Thanks for the update senders. Fortunately darenkey told us the otherday that this is just a load of hippy environmentalists stirring things up. He said it will never effect solg. Let's face it senders. He must be right, nobody would post ridulous opinions as facts on here!!!!!
Ftjny/ padmaster. Ref my last post referring to posters in denial for 20 years. You have both spent a large part of your lives, glued to this board, hoping and praying someone will have the nerve to question any of the tripe posted. So you can then jump on your ridiculous infesters bandwagon, so as to impress the likes of novice and Co. Fact.....Share price 20 years ago 59p.
Fact..... Share price today 20p.
Fact..... Neither of you have ever questioned anything, just blindly praised mather and the board, and who betide anyone who doesn't.
20 years!!!!!!
Shut it you busybody..
Great post Miketrix. Those home truths have certainly poked the hornets infest-nest
I filtered both these ediots some time ago and for those of you who haven't cottoned on yet Needalife is the odious Kalibari from last year ( or was it 2 or even 3 years ago?)Kalibari was one of the most pain in the a£se posters on this board who was both disruptive and destructive! So do yourselves all a favour and ignore this twonk and better still filter him!
Miketrix. You matey take the prize for one of the most ridiculous posts ever on this board.
Let me remind you of what you said about 1981.
" I've seen nothing but disrespectful and downright condescending views from your good self that are adding absolutely nothing of value to this board."
1981 certainly doesn't need me to fight his corner.
But really Mike. He takes daily abuse from clueless morons who can't bare to hear the truth.
I suggest you read back a few posts. History will prove who was to be believed, and who has spent 20 years in denial.
lancs that was very interesting, Warren definitely made it very clear on more than one occasion that Solg is up for sale, and the “who” was likely to buy it and why was also very intriguing.
Well worth a post of it’s own if not been done already.
Held for around 5 years.
Watched this rise to 40p (or very nearly) 3 times and didn’t sell
i Have averaged down, now well in profit and hold more than my wife knows (And still have one of my pots at an average of 9p).
I for one hope we are bought by The Chinese for daft money soon - because THAT way the timing of my sell will be easy.
I will sell the lot if we are bought over by a Chinese Company - no way am i willing to become an investor in a Chinese Company. Am i the only one who thinks this - not heard of any others sharing this view - but surely i cannot be the only one?
Easy decision and no matter what the price does after i sell - i will be happy with my decision.
Skint.
There's no doubt WI has an inside track thanks to his long standing relationship with Big Bad Bob, and yet again he's on record today saying he hopes to realise his investment in SOLG in order to capitalise on the next metals supercycle he feels we are at the start of.... and remember 'the numbers are big'. For me fair value with recent dilution sits at 68-72p, but like Fort says there ain't many assets like this on the shelf so you just never know. My only concern would be others would be put off entering the ring if they perceived there were higher powers in play thanks to obvious Chinese / Ecuador state agreements. Funny also in that interview just how strong WI opinions are on Covid, environmental warming and the general woke society we now live in, remind you of anyone?
Best wishes to you all. C
SOLG is a rare animal so would likely break the mould. Noront went from 20cents pre bid to 55cents post initial bid and then doubled again to 110 cents on Wyloo final offer.
Jerry, out of interest, can you recall any company the size of SOLG that has 100% ownership of a Tier 1 asset of this size? Can you also point to a company in the history of mining sector that has managed to hang onto a Tier 1 asset which is not a 10bln or 20bln market cap?
Share prices are irrelevant right now as the market is most certainly NOT pricing in any impending offer at present. SOLG was 41p+ not long ago and that was leading up to the PFS announcement and nothing to do with takeout offers.
But you are entitled to your opinion as are others but remember, SOLG is not your run of the mill mining stock. It has one of the finest / largest discoveries in last decade. It's up there with the very very best. It's not going cheap, that's for sure.
Sadly for us investors 1981 is a lot more right than wrong. Initial bids are rarely multiples of the current sp. I think it has happened a few times in tech stocks and occasionally where the founder is still the dominant shareholder. I can’t recall it ever happening to a mining stock. 30-50p is probably where this will be taken out.
I do think it would be fun if Bob told the Chinese that if they buy in the market and get to 29.99%, he will recommend the deal at the highest price they pay. It won’t happen but would be fun to see what that price would be. Probably less than 50p would be my guess.
We have suddenly found ourselves in a good place.
The recent pick up in M&A in the sector will serve us well. Glenmore, Newmount among others all looking to do business and more than happy to come back with bigger offers once rebuffed.
The market knows solg is hot properly and is marking us up accordingly.
Hopefully this is just the beginning.
The haters are here in force which is always a good sign.

