...close to 6 month high. Will it stick and go on from there? If it does then gearing affect should give this a big boost - although market does tend to look longer than spot price - doesn't hurt though. Speculative buy I say!
Maybe I’m reading the ‘strip’ wrong but all morning it looked to me as if the market makers were holding the price down at –4% while the Pro’s bought in at 24p. It was ticking along nicely until 12:14.
going on this morning? after a 15% rise since Thursday, its not a surprise. there were some big sales yesterday (some big buys too but not as many). interesting to watch.
Forgot link doh. http://actionableintelligencealert.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/rick-rule-updates-view-on-platnium-and.html
Interesting article this. Rule is one of the few commentators you can rely on, having been in the game for 40 years. NB Sylvania is listed on aim.
15th or thereabouts
when our new shares will show up in our trading portfolios?
23.00 - 23.50
Looking really good here, nice tick up coming.
.......Well, that was a surprise......good volume though....Here's hoping for the rest of May and the summer ahead.........Bull run!?
Workers back to work soon at Lonmin. Good news for platinum ?
If you hold them in a nominee account and not in a share certificate you can still trade them on Tsx and the Johannesburg stock exchange through your broker just different costs for your transactions which won't be a great deall imho
Crikey I hold a load of ELR. Bought them a few months back as a punt more than anything else. What happens to our shares?
Yes I have had a look, much better postioned ,hold a few here ATM see how it pans out and elr who announced delisti g this week. So not having a good week re platinum mining .
Forgot the link :) http://www.iii.co.uk/stockmarketwire/163241/sylvania-platinum-issues-q3-report?context=LSE:SLP
Good point. I have been tempted by AQP, but it seems to rely too much on Kroondal for my liking, and Zimbabwe hardly inspires me with confidence. Don't even know why I am posting this really because I almost feel I should keep SLP a secret, but it really is perfectly poised now for the upcoming rise in pgm prices. The key to its success is that it treats the tailings from chrome mining, which is a much cheaper method of 'mining', and of course, it does not have all these strike problems that Amplats et al have. Check out the latest Q3 results. Incredible.
I see your point ,something else to think about aswell is that they are having to stump up money to pay for a central processing plant forced on them by the government,
Only growing platinum miner - lowest costs. Criminally undervalued. A real gem. AQP would not be going cap in hand to investors if the business was in good shape.
SADLY.... I didn't have the capital to take all the rights :( After all is done, i'll have 100k shares, not 150k - but that's all I could manage and that involved selling the excess rights that I wouldn't be able to fulfil, in order to at least be able to take some up. At the end of the day, I'm not too worried. what REALLY annoyed me was my choice of share. It was a toss up between AQP and OCADO - but I didn't think Ocado would be able to compete with the likes of Tesco.... they were at 50p then. 2 weeks later they did the deal with morrisons or waitrose - cant remember which, and shares shot up to 620p!!! OK they are at 300 now, but even so, my bad!
Thanks for all your input. feel good already. Have you all seen nickel prices lately? hope platinum follows suit.
Looking good this morning.
Legend did u take UR 100thousand in rights averaging UR total 150thosand at around 20p , you should be laughing that u didn't do the mistake of selling at 75p , you already made UR money thru rights hey
Dilution shouldn't worry anyone , we r just paying of our company's debt , secondly somewhere in year 2010 when AQP's sales were high and plat price was around $1800 the SP of AQP was in a range of 410 pence Plat price is at less than 1600$ currently but shouldn't last longer here , dilution won't affect this stock price, even if it does would be a minuet& v tiny , all we need is good sentiment in plat industry overall & all miners want that to happen
hindsight is great! I bought 50k shares at 40 ish, it went up to 75p - I nearly sold, but I didn't need the cash at the time, and AQP was bought as a long term investment anyway... but.... just wishing I'd listened to that little voice that said 'sell'... :(
