Weak argument or not we still left pokerchips. So please give it a rest. White flag my ar5e.
"In the US they litigate on anything and everything "
We actually do in the UK..it is just done through various degrees of court level
The Mail Online gives an idea of the scale of things than end up in the court !!
The courts backlog is arguably longer than the health service waiting list
Bertram
I am afraid you have put across such a weak argument that you have had no alternative but to hoist the white flag of defeat against a stronger Aus3009 counter.
Bertram - blocking people or views you don’t like on a “Public” board, in my opinion speaks volumes about the blocker.
I have a despicable stalker called NDN on this board who thinks he is entitled to invade my personal information & then try to intimidate me with it to stop be expressing opinions, I haven’t even blocked him because I stick to the values I would preach.
Its the weekend, do you or anyone else have news or updates ?
I think you opened the subject of Brexit, I can only assume you want to see Brexit supporting posts in the future? & I’m really not sure how any of that makes me a dictator?.
You might not agree. You might not like truth (80 majority, 3 leave campaigns selling different versions) but at least they are verifiably true, as opposed to the nonsense just posted by others, which is verifiably untrue.
Block unblock do as you please, I care very little either way. But if you think a Brexit disaster doesn’t impact your investments, you might choose to find actual reality to prove it doesn’t / hasn’t, this would include how investors see the uk, its standing & influence. the resulting political madness & corruption, along with any verifiable advantages Uk business & citizens now have, because of brexit?
Aus You are sounding more and more like a dictator. I don`t wish to filter you but you are ruining the BB. There is no chance of changing a thing posting here like you are so please give it a rest.
Cookoo you are are. 4th largest because of “services”. The one part of our economy relatively untouched by Brexit loons.
So thanks very much for confirming my point. I can tell you read the daily express & can see you have issues. So in the interest of fairness, I’d also like to help you out. Services are uniquely difficult to measure, it could be counting inter-actions as meaningless as a single visit to a single website.
So makes a perfect option to fool un-thinking people desperate for a brexit win.
I think I’ve already explained why it was an abomination of democracy ‘ I’ve already explained Brexit loons have had an 80 seat majority (which makes claims of remainders getting in the way pretty dumb). So why don’t you think about those, get someone to help you with the counting big to understand an 80 seat majority is more.
The thing I haven’t told you yet is, we still haven’t seen all the border checks and other little costly things that come with a Brexit. Those same Brexit loons are still begging the EU for more time, trying to avoid the impacts of their lies
Cookoo - I mean this seriously - are you okay? I wonder if there would be benefit in you seeking assessment from a mental health professional.
"brexit is a failure, everyone is worse off," uk in latest reports was the forth largest exporter didnt here that on the bbc did i , it has only been the massive lack of respect of the meaning of democracy and the block by the remainers on any policy ,due to sour grapes ,also the lack of back bone puppet[ may ]put in place by the establishment to do there bidding ,there was going to be 800,00 loss of jobs ,fall off a cliff ,and taking the pi55 about a big red bus quoteing 350 mill for the nhs, the nhs is now getting 750 mill more per week , SO GET OVER IT YOU TREASONOUS WINGEING COMMI
I’m
Not reading any Brexit comments, as soon as I get the gist it’s that, I skip.
i really do struggle to understand how delusional and dishonest leave voters are.
fleccy is still under the impression it’s not his fault when he voted for russian propaganda, lies, misinformation and chaos. instead it’s 2/3 of the political class….
i’m not sure how dim he is, i’ve already explained to him johnson had an 80+ majority of brexit loons in his government
brexit is a failure, everyone is worse off, the uk will continue to decline in almost every way because if it. it was a con, any decent citizen would have withdrawn their support soon as it became obvious what it really was. itv was a democratic, decisive abomination of our system of government, attack on our freedoms, a way to weaken the eu for putin. if new paper headlines like “enemies of the people “. directed at judges didn’t awake you there’s really no hope. i’m pretty sure your children and grand children will continue to pay the price, as are you now with uk share investments.
£100 invested in markets i 2016 = £117 return, the us £268 & france / germany £180-£190
voting leave made the uk a basket case. we have all the corruption all the dishonesty and incompetence which led the leave campaign in power. it’s not going well. they want you to believe it’s people on little boats, rather than their choices and incompetence. i know why i the nhs is failing, it’s the same reason transport, economics, trade, fishing, farming etc etc are also in a state. it’s because brexit was lunacy a campaign of three campaigns all selling a different version because there never was a single deliverable version. vote leave, beleave and leave.eu for the real ******s to get involved. & the you guys are still calling it a democratic vote……. u believable. mind you, it proves how badly it’s going, otherwise you would be asking me to be thankful for the sunny uplands
Well said Fleccy, the fact we left, meant we lost all our status and benefits and veto powers, that had been built up. Re-entering now would put us to the bottom of the pack as a new member.
The only reason Brexit is being discussed again, is because Starmer was a vocal remainer and the Remoaner cult think the Labour party will somehow take us back into the EU, which is total fantasy; No UK political party is going to turn that stone over again, they simply wouldn't dare because of the turmoil it will cause.
