Instead of guessing an amount to spend, read the RNS dated 5th April and that will give you all details on the buyback programme
Yawn
Well aren’t you the clever one with your predictions, next thing you’ll be putting it down to your incessant ramping causing the price to rise, give it a rest.
‘Uk investors and shorter ‘ responsible for sp drop. You’re talking total crap. The US is responsible for the SP drop, doubts raised about methane leaks, not enough money to cap wells, potential prosecution for not/delaying capping wells and the list goes on.
Hate to say it but GG was right
Not that sad but it seems you were
Have you been through every transaction and arrived at £12.19 as the average?
Again you seem to have issues digesting and understanding the written word, maybe means maybe not a statement of fact
It’s good that you’ve now digested what was written in the RNS
For those hard of calculating and not reading the RNS , the max number of shares to be repurchased is 3,881,238, the £97m ish is the sum allocated last year for the buyback, the shares already purchased would be substantially more than todays price, maybe £20-25 equivalent.
If re-investing the divi with HL it doesn’t really matter as they only re-invest from the 11th of the month onwards.
Nobtrex.
It’s Trading one o one you dick, obviously your intelligence is very limited as GG proved on many occasions .
Jim’ll fix it .
If you can navigate that far back you’ll see I stated prior to ex div that I was selling up and buying back on ex divi day, all there in black and white.
I find it a bit crass when people post details of their trades, especially the ‘I’m in’ brigade.
Never mind though, you can carry on with your trading strategy and I’ll do the same.
Ps -with the £ strengthening almost daily against the $ your divi is reducing daily.
Jim bob
As it stands your ‘ fact ‘ is just your opinion, nothing more.
To be honest I really don’t give a crap as I sold out on the Wednesday and bought back on ex divi day, made my 7% increase in shares while you and many others are still working out the tender.
jimmy and nobtrex..
you seem to forget that this board is about discussion and opinions and you know what they say about *****oles and opinions , everyone has got one. so you two ********s have opinions like everyone else..
bring back gg says nobtrex, the bloke made you look a mug every time he commented, you weren’t intelligent enough too compete with him
Looking at the opposite opinion to mine.
Think this has mentioned before
1000 shares = £680 divi.
Stifel purchase 68 shares from the shareholder leaving 932.
The company use the £680 allocated to buy back from stifel and pay the shareholder £714, £34 profit on the sale but no dividend paid on the tendered shares , If this is the true option then it’s a no brainer, don’t do it

"For Qualifying Shareholders who would like to waive some or all of their Entitlement in consideration for the ability to tender their Shares in the Tender Offer, Stifel WILL PURCHASE SUCH SHARES at the Tender Price up to the amount of the waived Entitlement for each Qualifying Shareholder on the terms and subject to the conditions set out in this Circular...
As it says on the tin ‘waive the right to the entitlement’ ( divi) nothing more nothing less. There’s no mention of purchasing your share holding, though they could have clarified it better by saying something along the lines of “ shares will be purchased to the value of your entitlement “.
I reiterate that your original holding does not change
Jun man.
The company aren’t buying shares off shareholders, they are being bought from the broker by the company. The company will buy as your example 1 share from the broker, cancel that share, pay the average cost of that one share plus 5%.
Just to add , no shareholder will ever own the shares bought as part of the tender offer, they will only receive the monies from the sale of these shares.
Schoolboy error mixing £ and $ but that equates to just over $39m leaving the remaining 3m to cover the 5%.
You will always have your original holding as you’ve only waived the right to the divi for so many shares nothing more.
