RE: RNS
Morning. lbjj, don’t be too depressed, this Government is running out of places to hide (logical). The Greens are looking like toast, and the Sweden democrats are on the march, that means some change to existing policies forwarded by other coalition partners, who will be looking at their options. Moreover, both Kosovo and Finland are not dusters, and BEM’s timing was good, which suggests KB has good contacts. That’s fundamental. The above is in the name of balance, you understand. atb
Thoroughly depressing old news.
My you're a piece of work aren't you dog.
Not sure what I've done to upset you having only posted 2 of the last 100 posts, both innocuous and neither ramping.
I presume you are another reincarnation of happy sparrow or rf68 on the VOG BOARD.
HOW SAD
....in cash and cash equivalents.
On 31 March 2020 we had £789,310 in cash or cash equivalents. The info is in this RNS of 29 May 2020:
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/BEM/unaudited-financial-results-452f7ytulu3hklw.html
Xophe, I think the long-term shareholders not selling are what may be keeping the share price from plummeting.
As for funds, it's a difficult one to answer. I recommend checking the financial results RNS news, but nobody surely knows how much we have left in the kitty at this exact moment in time, or when the next fundraise will be.
The next results RNS will tell us more.
Best regards.
I've been invested in this for quite a few years now, although a modest holding. Just wondering what is stopping this share price from dropping to 2p or 1p etc based on the fact that the Kallak decision has been going on for so long and we have no idea when it might be given or indeed whether it will be a positive decision or not.
Also, does anyone know how much cash we have left and how long it is likely to last before the next fund raiser?
Morning. Oaktree, yes, I thought it worthy of some consideration. Obviously, I wasn’t suggestion that KB could need counselling as result of his day job. However, when one conducts themselves in a professional manner, heavily focused for years on a single project, and is responsible for the targeting of $millions, to unlock $billions, they will run head-on into big politics! After all, he is dealing with politicians. Being mindful of what one say and do 24/7 almost, so not to suffer any commercial consequences will take its measure on anyone in that position. So my point was, I do hope/expect that KB maintains spirit, so not to entertain compromise, in any attempt to get this over the line, and that he should stay focused to execute on ideals, in any discussions that he may have with whoever, regarding whatever! Naturally, I want BEM to be awarded the concession asap however, we need to be in a position to exploit Kallak to full value. Having just listened to the podcast and heard the “I’m a boots on the ground guy”, suggests to me that he has maintained his spirit. Imo only.
AndyDuFresne – thank you for the information! Do you think that KB will become an asset to Swedish mining, and become a positive partner to the locals, you wise investor? Lol. atb
Thanks Andy. Good luck with the interviewer trying to get Baylan on. Lol.
LSE changed my "thumbs up" emoji into 2 question marks, I wasn't questioning anything
I was hoping to God he would say Baylan! Quality! Top man Kurt ??
Nope, sounded good - also nice to hear the man for an hour, not a few minute short snippet.
Thanks for that Andy.Sounds like he is not giving up just yet.lol.
You are right about Covid. It has stopped all the clocks, though I would say that within the walls of the Swedish Government, there are no clocks. Lol.
Night. x
Nighty night, Eric. x
PS It's not quite tomorrow yet is it. :-)
Sooz, please don't do that. Keep it open.
:-)
I'll keep my mouth shut...unless we get some very good news...some nice buys today. :-)
On we go.
3card........That's going to be the way, I'm sure and it's early days yet Sweden might not get off as lightly as they think.
All buys today they must be expecting a miracle ,hey ho ,
Suzy re covid19 effect.
True covid has had a major impact on economies across the world. But for me that only serves to highlight the need to find new ways of re-booting Sweden's economy. What a pity the Swedes themselves don't see it that way.
Sooz, maybe my use of the word 'pointed' is incorrect. He has been scathing, yes, and his frustrations are clear, particularly in the last letter, but I should perhaps have said he hasn't been 'demanding' enough. I know it's difficult, because there is a fine balance between that and sounding threatening, but he can mention fairness and emphasise that politics must not be involved in the decision, yet that it has been. That the waiting without timescale in a business sense is wholly unacceptable. That the behaviour of the various authorities towards a private investor has been contemptible. Baylan knows of our February meeting to discuss the legal action possibility, yet we've had no further indication of a decision coming in spite of him knowing this. That the Government is leaving the Company little option but to consider legal action again, in order to protect the interests of shareholders.
Kurt should, in my view, be demanding a date for conclusion of this matter. Using all of the stacked evidence (and he can mention our ANI being in place well before the Sami one), but such evidence to highlight how unjustly we have been treated. How our application continues to be mishandled. He can also indicate that the UN information wholly supports the award of a concession.
He can increase the pressure to get this decision delivered. The law is not unclear Sooz, unless it is made so for the benefit of certain parties.
In my humble. x
Of course, you probably feel that I'm wrong, lol, but clearly enough hasn't been done and we continue to wait without any even loose timeline for a decision arriving. What happened to our supposed application being prioritised? Fifteen months ago now. That was nonsense, but it's something else Kurt can use.
Oh blow! Lol. x
The second ANI from the Sami Parliament was clearly a stitch up and we couldn't see how it could have been allowed but it was. It can't annul the first ANI from the SGU but it did change the situation from the first time the CAB considered the application and they were put in a position of agreeing to it in accordance with the legal requirements. That was a clear conspiracy to change the circumstances from what they were originally to something more favourable to reindeer.
My reading of the letters to Baylan is different, how much more pointed can you get than the last letter? And he's publicly called the government hypocritical. If this went to law the Government could forget it...it wouldn't put them under any pressure at all....and Maria Suner Fleming has also said the law is unclear and uncertain which is one of the issues the Riksdag are supposed to be dealing with.
Eric...It makes a lot of people angry and the more they hear about it the more angry they will get. And we've got friends supporting us in the Riksdag. It isn't that unusual for big projects to take ten years, Oaktree gives an example. Look at it as ten years achieved. I daren't do :-) I'll get beaten up again. Lol.
