Definitely closing soon.
Slug, I hope that you have completed your application for the Portuguese golden visa, cos I read over the weekend that they had closed it.
I'm pretty sure Quady is joking.
Thank God Bubble, I thought you'd had a stroke !
I hate iPhone typing never correct and I type too fast !!!!:(:(
Quady, combo knee the balanced board your opinions wether thru or not are opinions which we all have ,that's what a good balanced board is so stick to what your opinions are we can all agree or disagree while we wait which am of the opinion it will all be sold imho
Quady, can you define really quickly?
I see nothing to indicate really quickly..
I, and I’m sure many others, invested in a very active exploration company… but our board have just mothballed all exploration.. they have shut everything down and are just hoping someone will buy… that does not seem to be a very good business plan… any major can wait us out, no problems at all.. and then potentially collect the Cascabel license from Ecuador themselves..
shut down all exploration… have no plans to restart any exploration… just hope we are bought…. Theres no rush, no rush… we keep collecting our salaries..
*WOULDN'T* be this year !
Why sold really quickly now Quady ?
I thought you said it would be this year if at all.
Why the about turn ?
Nothing to do with the SNP is it ?
I no longer believe Solgold will go to production.
I believe it will be sold really quickly.
So all the rac.ists, haters of women and those that spread extreme far right views, can relocate to another country.
Taking their acolytes with them.
"“The market overall is pretty tight,” said Robert Edwards, copper analyst at CRU. “Longer term there’s a narrative around resource scarcity and the green transition with EVs and renewables as well as the build-out of electricity grids. On paper it’s quite a substantial supply gap opening up over the next 10 years,” he added.
I’m of a similar mindset these days.
From a tax point of view Portugal looks pretty attractive at the moment. I won’t get too political but things are horrendous here for the self employed and there’s nothing any more that makes me want to stay ….. oh except the weather of course :)
If this is domiciled in Oz, won't any tax be at 27.5%?
Not the Conservative and Unionist Party you knew eh Anna.
Tax is tax. One of the certainties of life. I don't get why those who are intelligent and aspirational are so against making a contribution to the public purse.
We'll, I do, but it's extremely petty and insecure.
Where Cascabel is involved the operator will just have to pay tax in line with the regime at the point that mining takes place. They'll have to be nimble and negotiate concessions in return for contributions to communities in other ways. That's how the world should work, a bit of give and take and fair payment for what is taken.
Or they could choose a right leaning leader and suffer continued duplicitous corruption on a grand scale, at least if a country like good ol Blighty is anything to go by.
The bottom line being that whoever is in power in any country in the world needs to see public office for what it is and do the best job the can for as many as they can.
For Ecuador, that means permitting Cascabel and enjoying the tax take that will eventually kick into gear.
I'm sure BHP would say that wouldn't they!
As per the story posted yesterday about Anglo American getting approvals for underground mining in Chile... it's clear that the lefty government are keen on mining just like the right winged parties. Not much difference despite what some posters suggest.
Each super major likes to strong arm their way and yet best deal possible especially if investing billions in a country that stands to gain around 50% of the profits. Partners as they say... hence all mining companies should expect stability and support from governments and there are international recognised laws that protect both parties.
I remember Cairn going to arbitration some years ago with Indian Government and guess who won... Cairn... to the tune of $1bln+.
Oh... and to all involved..stop the petty squabbling. How are old are you?
Maxit et Al talked too early and they are already in the money. They can afford to gamble with the money of the silent majority.
Looks like they are very keen on copper. Mmm!
