Keep your chin up mate.... I just wish that you had got out at the same time as me... I don't really know what advice to give to you, as to tell you the truth, I don't really know. All I will say, as shikuj says, if platinum prices pick up things may look a great deal better in the months and years to come... It all depends on how much you need the money and if you think the company will survive. If the company survives and platinum prices soar up you will be quids in. As soon as I saw the RNS about the dilution at the much lower price I just had to get out, I'm just very sorry you didn't follow me... It's your call mate, if you think the share price will fall you could always get back in at a much lower price or take up the option of the offer. Any way I'm not perfect I took the money from this and put it into POG and that has fallen from about 79p to 67p.... Minining is a right mine field at the moment, but I am sure it will improve over time.......
That's true holding a few and took up rights issue swell, this will rise imho
Anyone that bought this at 40 to 42p prior to the RI & took up the rights, has an average / terp figure of 27 to 28p. So the current null & spike downs could be viewed as a buying opportunity. When the MM / Pro manipulation period has ended, when they have picked up enough cheap stock, this will rise.
As previously said by me and others , shares can go up and down and it should be treated as a long term investment , temporary sentiments in Industry and company can certainly affect the sp short term but overall the company will recover soon as soon as plat prices pick up a bit , if u don't need funds at moment then just forget abt your invest in AQP and don't sell an u will see it soaring , Ihave just arranged funds and paid for the rights and happy abt it and will not sell as I know this is a big time opportunity we got
i am in but if the sp falls below 20p, i think i will have to dump the shares. what is your strategy?
get the bargain before its too late
I note the rights are trading at 6.7p, plus the cost of 14p = 20.6p. current price is 20-21p. I didn't have any spare cash to invest, so I sold a load of AQP shares and some rights to ensure I could fulfill the most rights I could at the least cost. So I've almost doubled my holding for not much cost, which is much better than doing nothing and letting those rights evaporate. So, I learnt that f you cant afford more shares at 14p, SELL 60% of YOUR RIGHTS to buy the remaining 40% (roughly speaking)
just ve cerful here you might lose your pence. aqp will not make a profit even with platinum at $1600
That is then more better for us anyways. Otherwise company has held its sp value much above the issue price of 14p and the closing date is just round the corner. FYI this company is more than gold people who know abt this company will never pull out money from it
Oversold IMO.
Hsbc is the major share investor in AQP. Maybe they are trying to drum up the sp. On the other hand, they may have insight info which we , mortals, will never know.
Currntly at bargain price..
I suppose THE PARTwhere they said they didn't cock it up AGAIN.
what part of the report did you find strong
Very strong report.........market reacted well yesterday (11% up).......hopefully no more mm games with the SP.......this will re-rate now after being harshly overdone (as usual!)......
Day. A positive reaction...but why??
The liklihood is we are at the darkest hour in terms of strike. FORTUNATELY FOR AQP THE CURRENCY HAS BEEN HAMMERED AND WHEN STRIKE ENDS, AS IT WILL, PAY WILL BE IN RANDS BUT PRICE OF PLATINUM IS IN US DOLLARS SO OPERATION SHOULD BE POTENTIALLY PROFITABLE AS PRICE OF PLATINUM RISES. MASSIVE PURCHASE TODAY IS POSITIVE.
Strikes are the part and parcel of any industry , end of the day people need money to survive and stop striking and settle for what they get
Just wondering if strikes in SA have any impact on the sp, so far? anyone got info on this ?
Any views guys?
hsbc has always rated at 208p since the last 8 months and they sitting on the same rating again today but this is a obviously a long term valuation. and they very sure as AQP is a strong company with good history
