I guess the good news is that doctors have decided to restart the chemotherapy from today. But with a reduced dose. Just two 3 week cycles to go! Can't wait.
The bad news is that the side effects, particularly concerning my feet, have not eased at all despite the two week break. There is a small risk that the nerve damage could be permanent. Obviously I hope not!
More good news. Today I completed a 20 mile bike ride on the folding bike with no additional soreness or fatigue. Nothing compared to what I used to do, but a very large step in terms of rehab!
Sorry for o/t. Some have kindly shown interest in my health so I hope folks don't mind me posting this info.
Regards. Pdub.
I can't do 20 miles on the bike! I'm sure the side-effects will Be temporary stay positive .
Pdub, I’m really glad all is going to plan apart from the feet and hopefully they’ll sort themselves out, fingers crossed.
All the best,
J
Odin, really happy that you are on your final few treatments and going in the right direction. Hopefully, soon you will be back to your best and enjoying your guitar playing once more free from pain. Thank you for your post of support earlier btw. Much appreciated.
Omg, sorry for the typo Pdub, predictive text has not served me well today. Appropriate that your name Changes to Odin tho with your warrior spirit. Lol
Nice one! Keep it up! and post what you want whenever you want.
Great news Pdub, really glad to hear things are going well. Thankfully your medication is more effective than Yinyang's.
Nice one, Pdub! Hope the feet improve soon.
There will be a lot of people interested Pdub, thanks for the update, good luck.
Good on you Pdub. Unfortunately the neuropathy is a potential legacy of indeterminable time span as l know from Liz. Keep your pecker up.
Thanks knuttie. I am more concerned about that than a possible return of cancer. One day at a time though. My best wishes to Liz. I take my inspiration from all those that have dealt with this disease.
Kind regards. Pdub.
Pdub, Our thoughts are completely with you my friend. You are going through a really tough time and chemo is really horrible as you know well I have seen this first hand as have many others. You have been incredibly strong and your support on this board and the posts which you put together day by day are so appreciated. Your robust defence of something you truly believe in is rightly appreciated and anyone in your position and any other investor on this board are all supporting one another with news, updates, new information and excellent research. My Claire had another scan yesterday, so we hope she is completely clear. Tomorrow we get the news. Always nervous times.
Keep strong and keep posting what you believe!
Cheers RK
That's very kind RK. My thoughts are with you. Can be a bit nerve-racking waiting those results. Hope the news is good for you and that you will let us know.
The community spirit and support on this bb is so important. Clearly some posters simply don't get it, but I have been truly touched by the generosity of spirit of contributors to the BMN bb.
Kind regards. Pdub.b
Im sorry Pdub that I didnt respond earlier but got a bit carried away with that YY character ...
Instead of trying in vain to show him the true value of BMN and the Vanadium market, I should have been wishing you all the best with your ongoing treatment.
I have learnt, and continue to benefit from, your well informed timely and passionate contributions.
Keep posting "like a good-un" as my dad is fond of saying.
That's kind VV.
I only posted as many here showed interest in my welfare (a community sprit that our troll simply wouldn't understand). Didnt expect responses and don't want to clog the bb with my issues.
Would like the focus to remain on this great company BMN.
Regards. Pdub.
Pdub
All are interested and concerned that you, one of our stoutest defenders against Trolls-and Knuttie is very stout-should regain health. Hurrah for Medics! No apology for post needed -just see how many rec you got!
Bit worried by the reference to cycling, but I guess you ain't no relative to Capa!
KN
Absolutely interested in your progress Pdub, pleased to hear they are proceeding once more. As for the nerves, unfortunately as I am sure you already know this is a common side effect. A colleague of mine had the same issue in his fingertips and was told unfortunately once it occurs it is often permanent, but not always.
Keep on the bright side though as I know you always do. Looking forward to a future beer.
Please excuse me this off subject, but I just wanted to share with those who have been following our situation with my Claire, that we had amazing news today, after her huge operation to remove the esophagus back in February due to large cancerous tumor. She had a CT scan on Tuesday and we know that the cancer is completely gone after seeing the surgeon today! This is such a blessing to us both and it is truly remarkable. Many thanks to all of you for your kindness and thoughts through this difficult time. She has a long way to go to be completely fit but it is such a weight off our minds!
Our thoughts of course with remain with our good friend here Pdub, and also the continued improvement for Knutties wife too!
Have a great evening all! Cheers, RK
Great news Richken. You both must be walking on air right now. Really happy for you both
Great news RK, you are a true gent and deserve all the good that comes your way!
Simply the best news RK. Absolutely brilliant.
I know only too well that feeling waiting for the results of a post surgery scan. So pleased for you both. Made me so happy hearing that news. Can't find right words but enjoy what I hope is a wonderful evening for you both.
Kind regards. Paul.
Congratulations to you both hopefully can have nice break to celebrate