Bonkersman- you pick a good example, but one where the company's SP needed only a ~60% rise to meet the analyst targets. I hope you'll be magnanimous enough to conceed that I'm right about the usual disconnect between opening bids and analyst targets, especially when the SP and the out-of-date targets are separated by a near 4-fold disparity?
Miketrix- my view is that solg will be sold. I just won't let fools like bubble, red or fort tell people it is imminent, which anyone who knows anything about CA can see it isn't. That's disingenuous ramping, and needs calling out. If I'm condescending, it's because there's only one direction in which to talk when speaking to thickos like bubble. I'm sure I'm not the smartest on this board, but I'm not as thick as red and his fantasy career in the city, fort and his total lack of market knowledge, or bubble and his infantile, repetitive cries for attention.
So mr1981,
With respect, what is your view and where do you stand with respect to Solgold?
I've seen nothing but disrespectful and downright condescending views from your good self that are adding absolutely nothing of value to this board.
I disagree with more than half the people on this board, the other half I think spend way too much time on here and well as another 30% (yes said tongue in cheek) if I could be would probably start an argument with in real life if their views on the board were as obnoxious, self absorbed and lacking any real deep though in real life as they are on here.
Fine to disagree with people, but don't act like a t_wat. Would be nice if you posted something factual, interesting, thought provoking related to Solgold with actual ideas... You don't have a clue who and how much people may or may not be invested here so don't go round saying everyone is clueless bar your good self. If you think your the smartest investor in the room, your in the wrong room buddy so do yourself a favour and move on for your own sanity.
Yes 1981 investor, I think analysts target prices is one of the few things I do understand after all these years, and if they were always reliable and nothing else ever impacted financial markets we could all be rich.
No matter what nonsense I sometimes spout, there is always examples that prove me correct, and like most people I conveniently ignore the examples that prove me wrong.
So in order to prove me correct, recently Wood PLC shares leapt from a steady £1.50 to well over £2 on a bid of £2.30. It just so happens that the average analyst target was £2.40, and the initial bid was increased later to exactly that. But without looking I’m sure I could cite examples that prove me wrong, I’m sure lastminute.com during the dotcom boom was one.
Bonkersman, with respect, do you understand what an analysts target price is? And how little correlation that has ever had to opening TO bid values? Have a dig around, it won't take you long to understand how off bubble is. He is one of the rampers that encourages others to put faith in Maxit. Pick a company Maxit has represented, and you will see. Even the irrelevant Noront that the rampers so love to hold up (because they don't understand the differences between us and them) didn't manage a 350% jump from unaffected to opening. The sort of increase bubble is spaffing over took 4 bids.
My facts will hurt his feelings, and he'll lash out about 'infestations' or whatever (lazy language best left to the 1930s...) but we all know who knows their stuff and who is a brainless hype man.
1981 investor, I appreciate that analysts can be, and are often wrong with their targets, but, the average target price from 4 analysts is 75p based on todays reported resources and share price.
So one would not be shocked if Bubble was proved correct, but off course he could also be proved wrong, that’s investing for you.
And there he is again!!,like a rash you just can't get rid of him ,thought you'd disappeared down the hole you came from ,hurry up it's getting dark soon ,leave the board to the honest genuine posters new and old
Just so nobody misses this, the ever-clever bubble is saying that he expects a several-hundred-percent premium from the current SP as an opening bid for a TO. Multiple times the current SP, which has been around for months. As an opener. Jesus wept you couldn't write his nonsense.
Don't let him forget this in a year or so when the first bid does come in. He'll still be posting one of his 4 catchphrase ramps several times a day by then, but he won't be able to bury this particular moment of stupidity. It will haunt him.
Eish ,yes indeed nobody ever mentions about the other sites we currently hold ,you put them all together, bear in mind nm said that there was an even bigger tier 1 in solgolds portfolio add them together the value is massive so as we stand today just over 20p this is a screaming buy Eish the £1.32 I might not get but wouldn't be surprised to see an offer around 75-80p mark to kick things off imho
Bubble, these are REALLY interesting times for us here on Solgold! Why have we just kept on rising (above 20p)? What has been leaked? What have we really got at Pornevir, Tandy or elsewhere?
No problem - we have the "Goods"! Who is interested in buying in?
Nice to be a LTH at this point in time, LOL!
Eish,they might
https://www.news24.com/fin24/companies/sibanye-not-interested-in-bidding-as-newmont-makes-final-r360bn-play-for-newcrest-mining-20230411
Just wondering if Solgold will fit into any future plans as regards this merger? Newmont would become the worlds biggest gold producer but would an added 26milOz and Copper production for 50 years entice them further?
Guess the Chinese are our masters, LOL!
