That is awful Sooz, but more can be done here, for us. Unless Kurt is working right now on tying up a deal with LKAB, and that's why we really aren't going to be drilling, then he needs to find a different way to resolve our current limbo situation. He has been polite, fair enough that, but also too lenient I would say, and it has not brought us a decision. Baylan does not see us as posing any sort of threat to upsetting his dreamy little applecart, insofar as our taking a different course of action to force him into accepting the responsibility for and taking the necessary steps required for bringing about the conclusion of our case.
Many if not most of us shareholders have had enough Sooz. Kurt can tell us more and is failing to do so. I need to know that he isn't just going to sit and watch the sp slide and then raise money.
Now there's a thought Suzy. Why don't we club together and get some hunters to shoot all the reindeer. Problem solved.
In fact why stop there. Shoot all the Sami as well
. Lol
Just reading that the reindeer calves this spring had a bad time just like we did and died from cold; nature, all tooth and claw:
https://sverigesradio.se/artikel/7517607
This is not looking good. Kurt definitely needs to do something asap!
Like many (I think) on this forum, even I am beginning to lose patience with this ridiculous, and possibly disastrous, situation. As always, I have been reading the comments on here. Take note Suzy!
Hasty, him renewing his Options and then us finding out we aren't drilling was a double whammy. Lol.
We need good news next. I know we've saved money by not drilling (unless it was all EU project cash), but we could have got cracking on KS and it may have shaken things up. No doubt given the saboteurs something to do as well. Aye, a spot of drill rig climbing, before the ultimate police drag off!
Roller, I agree, that is poor. There must be something to tell us. We decided not to take legal action back in February, five months ago, a significant decision, yet we've not had a meaningful update regarding the state of play at Kal since. I'd like to know if Kurt has just resigned himself to waiting, with the odd letter to Baylan telling him what he already knows, or whether he is actually pressing Baylan each week to bring us this decision.
I'm sure Kurt has every right to demand to know exactly what the problem with our case is, specifics behind the ridiculous delay, so why isn't he telling shareholders what he is or isn't doing to rectify our situation, with the reasons for that.
Surely something has happened in the last five months that he could share with us? If Baylan has done nothing more since, to to enable a decision to be brought, and perhaps not even had the courtesy to respond to Kurt's letter of 2 June, then I feel we should be informed as to what the plan is next for us.
Waiting indefinitely and doing nothing except writing to Baylan now and then, but not putting him to the sword with incisive questioning, well, that blows.
We'll probably hear from Kurt getting his funding cap out before any news on Kallak. 5 years of dithering and, judging on the options RNS, putting his interests first.
Last week on Beowulf's Facebook page I asked why aren't we getting updates...the reply was. The company will make announcements when we have something to say.. unbelievable..
Specifics Kurt. A general "A decision is in the process of being prepared" is rubbish and another fob off. It has been used in similar terms so often and has only ever meant nothing. What happened to our application supposedly being prioritised? It is now fifteen months later and we've heard bugger all. Specifically why hasn't the decision yet been prepared? Who exactly is tasked with preparing it and what the hell have they been doing? When will it be forthcoming? Demand a timescale. We've been waiting seven years and three months for this decision!
Wake up!
Come on Kurt, surely it's well beyond time now to demand an answer from Baylan as to why we are still waiting for this decision on our application. Constantly being fobbed off by him with generalities is not acceptable, and yet that's precisely what he's done. You must put a stop to it. The longer we remain non-operational the further our investment here weakens.
Get after him, please!
Morning. Suzy2, yes, I’m sure that KB will stay sharp, and I do hope, uncompromising in some important areas. atb
GO LEGAL!!!!!
Aug, if Kurt has been whacked but remains fully functional and just as focused, then that is all we need. If he isn't as determined as he once was to bring home the Kallak prize, because he's had a hard slog, poor lamb, then he shouldn't be representing us.
We long-term holders have had it tougher. Ten bloody years or so, Kurt has had to endure the Swedish chicanery for only half that time.
So he should be ok!
Afternoon to ye! Lol.
Hello Aug. Shivver me timbers! I'm trusting the other projects will keep him interested, sharpened up and on his toes..until we get our day in the Sun. atb
Afternoon. Suzy2, it’s been coming together for a long time lol. A little concern for me is, if we are granted the concession, I’m hoping that KB isn’t now whacked, so the award, and all that may bring puts BEM in a position to exploit Kallak to its full potential, for the benefit of those only, who paid up-front for the risk/reward. I mean, there is no suggestion that KB’s drive, goals, integrity etc, isn’t intact, however, years of dealing with those who appear to be uncompromising on some unknown to us, must have taken its toll. So, I am hoping that any feeling of resignation doesn’t now creep in, to those representing our interest (we know, what I am talking of here). Imo only. atb
I've got a feeling that things are coming together. :-)
Thanks Eric. The following quote out of the cut and paste from the new Rural Affairs Minister puts a positive slant I think on 'complex issues'. I think she's got a reputation for being nice, reasonable and intelligent and she's S not MP. So fingers crossed.
" These are very complex issues with many dimensions to consider. It is therefore important for the government that participation and openness characterize the entire process, factual advice and meetings are part of it, says Minister of Rural Affairs Jennie Nilsson.
The meetings will be held in the autumn. The invitation and final documentation for the meetings will be presented on the government's website"
Not unlike British Common Law-not enshrined in Statute but as a result of custom and usage. Can't see the Russians following suit.
I love that Sooz. x
Yes, in all fairness everyone could live happily together, how green is that...love infinitely circular. :-)
So hunting and fishing rights then. Not a mining fight in Girjas.
We do have our Kallak ANI in place, prior to any other, which should protect our interests. In all fairness.
If only. Lol.
Sooz, here's a link to news around that time of the Girjas ruling. Some may not know what the ruling is:
https://www.highnorthnews.com/en/girjas-sami-village-won-swedish-supreme-court-case-may-have-consequences-other-countries
One feels the word regeringen may have been misspelt and should be rogering, which is what the Regeringen is doing to BEM.
Not sure what to make of it really. Lol.
I can view that cut and paste post now. Thanks Sooz.
Not sure what is going on with these missing posts. Groan.
