Hi. Our journey suggests to me that nothing can be ruled out, in terms of agreements behind closed doors.
I don't agree that Kurt hasn't left any stone unturned though. For my liking, the questions he has asked Baylan have not been pointed enough. More of a reminder of what we are about, how important the project is, etc. Not battering him into submission has left us where we are. It's only my opinion, but Kurt hasn't followed up on the general or stock answers that Baylan has given for the continual delay. At no time then, has Baylan been truly put under any pressure to perform in his role and ensure that the application process has become effective and fair. We still don't have any idea at all as to when a decision will come, and this I feel is because we haven't constantly demanded one. So Baylan is obviously in clover. Lol.
Sooz, before we know it, it'll be five years since the MI approved our application. Kurt is up against a political mutation, and he must find a way to bypass it. You mention the law, yes, precisely. He can go back to Baylan and keep reminding him that our application would stand up in court. It is faultless.
You can tell I'm so very frustrated, but there's always more that can be done. Kurt can do more. He must, because the damage here, as a direct result of this concesssion situation, is evident and ongoing.
Only my view.
I'm sorry...I haven't been following your other stuff.
Conspiracy theories aside, Covid-19 has put tremendous pressure on governments all over the world and that can't be denied it maybe the excuse but it's also a reality.
Can it operate that way...secrete agreements with coalition parties? Eric is right, our application is part of a legal process and not in any way comparable with Arlanda airport except that the MP are also against mines. I'm depending on the KU to highlight our plight which also concerns the future of Sweden's mining industsry...and the Government know they have to hear them. Personally, I think the Boss has left no stone unturned and sitting on the steps outside the Riksdag is about all he hasn't done, kicking the door down just wont achieve anything. People handle situations in different ways; personally I prefer to support the company, they deserve it imo.
Yes, fair comment. I totally agree, it can't be ruled out. The greenies not willing to support a new green operation, one beneficial to communities who need jobs and would thrive because of the project, that is the unbelievable and sad thing. Extremists that don't want change no matter what, even though the environment would not be directly impacted and their countrymen would prosper, that kind of mindset seems bloody selfish to me. In fact it makes me quite angry. Lol.
Cheers Andy.
The comparison isn't between an airport and a mine, but the comparison is between the two statuses; we now know that there's been a hidden agreement within the Government surrounding a project that the greenies don't want (the airport), so is it so farfetched to think there's another hidden agreement on another project that the greenies don't want..? Especially after hearing nothing for months and months?
But there shouldn't really be a comparison made with Arlanda Andy, because Kal is an environmentally friendly and safe operation. We won't be jettisoning fuel out everywhere.
Nice try. Lol.
Thanks Andy.
No, we won't wait that long though. We can't!
... on Kallak, as they do on Arlanda airport (the greenies, of course, don't want to se an expansion on any airport in Sweden):
"The game behind the government's hidden agreement on Arlanda"
"A source with insight into the negotiations tells the newspaper that S and MP have agreed to "make no decision" on the issue of the airport."
https://www.dn.se/nyheter/sverige/spelet-bakom-regeringens-dolda-uppgorelse-om-arlanda/
If so, we'll have to wait until after the next election, autumn of 2022.
....mistreating us and mishandling our application.
Forgot to add, in my opinion only.
Hi Sooz. You are right about it being only money, but I've lost so much already elsewhere through holding on, and this is going further away from my 13.5p average. That's a lot of ground to make up, and there's a chance it might not happen the longer we are in this situation. I want Kurt to press, do whatever it takes, to remove the political barrier that is preventing us from receiving the decision. To be decided according to law our case, so he must find a way to demand that the Swedish Government upholds the law and now! We have already suffered immeasurably as a direct result of the authorities mistreating and mishandling our application.
Though it could be worse, we could be deer. x
If I decided to sell my holding tomorrow you'd be in an even worse place.
Hey Aug,
You've made a really good point - I'm part of a programme seeing through a £45 million building programme in NW London and it's taken a decade with planning consents, conservation officers etc etc and we've gone through 3 project leaders who have given up after banging their heads...I hadn't thought about Kurt having the va va zoom simply sucked out of him...Clive couldn't see this through and you've raised a massive point - when will he simply give up?
I'm not sure how he reassures investors that he still has the get up and go as the process must have seriously drained the poor man...however, who would have the resilience to face Swedish bureaucracy...I would understand giving this up as most would...
I wouldn’t worry Alamal... it’s just a bit of fun apparently...
Because courtesy has achieved what? Some have more invested than others... it shouldn’t be reduced to being a ‘housewives favourite’. It’s not the Grand National... To most investors, this isn’t fun, or a laugh, or enjoyable... it’s become a nightmare. So keep spouting nonsense by all means, but we are not in a good place.
Yes, you are...missing something, courtesy costs nothing.
Hi there Pocko ,I think I’m going to add a codicil to my will asking that the share certificate be buried with me ,
7-years and 3-months... and posters on this board are offering platitudes. “It’s only money” ffs...
At 4p, not saying ‘no’ has hardly been beneficial to shareholders, or am I completely missing something?
What is the incentive for Kurt to push for a decision when He is on 100k a year?
And I imagine any expenses while abroad are paid by the company rather than out of his pocket.
Sadly, this is looking more and more like a jolly up all the time.
It wouldn't be the first time on AIM.
Last winter they were too hot and they didn't have enough chips ...simple solution seems to me to move up north a bit, the climate around Jokkmokk gets more and more difficult for as each year passes and they're always in trouble for some reason. Eric, don't do that, it's only money. I'm sure the Boss knows that Mr Baylan has got nothing to do with this decision, it's all politics and they're up to some sort of balancing act I expect; hope so anyway...could be totally wrong but they haven't said No, which is a strong point in our favour so far.
I'm more likely to shoot myself if this malaise continues.
That is awful Sooz, but more can be done here, for us. Unless Kurt is working right now on tying up a deal with LKAB, and that's why we really aren't going to be drilling, then he needs to find a different way to resolve our current limbo situation. He has been polite, fair enough that, but also too lenient I would say, and it has not brought us a decision. Baylan does not see us as posing any sort of threat to upsetting his dreamy little applecart, insofar as our taking a different course of action to force him into accepting the responsibility for and taking the necessary steps required for bringing about the conclusion of our case.
Many if not most of us shareholders have had enough Sooz. Kurt can tell us more and is failing to do so. I need to know that he isn't just going to sit and watch the sp slide and then raise money.
Now there's a thought Suzy. Why don't we club together and get some hunters to shoot all the reindeer. Problem solved.
In fact why stop there. Shoot all the Sami as well
. Lol
