual caveats

When I rang HL, they said that divis would be payable close of play on Thursday!
AJ Bell paid mine on 28th. I usually find HL more efficient than AJB but it appears not on this one....
I did make a complaint to Hl re the divi not being paid in a timely fashion. Unexpectedly I did receive a response on Good Friday believe it or not. And I quote ........
"Unfortunately, before we are able to release dividends to clients, we require confirmation of the exchange rate used by the bank to allocate this in proportion to clients"
I thought the FX rate would have been that declared by DEC themselves on March 20th.
I'm not missing something am I ???
I used to have DEC shares in my ISA and 15% of dividend was withheld every time. I sold my shares from ISA and bought in my SIPP. I received US $ 525 on my 600 shares, which is without taking a deduction of 15% tax. A very good outcome my opinion.
I recently moved from HL to iI, HL gave a good service (normally) but are not cheap, I only have £120k invested in a SIPP so moving to iI has ended up being much cheaper and once you get used to the different interface it is just as good. My divi from DEC arrived on the 28th at 10:43am
Mine arraived yesterday 0.6844p per share
I’m with HL, as yes I would expect div’s paid on time, but Dec is usually the next business day.. HL are already under the spotlight for holding cash and not paying much interest while earning lots. Just think how much across the business is being held for these 4 days. I’m really thinking about looking else where, but I do like and know the service.

Still nothing from HL, but not worried... It'll arrive lol.
Lukee already got myone with IG. They alwayz pay same day as divi payout by company.
Sure last dividend was a day late with HL. But still faster than some other brokers. Think with it being USD dividend and can't hold USD in account delays it too.
Closed until Tuesday now. Have a good long weekend all!
OK, slightly concerned. I'm also with HL. I sold and bought back again twice on the day before ExDivi. No money in my account. I didn't bother asking HL today. Anyone on HL got paid? Also, if I bought back before close of play the day before ExDivi, I do get the dividend?
Thanks in advance!
JungleBabbler: You are not alone - all those paying sky high fees for the well below par performance of HL (me included) are with you!!
I didn't receive my (nice large) divi today - shame I would popped a few in myself at £9 for sure.
Upside looks good though.
Put half my divi in at 900p. With ii.
Kept half thinking it may go lower next week…. Now look at it go! Doh!
Funds are there to invest but they are not cleared funds for cash transfer!
Bring on the blockchain eh! I mean it’s ridiculous having to wait for cash clearance nowadays!
Trek
In II it is not in the current balance yet but it is in pending, not exactly sure what this means, however I can use this to buy shares but I guess it can't be withdrawn (not tried as in SIPP) until in current balance.
Ahh... That would explain today's rise maybe. Just checked ii, it is in my account too, weirdly wasn't first thing.
