Now be honest, Ibjj...it has you on the edge of your seat.
Now be honest Suzy, those definitions don't really apply here do they, except maybe for the last one but I fail to see how that equates with exciting.
I know BEM has had its moments in the past but ironically that was during Clive's day.
Perhaps Kurt can drop Mr Damberg a line. Lol.
These are a few of the definitions I've found just from one source, Oxford Languages for 'exciting':
thrilling
exhilarating
stirring
rousing
stimulating
intoxicating
electrifying
invigorating
moving
inspiring
gripping
compelling
sensational
powerful
dramatic
shocking
startling
hair-raising
explosive
knife-edge
cliffhanging
mind-blowing
edge-of-the-seat
stem-winding
Opposite:
boring
Anyway...it keeps you interested. ;-)
Hello Eric. Remember when Mr Damberg said "This will be decided by the book"? Well, he was moved and became Minister of the Interior, which includes The Ministry of Justice...must have taken The Book with him . Minister of Justice...now there's a thought..'cos we haven't had any of that from the Minister of Enterprise and Industry. Lol.
Afty aft. x Sooz
Thanks Suzy. Good info.
Suzy, I suspect the the question ended something along the lines of, "I appreciate you are very busy dealing with climate change and the pandemic so I will understand if you can't get back to me until the whole planet has been vaccinated and the polar ice caps have returned to their normal size. Oh and don't worry about Kurt Budge. I've told him UNESCO isn't an issue. TTFN, yours, Bayles xx"
So when Mr Damberg said, "The law is enough"...he was clearly overruled.
And remember that they already gave their opinion more than three years ago...that a mine at Kallak would have no direct effect on the Laponia. We're into 'indirect' effects now...whatever they are.
This is a post from BrainTec on Avanza, just in case you haven't seen it. Many thanks BrainTec:
Feels good that I got an answer, they choose not to answer all my questions, which I can understand. I was also of course interested in an approximate time aspect regarding the case.
Dear Mr -------,
We acknowledge with thanks receipt of your message dated 2 February last, concerning the state of conservation of the World Heritage property 'Laponian Area'. We thank you for forwarding the letter dated 17 December 2020 of Beowulf Mining plc to the Swedish Government regarding the planned Kallak mine project, of which we have already received a copy.
Please note that the state of conservation of the World Heritage property is closely monitored by the State Party, the World Heritage Center and the Advisory Bodies to the World Heritage Committee. Please rest assured that we have transmitted the information received from the State Party of the Kingdom of Sweden as well as third party information, including the above mentioned letter, concerning the planned Kallak mine to the Advisory Bodies for their review and comments.
We thank you for your understanding that we cannot indicate a timeframe. The Technical review of the information and documentation will however be transmitted to the State Party as soon as possible upon receipt by the World Heritage Center.
We thank you for your interest and support in the implementation of the World Heritage Convention.
Yours sincerely,
Stefanie Grüssinger

If UNESCO only reports back to the Government then I'm not sure what's to stop the Government then sitting on the reply. We don't know if a reply has already been received, or indeed, as you say Sooz, what the question was. I feel Kurt could endeavour to find out directly from UNESCO if it has yet to respond, and whether then, we are now back to waiting on the Government only.
It's been a couple of months after all, for what shouldn't be a difficult or time consuming response from UNESCO.
Only my thoughts.
If the letter dated the 17th of December... the original letter will have been vague... wishy washy... ambiguous...
Nobody with any claim to expertise can take an indeterminate amount of time to read an HIA; so how long should UNESCO take to report on their 'findings', bearing in mind we don't know what the question was?
And that is the official unemployment figure. Shocking in itself, but nowhere near the real figure. Since the opening of the land bridge from Denmark, illegal immigrants, asylum seekers et al have flooded across. Having established a bridgehead some years ago, those who wish to ‘disappear’ into an established network of black market activities find it very easy.
There is collusion from the Swedish authorities, who deny their existence.
Kallak has already missed the current up cycle of ore prices, the Swedish SP is at a 3 year low and Budge is AWOL.
This is not ‘exciting’
Great place to conduct business...
From being on the world's top ten list, Sweden is now raging in the Fraser Institute's ranking of attractive mining countries, which was released on Tuesday. In 2016, Sweden was in place 8, 2018 in place 21 and now Sweden ends up in place 36.
- The government's cancer in mining issues can be seen in this result, it is nothing but alarming, says Maria Sunér, CEO Svemin, in a press release.
Maria Sunér is concerned about Sweden's new location.
- The internal locks in the government seem monumental. It is nothing but a disaster for a country with high climate ambitions and a world-leading mining sector, a country that could play a key role in the EU's ambitions to increase the important degree of self-sufficiency in raw materials, says Maria Sunér.
The Fraser Institute is a Canadian institute and the provinces and states of Canada, the United States and Australia top the list.

With 'one trick pony' BEM continued apathy, along with the Swedish governments nonplussed attitude towards the mining sector, it must question investors wisdom here.
All around investors portfolios are gaining on the positive Covid sentiment whilst Beowulf's stagnation continues.
I have never understood the decision to halt the Kallak drilling program, I'm convinced that government pressure was responsible here, whilst continuing their lifeless attitude to their own rulebook.
BEM should resume the introduction of the drilling program asap and vigorously question and pursue any objections. This IMO will further pressure the government's inaction, after all it is still the 'drilling season.'
Figures released this morning -
Swedish unemployment rate increases from 8.2% to 9.3% (UK 5.1%).
It should be lively. One of the agenda issues is listed as: “Timeliness”, “Predictability”, “Flexibility”, and “Stringency”in Impact Assessment and Permitting Processes".
Balyan speaking tomorrow... Yeah sounds about right, does a lot of that, not a lot of listening though - what I call a transmit only merchant!!
Let's hope Svemin and Boliden put the squeeze on him.
Thanks Pocko.
Baylan speaking tomorrow... also the CEO of Boliden who is an outspoken critic of Baylan. I’d love to be a fly on the wall during any private discussions!

80-90% of Beowulf is Kallak thats the pay day im not looking at anything else............ pressure building on Baylan it has to be soon
Thanks for that TSP, you have cheered me up.30 to 40p would be most acceptable but how do you see the long term potential if Kosovo and Finland were to fall into place.Would it be good housekeeping to sell say half if good news comes and hold the rest back for long term potential.Would appreciate your thoughts.Atb.
Morning.. Thank you! Well, if a concession is granted, I think/hope you will be pleasantly surprised! If not, then spending the thick – end of a decade locked into a BS process, where political meddling has been the dominant factor - exposing the company and its investors to further unknown risk, would be something of a contradiction, should that then pass as little more than a non – event, once that risk has been all but removed, and the company’s/Kallak future secured! Of course there will be caveats and more politics, but a concession to mine hundreds of millions of tonnes of high – grade ore, in Sweden today, should get a fair hearing in the market place.. Imo only atb….
TSP - I'd expect closer to 500% on day one if we're starting at 4.3p.
