' maybe the warrants will get blown away in short order.'
Based on what we've seen so far I can't see a meaningful change in SP until the 2MT target is confirmed via R
With the news expected in April through to June.... maybe the warrants will get blown away in short order.
I know they can be an extreme drag on a sp.... but will they stand against an irresistible force?
Well written CE, it's high time we binned them. CB has been questioned on this subject by zac in the past but was pretty dismissive/reluctant to change. Who knows why??
CE... Fwiw I totally agree with that view. I was trying to keep tabs on the previous round figure offloads to try and gauge when the overhang would clear but failed miserably. A steadily rising SP would have benefitted all shareholders now but unfortunately it is what it is. Hopefully that overhang will clear soon and we can start to see the value here reflected in the SP.
Hello Lucky,
As you know, I have never been a fan of warrants being issued by a company that does not need the money and I spoke against them at the AGM.
My feeling is that the last wadge of warrants was issued because we have a lazy and not particularly competent broker. With the emerging picture at BR and the short term African income it should have been a breeze for a good broker with a decent investor portfolio to get the last placing away without having to offer warrants as a sweetener.
Between the placing shares and the warrants I think that a massive overhang has been created that will hold back the SP for quite some time.
I have no doubt that the SP will break 9p and probably also 10p by the summer, but I also think that sentiment would be better now, as would the SP, had we a broker with a half-decent reputation in the market place.
CE, how do you feel about the warrants now?
I’m hoping for an update on holes 37/38 next week. Even when you take out the Christmas breaks, they’ve been going on for ages.
Considering wider market movement, we have done well here but who knows what's in store next week!
Market jitters over Ukraine. Should settle if or when fighting starts
Rubbish day but xtract has held up well.
Technology is there, but outside factors make coastal work to risky, especially on larger ships, they have ferries in Finland, Captain ashore....
Joe if you want to see a sea of red take a look at Crypto ! Lots of -7% incl BTC. Likely impact on equities.
This is blue against a sea of red on my watchlist. That cant be a bad thing.....
On a different matter, was watching a documentary last night on the evergiven crashing in the suez canal.
I'm sure with today's technology they can autonomously get the ships through the canal.
Obviously we still need a captain, so don't take offence captain Bob ;).
What do you think Bob?
Would love to see the back of this 6p resistance!
Need to pay a sizeable premium to buy even 10k shares this morning, so looks like increase in SP is set to continue...
Would copper tickets be ok Uscita ?
I was going to go with copper/gold tickets; but best I hold fire on that for a while yet.
(I'm defo. not going with MacDonalds or Fiesta tickets btw )
well..... a small dividend would be nice..... but just a small one mind .... spend the majority on taking the company to the next level.
Please, please for the love of God don't start calling xtr shares 'golden tickets' it's the ultimate cringe kiss of death
That is a huge intercept. Who knows, we could get something similar in between Ascot and RC. (If we did, I'd have to beg borrow and steal to buy more of these golden tickets).
The only downside to Filo is there location on the Argentine- Chilean border. Think we're better suited to getting a large scale mine up and running!
I just had a quick look. Nice grades and length but it's in the Andes mountain range on the Argentine-Chile border in the midst of the driest region on Earth (Atacama), tens of miles from roads, power, water, etc. The grades are also a combination of copper, gold and silver (meaning complex extraction). Good luck with the infrastructure on that one!
Hi OC,
I just found it interesting. The diagram in the announcement is interesting. This is a really exceptional result so a comparison with XTR results isn't fair. Hole 38? I think 35 was exceptional and would be quite happy with a few more like it but I wouldn't complain if the XTR SP increases 4 fold.
Ella
Were you contrasting the very good drill hole of filo v xtr hole 38, or the *7 increase in share price of filo in 1 yr.
I would be 'xtr'actic with *4!
I found this interesting from Filo Mining

I do hope we can finally break out of the 5.9p ceiling, otherwise we just face another few weeks of slow decline. The latest news is excellent btw. As for the future of this company, I hope for a good sale and then the money used, not for dividends but for a round of mergers, acquisitions and portfolio expansions. All big companies start somewhere.
