Not so sure bank savings were very low risk in 2008 but yes its its been claimed a lot here, about its potential but you know as well as I do what and why we have faced the delays. You also know that when it does get going it will move quickly which I suspect is why it is probably on your radar just as much as everybody else here. considering the amount of posts you involve yourself in here, probably more than any others.
You are still not doing me any favours though, it needs to go below 1p for more than two minutes so I can buy and get my average down. .5 would be even better. You've got 30 minutes left
You are slowly coming round RoJo ;)
something tells me that you now do believe you will get your 4p
good luck to you and all
Jollyboy - I think it not unreasonable to include Aminex as one of a portfolio of 20 O&G Exploration stocks.
Just as long as you realise that it has (on average) a one in twenty (5%) chance of coming good, and that you'll have nineteen losers.
Huge potential ? How many times have I seen that claimed ? Even if true, Aminex has consistently failed to monetise the potential.
Yes, all investments carry risk, but managing risk is key, hence the need for a diversified portfolio. Bank savings are very low risk, O&G exploration much higher risk.
So, based on your own agreement with Angus about being diversified in O&G on potential alone, why would you not want Aminex to be one of your 20?
Delays or not, you know as well as anybody it has huge potential so why do you constantly want to trash it when you tell us you are actually still in it!
What have your other O&G investments got that Aminex hasn't? I'm sure some of 20 would be explorers just the same and that means risk.
In fact what has any other investment got that isn't a risk? Every investment is a risk even those in the FTSE100 you can count bank savings in there too.

...one OR two will come good (not one of two)
...yes gaslady, but this was stated in the July RNS.
Do you think the Attorney General may have mislaid the document ?
GSA should be the next big news.
"The Gas Sales Agreement ("GSA") in respect of the Ntorya Gas Field has now been agreed among the JV partners and the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation ("TPDC"). Signing of the GSA will take place upon approval by the Attorney General's Office."
Argus - I completely agree that a diversified portfolio is essential, particularly so if one is focusing on O&G Exploration stocks. I agree also that the strategy must be to invest in many O&G Companies (10? 20?) in the hope that one of two will come good.
However we are discussing Aminex, and this is somewhat different as it has (we think) found gas, but is unable for a variety of reasons to extract and sell it. Statements from the BoD are generally optimistic but nothing ever happens. The next RNS will offer explanations for inactivity, postponement and delay followed by some optimistic timeline or other.
I'll leave it with this comment, how many explorers don't trade at a loss? Life is different when you are a producer, AEX has had a few flurries in that category over the years I've been invested here, so the current situation doesn't bother me, nor did it bother me with other oil Co's I've invested in over the years. If you are well diversified, then you only need one to come in and life is good, nobody backs only winners!
It has of course made many penniless already!
Well I'm not sure Argus.
How many years has it been trading at a loss?
It only still exists because of it's relationship with ARA.
This share is not exactly behaving as if it's about to go bust and make everyone penniless is it? ;-)
This share is not exactly behaving as if it's about to take off and make everyone rich is it ?
It seems you have at least one that likes your aroma
Any gas I emit is of the purest, cleanest, sweet-smelling type.
We can't say the same about your rancid scribblings can we ?.
But even rotten meat can't compete with the amount you emit RoJo. Do you ever rest
...that's as may be Honest Tom, but more gas than Aminextyear is producing.
Rotten meat produces gas.
What a dipstick. Still getting one tick from your buddy πππ€£
"Don't be deceived by bullish verbiage you are being exposed to."
While all around those who know sit waiting patiently, the only one posting here regularly here in recent times is the boat rower RoJo π
" ... that a gas development project at Ntorya could be viable with three wells, two of which have already been drilled and a third (Ntorya-3) is scheduled for drilling this year .. " Feb 5, 2018 RPS CPR. Aminex
Drilling of Nt-3 (CH-1) was to start 2018. Over five years later and CH-1 still isn't completed.
Don't be deceived by bullish verbiage you are being exposed to.

Had you initiated the avoidance maneuver when advised to do so several years ago, you would have been much better off. Aminex is a company that has no raison d'Γͺtre. The ' body / frame' of Aminex is desirable only because it can be 'partitioned' in order to raise more cash. Most likely, shortly after the CPR you can expect a capital raise. Aminex' position is similar to being enslaved inside a Venus flytrap.
Whilst hemorrhaging slowly, things are lonely, desperate and isolated for Aminex. How much endurance do you need and where do you draw the line in the sand?

Yes, thats some of it, but more so, they want control over the upstream infrastructure, which they haven't got at the Songo Songo gas field or the SS processing plant.
Thanks for your reply, however I am not that familiar with the outcome of the 2015 Tanzanian oil/gas review. Does it relate to the fact that Orca can sell gas also directly to industrial companies at market prices and not only to TPDC or Tanesco?
In short, Orca's PSA which is due to expire soon and was issued some 20 plus years ago does not conform with the out come of the 2015 Tanzanian oil/gas review.
Please tell me what you don't like. When I am invested in a company, I like to see both sides of the coin. So any negative input, that I might not be aware of is appreciated information.
Yes well, I've been watching Orca as many years as Aminex and I'm inclined not to agree, so thanks but no thanks.
