Would anyone know if this bond issue would go away soon?
Aquarius Platinum faces $118m bond rethink http://www.miningmx.com/page/news/platinum_group_metals/1647003-Aquarius-Platinum-faces-118m-bond-rethink#.VEZvnPkc58E
Up 10% today - still down huge % on my initial investment, but a move in the right direction. Well done to the topper-uppers at <19p!! - I didn't have the capital or the balls to risk a sell and re-buy.....
i have bought small holding, in AQP and JLP. both are undervalued at moment. I expect JLP to rerate pretty soon as sellers are cleared and then, I could top up more in AQP
Grab the opportunity at this price to top up Platinum being a strategic metal not going to stay v long at this price , it's supply vs demand at present , future of plat holds good and has to go up , imo
I agree with you callmeace. Demand is key to boosting sp. According to IMF, China is well on track at 7% growth.
It's falling because the industrial 'demand' is being controlled from China, along with many other things being controlled from China. Not much in the way of options other than to expect it to rise again, hopefully soon.
The Platinum price has been falling since July from 1500 to currently 1333. Hopefully it will stop at 1300, otherwise it’s in free fall & will continue down. All the company can do is to increase production & sales to try & maintain the sp. The Pro’s might be manipulating the price down before an end of year rally, time will tell.
Can anyone shed any light on why this share has lost 20% of its value last week?
I think you might be on to something there sir!
Ha not Oscar! http://www.kitco.com/charts/popup/pt0060lnb.html
Oscar Pistorius was let off?
below 20p.... not feeling comfortable with this. can anyone shed light on a big drop?
There are a number of factors which make this a good buy in my opinion. Stable workforce, Board investing in the companies future, books tidied up with the last share issue, inching closer to profit, improved production. I believe the next set of figures will reveal considerably more about the direction of the company in terms of profitability... having said that would prefer the platinum prices to be closer to if not over $1500. I'll be checking back around mid October to see what the markets think the figures will be like. As for £'s rather than pence... I personally believe we will be heading in the right direction.
if we look back at the SP of any stock in 2008 and then say the stock will recover to the same level, then we have to consider a range of stocks that have gone from £'s to fractions of pennys!!!
Look back at the share price in May 2008.
what have you been sniffing? 40p would be a start!!!
Two steps forward and one step back! This share has always behaved like a bank. As the world economy recovers and money is less tight it will recover. Taking into account the dilution it has the potential to reach £4 a share. It is not yet out of the woods but it has returned to profit so patience is the word and a safe bet for the future.
Just like share price Who is selling them?
There is a gradual flight to the $ (the exorbitant privilege of the world's commodity currency) as European problems, the cycle of war in the middle east and - above all - USA loan rates firm. However, just as a falling $ benefits raw commodity futures, a firm $ is good for the miners. Aquarius is subject to the SA Rand and local politics but so long as both are reasonably stable, I expect Aquarius SP to rise over the next few years together with improving international economic demand for its valuable metal production..
Figures from the last 1/4 were OK, overall figures for the year were pretty much about what was expected, this wont go anywhere until the market see's positive growth. They had a good tidy up of the finances earlier this year and IMHO the next set of accounts will give us all an indication as to the direction the co is going in. I like the confidence that the board has shown by taking part of their salaries in shares & they should know how well they are doing and the potential. It would be nice to see us back in the £'s rather than the pennies, but I cant see that for at least another year - maybe 2. I'm going to sit on these & wait.
Should we be worry about this? pls any comments
64p? and then the alarm clock rings and it's the end of another dream. Oh well better than the dream you had the night before when you became an Avatar!!!
The average target price for this stock is about 30p....today I read A report from HSBC with a 64p target and strong buy rec. The long term chart would suggest these levels are the bottom so let's see where it goes
