I've been around since the 10p days and bought as & when finances allow. I believe this company has tremendous potential locked up in a few years of bad decisions and a poor trading environment. The FCF forcast is being exceeded, add in some patience and I believe this will once again be a £ 1+ share within the next two years. DYOR but I'm happy with my investment and average price in the £ 0.20's.
I think you hit the nail on the proverbial head... sentiment. The fundamentals are improving slowly and subject to any more negative external and possible internal pressures, I can see this bumping along the late 20's - early 30's range for this year and having a more northward trajectory from 2025 onwards. Rahul has steadied the ship & is keeping largely to his promises. The daily machinations of the share price are really only for the day traders, I'm in this for the long haul and having bought some of my shares at £ 0.09 as a pure gamble, have a reasonably low average price. Enjoy the ride for 2024...
Whoa, cut the guy some slack, we have all made errors of judgement / bad decisions.. He said he would get a farm out, he has... surely we can stop going back in history and start from today. Now all Chevron has to do is find the oil thats down there... simples.
It wasnt a difficult equation, but we arrived at the same conclusion. It would be nice if it came true, but I just cant see it going that far. Anything over £ 0.05 a share and I'd be happy... £ 0.10 and I would consider retirement...£ 1.00 and I would rival Elon on the rich list... OK that last bit may not be true.
After all the failures, false dawns, broken promises have we just seem the phoenix rising from out of the flames? I'm a great deal of money down on this share, yes. I bought into every failure, but this is the first time I have actually thought she may come good, an actual deal, with an oil major! Only time will tell and its going to be a while yet before we see any of that 40% turn into actual cash. Now all I need is the share price to be at £ 0.05 and I'm back in the black. Lets hope so...
At 0.315 each which was my last buy, this has to be a fantastic mid to long term buy. If you are day trading, I have no clue as to whether this is a good share for you, however if you are Looking a little further into the future, I believe you will see a significant increase in your share value... maybe even some dividends in a year or two. DYOR, these comments are just my take on TLW & I own a few shares...
Just checked out the AIX for Poly and they are trading at $ 4.4 or £ 3.46 in real money. I wish I had bought more... a lot more at the last trade of £ 1.96...
Isolating parts of history to suit your narrative, east to west never? I suggest you read your history books again. Russia is and always will be a troubled state. The imbalance of wealth even in the communist era is vast, it’s makes the American disparity look positively amateur. The post war Stalin era accounted for more than double the 2nd world wars human count, his own people. Until Russia becomes truly democratic, we will see these despotic faux Tzars rise and cost the lives of ordinary Russians. As for NATO & the so called march east, surely as the newly sovereign states take control of their own borders & security, it is upto them which alliance they join. They could have rejoined the old Soviet pact, but they chose to look to a democratic West. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not perfect, but at least you have freedom of movement and are not told what to do by the state. Having worked in Russia pre and post Perestroika I am grateful to have been born in the West.
I daren’t look at the losses on this share over the 10+ years I’ve held them in their numerous guises. I added more to the holding when they started drilling off the coast of Cuba, sorry Bahamas territorial waters. Well that one fell flat. I thought the purchase of some opportunities in Suriname were a good idea… nothing yet. However, the Uruguayan purchase whilst it was unloved could possibly be the ace in the hole. I’ve just doubled my holding by spending an additional £500. If it comes off and we make it to a £100m + company I’ll only be 90% down… good luck all, only invest what you can afford to lose or write off.
where do you live alwayswinning? Just curious as you look at Russia with rose tinted glasses. Given the choice of living in the West or East ( Russia ) I wonder where you would lay down your roots? Having experienced both, I prefer not to be curtailed in where I go or who I meet or watched and followed for no other reason than I am a foreign national. I like to be able to get in may car and drive to just about anywhere and to any country I want to go and not to be told by a very tiny section of the population what to think or do. But hey, thats just me.
...interesting viewpoint, not shared by most of the rest of us...lets take it down to the level of crayons... you own some land, I come along and say its mine and take it by force. I would expect you to want it back and probably fight for it. Who's the aggressor? Putin is a fool. He had the potential to economically grab Europe by the testicles. Playing nicely with the other children would have sucked us in. Hes a faux Tsar with delusions of grandeur, shame really as I kinda liked Russia back in the 90's when she was released from the communists grip. The Russians are an odd bunch, but the overwhelming majority of the ordinary Russians I met were fabulous, welcoming and hospitable. Hitler, sorry Putin has singlehandedly reduced mother Russian to years of western isolation and distrust. He may well be the richest man alive today, but hes an idiot when it comes to Russia.
Whilst I'm annoyed at myself for putting soo much money in here, I cant lay the blame at the BOD for everything. They may be rubbish at communicating, but they have drilled as they said they were going to in an extremely difficult environment. If they had landed the big fish and found billions of barrels, we'd all be singing their praises. S2, proving tricky to get to work properly... will there be S3 & above, who knows? Suriname / Uruguay? All opportunities to look for oil...opportunities. If they come asking for money will I partake...jury is out on that one. They are like plenty of other oil prospectors around, I just happend to fall in love with this one. Classic mistake 101. Am I bitter that we didnt find oil, a bit. Am I bitter that the BOD have been a bit useless at conveying information a bit too. Lets see what happens over the next few weeks ( if they survive ) and see if I want to put a bit more hard earned cash in here. Good luck with your investment decisions... remember they are all yours, nobody forced you!
I have read most of the posts on this forum and some of them are fresh from the play ground. I cannot understand why there is a need for personal insults when the subject matter is only for discussion. It beggars belief that some of the messages have to be removed by matron because some people find some form of gratification actually personally attacking someone for their comments. Most of us on here are down a considerable amount, I personally bought into the whole P1 drill and still hope to see something from it. The S2 / S3 + drills still holds some value IMHO and I hope to see some movement in the share price over the next few weeks. I personally appreciate the effort some posters put on here and their well thought out and researched scenarios. Have I made investment decisions based on their work, no. Will I be insulting them because their scenarios haven't worked out in our favour, no. Its your money, as always do your own research and live and die by your own sword. As for the personal insults, they undermine your own comments and ergo your own standing. Fools.
Come on CEG, our new leader promised a more informative approach to shareholders, under promise, over deliver... not the other way around. We are way past the P1 results update promised. The more it changes to more it stays the same.