I've been disillusioned with the Labour party since Brown screwed up Final Salary pensions and I think the Conservatives are all for lining their mates pockets, so I wont be voting for either of them at the next general election. I wont vote for Lib Dems because I didn't like their policies around Brexit and their part in trying to derail it. Once the decision was made to exit the EU, the whole of the political class should have rallied behind the decision and helped the UK Government to get a good deal. The EU made a big deal over the solidarity of the member states in supporting Barnier in his negotiating strategy, whereas two thirds of the UK political class tried to destroy the UK negotiating position.
Most likely a major share holder could have been made aware of what’s happening to the dividend and what their thoughts were about keeping it the same or cutting the dividend possibly in half or worse.
At worst I think the dividend will stay as it is. If it’s cut then Allison Kirkby will look a complete bell end because she was part of board that that reduced the divvy then said “from now on the dividend will be progressive”. All that and old Drahi isn’t in the humour for reducing his incomings or Deutsche Telekom for that matter!….just an opinion 🤷♂️
Bertram, I’m not surprised you still hold on to this nonsense to help with the shame of Brexit.
I’ve already explained why 3 separate campaigns each offering different brexits is an abomination of democracy.
I still see good old Russian tropes about “establishment “ & “elites”. When did you see these terms used in British discourse, before being fed by Russian propaganda?
Johnson purged the Conservative Party of almost every competent operator and recruited Brexit loons. Pretend Russian propaganda about establishments didn’t slow down Brexit delivery, Johnson has a more than 80 MP (all Brexit loons) majority.
You might want to take look at how uk fishing is going outside the EU. In fact could ask same question about almost any industry, could consider stock exchange. Obviously the facts are uk owned fishing companies SOLD their fishing rights to make a quick buck.
As for COVID - happy to address why Brexit loons corrupted the system for multi million pound contracts for PPE rather than actually acquiring PPR. £30+billion on track and trace that failed I can go on on on regarding Brexit corruption and incompetence.
By almost any measure UK will continue to fall behind all the other nations who also had Covid……..
So turns out it wasn’t democratic, turns out there is no such thing as an establishment or elite trying to stop a pretend Brexit, sponsored by Russian propaganda. Neither is there a comparison with other countries to hide behind
Aus, last post from me to you about BREXIT.
The whole establishment Said "STAY", industry, the BBC, MSM, most politicians, Bercow, they even enlisted the help of the president of the USA Obama. ( Back of list )And still the British people said LEAVE. LEAVE Aus. So please don`t mention decency & honesty.
Decency would have been to accept the democratic will of the British people but no. The establishment then undermined the negotiations by constantly undermining our negotiators. What country in the world has to give up fishing grounds so it can have a deal with rotten EU? You also blame the UK`s problems on Brexit, nothing to do with a world wide pandemic -covid. Or a bad war in Ukraine? Like other remainers you cherry pick your facts just like the 2016 MSM and government did. It took an election to finally get rid of remaining undemocratic MP`s and get Brexit DONE.
So accept it Aus, stop the bitterness of last eight years and move on, I am and will not post to you again about Brexit. This is the BT board and not a place to vent Brexit bitterness.
Everyone said the dividend would be held or slight cut.
There is a forecast showing the dividend being slightly shaved to 7.5p , by one of the big boys . Another shows the dividend being halved.
Is it really possible? I really want it maintained
Bertram.
Please look up advisory referendum & that Uk doesn’t allow for binding referendums. Many voted on that basis to protest.
Please also look up vote leave. Leave.eu & Bleave campaigns campaigning for three different forms of Brexit collecting all these votes into a binary choice. Would love to hear how you think that’s democratic
Then of course Russian money, interference, illegal money and use of campaign funds & Cambridge Analytica
Id like to point out it’s you who stated your ridiculous notion of misrepresented democracy. A ridiculous notion of winner take all, otherwise known as a majority tyranny.
Democracy relies on a degree of decency & honesty. The leave campaign destroyed all resemblance & pretence of these things in the UK. A disgusting, ridiculously pathetic, dishonest, grotesque abomination of a democratic process.
Talking about Brexit .. boring
Gentlemen, please look up DEMOCRACY and MAJORITY in a dictionary. Then please STFU about Brexit. Its done.
Savage, if that’s your view are you sure that investing in equities is the best place for your money ?
Come the revolution you’ll lose it all!
No Aus not missing anything I didn’t dispute that Brexit has caused its share of problems merely that it’s overly simplistic to think all UK problems started in 2016.
The stuff I listed has been acknowledged by economists and other interested parties for years as contributing to the undervaluations on the UK market endless news articles and academic musings are online you don’t need to look very hard.
It may suit your argument to say it’s all down to Brexit but the slippery slope started years before that and Brexit merely made things worse.
Fleccy
Barnier 1 Johnson 0 .... Johnson with few shots on target !!
Fleccy
The likes of Boris Johnson, David Frost, Dominic Raab were all so arrogant and thought the EU would bend over and negotiations would be a push over ... Boris for one thought the EU would easily give in to what he wanted ..
One by one they fell like flies , as it became plainly obvious that they had woefully under estimated who and what they were up against
To suggest it was down to some treacherous groups acting to making them weak ..is...in my opinion...with little merit
I'd suggest these various anti Brexit players weakened the Government so much, they strengthened the hand of the EU negotiating team to ensure we got a bad deal, quite treacherous in my opinion.
with respect Fleccy...I have to say that I feel that is one of the most ridiculous suggestions I have read on the subject
"weakened the Govt so much" .... holy moses ....
