Emailed Avacta and FTI to ask for a press release to update on intending to test for the variant of concern.
Moderna basically did this Friday and share price jumped 20%. Good marketing strategy, knowing this would happen they had it ready.
Always good to take positive action ;-)
Got this back from FTI
Thank you for your email.

So they didn’t answer the question then. Still, it’s a bit of a breakthrough that you even got a response!
Yes they have ignored my emails in the past. I think they responded because I cc’d Avacta in the email this time.
A major triumph that you actually got a response !
I just want to highlight to them the marketing opportunity as they seem to miss obvious opportunities. Quite a few companies have jumped straight on the variant news with positive spin, as if they had the press release waiting for a new variant which we all knew was inevitable while so much virus is circulating. Other companies have rns their intention to look at the variant with their varies technologies and had SP increase of up to 20%.
And you think they don't know that, Muller?
I do Wyndrum or else they would have released something. Missing a trick.
I actually added the last paragraph responding to a comment Marik made on the chat but his comment seems to have disappeared oddly.
Muller, if you think they knew they should have publicised something about it and didn't... then why do you think they didn't?
Are you saying its just incompetence?
Wyn I would say that is exactly what it is. There have been many missed publicity opportunities In the last 18 months, it shouldn't be PIs prompting the company comms dept.... a strategy should already be in place.
Fair enough Wonga. Personally I find it hard to believe that a company who's got the world's best test available after 18 months of incompetence just carries on being incompetent in publicising it as it burns its way through £2m per month.
Incompetence is a strong word but everyone is prone to missing a trick.
They are rubbish at responding to investor queries. I think they only responded to me as I included Avacta.
We know for instance in government after all the LFT fiasco that the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing.
I like to take action and that is why I emailed them. I don’t really care if my opinion that they didn’t think of it is correct . I feel like I’ve done something positive when I take action and I try to do it in a diplomatic way .
I think the best spin we can put on it is that AVCT don't give a fig for PI's
I think its a conscious decision to keep quiet. I just don't know why.
Perhaps it comes down to their strengths being in science and weakness in business savvy..... or lack of it. Having said that, recent additions to the team should have addressed this
Negative this. Negative that. Quite early on. Sold and now wants back in cheaper for his next trade. Wyn you’re so transparent it’s incredible that you think anyone believes what you’re saying.
Ripley you are so wide of the mark, it's laughable. Are we are back to me influencing the SP again! The absolute drivel you come out with.
You have already come around to writing off meaningful LFT income until we have any proof otherwise. Is that not negative?
Or do you think that that is just a considered, logical conclusion based on the info thus far?
Muller - it’s been made clear several times that the Avacta Affimer attaches itself to the spike protein of all covid-19 mutations and dominant variants, hence the reason it still had same near perfect detection rate for the delta variant - so there’s no logical reason for it not to detect Omicron either.
If you see https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/AVCT/affidx-lateral-flow-test-detects-delta-variant-p09616e51x5fqvk.html
‘AffiDX® antigen lateral flow test detects the Delta variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in clinical samples and, in this small study, outperformed two lateral flow antigen tests that are commercially available in Europe’
Yes appreciate some would like reassuring what’s been said over and over - but avacta are unfortunately not in the business of daily Ramps to temporarily uplift the SP, it’s only factual mileposts and actions that have already happened that get RNS treatment nowadays.
The next RNS next will most likely be HUA and a least a snippet of what Medusa-19 have been doing and will be doing going forward

On 15th November, NCYT was @ £2.20 . Today it hit £4.97 ( reversal)
On 26th November, GDR was 17.5p. Today it hit 42.5p. ( could go to 50p)
Money from NCYT moved to GDR. Now GDR i topping soon.
Where will the money go next? AVCT! Yes, AVCT!
Chart is PRIMED to move higher!
Im increasing my target from £2.04 to £2.85 due to the news out today!
We have a perfect Storm! We had an update on AVA6000, next update is on HUA!
Higher, nobody here cares you clown. As we know here CE is one thing, getting sales is another. It means the sum total of zilch. So take your pump and f@*k off.
@MrR: It's taken you a while but you've finally seen the light and joined the majority who just ignore Wynbore - I know it's him as he's my only filtered poster. If all genuine AVCT LTH's did the same he'd just be a sad twat whining endlessly to himself - nobody to engage or argue with.
I see Iceman has been overdosing on steroids again?
@ rxdav
just posting facts. If these two shi t stocks can do 100% to 150%, why cant AVCT move back to its highs?
They are not exactly ****e stocks if the World is reverting to PCR testing. However, I’m sure that your dire warnings about what the charts show will have them selling up on your say so!
Yes great point MR Adventurous !
And in the very unlikely event this happened Avacta would rapidly produce a new affimer binders within weeks, and supply demand for the affimer reagents quicker and cheaper than any anti body reagents
