Sooz, here's a link to news around that time of the Girjas ruling. Some may not know what the ruling is:

One feels the word regeringen may have been misspelt and should be rogering, which is what the Regeringen is doing to BEM.
Not sure what to make of it really. Lol.
I can view that cut and paste post now. Thanks Sooz.
Not sure what is going on with these missing posts. Groan.
Lol. See the word "Regeringen", blackout for a second until that naughty word is forgotten, then carry on as normal.
:-)
Eric...look again in Another try. ;-)
No, I've not seen the cut and paste Sooz. I'm not sure all the posts are appearing.
Eric....did you see the cut and paste...in another try?
Don't blame them...anything with regeringen in it is a turn off. Lol.
Ok Sooz. Thanks.
Nobody else mentioned it. Lol.
Here's a cut and paste:
An inquiry will be appointed for a review of reindeer husbandry legislation
published July 23, 2020
The reindeer husbandry legislation dates from 1971 and needs to be adapted to the current social structure and the Supreme Court's ruling in the Girjas case. In light of this, the government will appoint an inquiry to review reindeer husbandry legislation.
The Supreme Court's ruling of 23 January this year in the Girjas case made it clear that the Reindeer Husbandry Act of 1971 needs to be reviewed and adapted to the current social structure. The government has therefore decided that an inquiry will be appointed to review reindeer husbandry legislation.
- It is very gratifying that we are taking steps forward and that an inquiry will be appointed to adapt the legislation to the current structure of society and to the Supreme Court's ruling in the Girjas case, says Minister of Rural Affairs Jennie Nilsson.
Directives and exact forms for the investigation have not been determined but will be formulated during the autumn. The Government will convene relevant actors to expert councils and meetings to discuss the review of reindeer husbandry legislation prior to the development of the Investigation Directive.
- These are very complex issues with many dimensions to consider. It is therefore important for the government that participation and openness characterize the entire process, factual advice and meetings are part of it, says Minister of Rural Affairs Jennie Nilsson.
The meetings will be held in the autumn. The invitation and final documentation for the meetings will be presented on the government's website.
There shouldn't be any asterisks between rennaring**** and stiftningen ?

Sorry Eric, I should have checked that, you're right it isn't working...I'll get back to you.
Sooz, I'm not sure why Kurt couldn't use some of the UN info to make the situation simpler.
Your link earlier opened on my diddy phone but the page was completely blank. Is the link ok or is it that I have a tiny screen?
Aug, we've not had a meaningful update on our application state of play since February, when we decided not to take legal action. I feel we are due one, and it would be good to know also if Baylan bothered to respond to Kurt's letter of 2 June.
Even MW has had enough, which is a pity, but regular updates on Kal would help to retain interest, and perhaps keep hold of more shareholders. Particularly as our situation is serious enough to have warranted the February meeting to discuss the possibility of taking legal action.
An update is more of a necessity now, in my opinion. All things previous considered.
Thanks Eric..that UN page is a a very good read, certainly took me in first time I read it. Lol. Only joking, I'm staying in for as long as it takes.
Sorry that you've had enough. I can't blame you.
Be good out there and best of luck with your other investments.
Might see you back soon.
Cheers MW.
Note the part about the exploitation having to be granted if there is a probable economic case.
Here's the UN page link:
https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/content/documents/dsd/dsd_aofw_ni/ni_pdfs/NationalReports/sweden/Mining.pdf
This is still in the sustainable development pdf of the UN:
Exploitation concession
A concession is valid for a definite area, decided on the basis of the extent of the deposit, the purpose of the concession and other circumstances. A concession has to be granted if a mineral deposit has been found which can probably be exploited economically.
The Environmental Code is applicable in matters concerning the granting of a concession, which means, among other things, that an Environmental Impact Assessment has to be contained in an application.
An exploitation concession is granted for a period of 25 years unless the applicant requests a shorter period of time. The concession period is extended by ten years at a time without application if regular exploration is in progress when the period of validity expires. When mining, the holder of an exploitation concession must pay an annual minerals fee to the landowners of the concession area and the state. The fee is 2 parts per thousand (i.e 0.2%) of the average value of the concessions minerals mined, 1.5 part per thousand of which is paid to the landowners to be distributed among them in proportion to their share of the concession area. The remaining 0.5 parts per thousand (0.05%) is paid to the state to be used for research and development in the field of sustainable development of mineral resources.
The greens would disagree with you Suzy and because they don't like it they have taken the ball home so nobody can play!
Come on Kurt get yourself down to Decathlon and buy a ball so we can finish the game!
Objection would be a better word...no environmental objection.
And remember...no environmental issue with our application has ever been disclosed by any competent person.
Personally I feel confident that the Swedish Government will not manage to pass legislation conceding a large part of Sweden to the Sami.
If the law was clear and transparent the issues wouldn't be complex... chapter 3-4 is where the problems lie...what does it mean, cultural values, indirect effects, etc it can mean anything you want it to even how many words there are for snow (and I'm not kidding). According to the laws the Mining Inspector is concerned with in examining applications we fulfill the requirements and the rest is something she's not allowed to judge. It's smoke and mirrors.
