Correct Talatum , not only will BHP not bid, but they are on the other side of the equation and will potentially block bids.
The diverse book, is now more diverse and any bid that stands a chance of success, must have all the main holders on board and the biggest holder is Nick Mather.
Z, I wonder if WI had Barrick in mind when he talked about gold miners having to after copper/gold discoveries?
dinnermoney, BHP have not bid so far so why should they then come up with a low bid just to force the hands of other players. They would only do that if they wanted to get rid of their holding for a decent price. the risk for them then would be that they could get lumbered with their low bid if no one else comes in.
...................or.............
Barrick?

Personally I think it's better we are rising on no news, if we get news then yes it will spike but 100% will fall back again.
I would love to know the reason why we are rising but I am sure no one on here will know the true reason.
This is my 3rd year in Solgold and every year it has risen around this time only to drop back down again, Hoping this year is 3rd time lucky :)
And red before you say anything it wasn't me who sold out and your posts earlier gloating and making fun of people just goes to show what kind of human you are.
haha you really have nothing to do all day Fort or maybe you are paid to post here.
Thanks Ray, you too.
24p by Friday.
Let's see.
should clarify that 35p would be deliberate low ball. End game should see double that Chinese and BHP go toe to toe. But no guarantees.
Metals seriously in favour and copper set to explode during next 36 months.
Persevered *
Yes, all good but at what price would we need to be hitting before someone runs to the FSA asking for a market update due to share price rise etc etc.
I'd think we are ok to rise to early 30's before having to be pressed on whether we are in talks or not.
Markets push sp's down and up etc but always seems that we have to have a market notice if increases in sp substantial. Probably mm's begin hurting once past 23p as stock thin on ground and sellers look absent.
Fingers crossed jezzoo, glad that you preserved and will earn from this.

Rising too fast I think, if it spikes it will retrace back to under 20p until the next period of positive sentiment.
Needs good news to peg it so it doesn't deflate.
I have a feeling an RNS is imminent.
Disagree copper, when you're grateful for what you already have it turns it into abundance.
Just a hunch (and it will sound like major ramping) but I just get the feeling that BHP might be about to make an offer to us wee shareholders - unsolicited...
Two reasons.... 1. It might scupper what our BoD's are planning and force their had... eg upsets the comfy situation for Chinese and SOLG if two in talks etc.
2. Blackrock clearly sold heavily over last few months putting drag on sp and keeping it suppressed. Now they look like they have finished selling or are out... the sp seems like the shackles are off. In theory... BHP should attack now rather than wait later. Newmont issue might also be playing on their mind.
Sometimes going 'first' might be a smart move especially as we know Bob and co do not like BHP.
I doubt the offer will be north of 35p as BHP's plan will be to disrupt and we know there are plenty of flakes on here that would or have said they'll take 35p.
Let's see how it unfolds... but just a hunch... that's all. If I were BHP... I'd make a move now (assuming I'm keen on the asset).
Right over to the resident derampers to repost. Play the post and not the man. If you can lol!
Jeez, lets not get carried away lads. This price is shocking, and will only start to look half decent in the thirties plus!
You're a diamond in the rough novice.
Respect for the big pay off.
22 today 22 today ee aye adio we're 22 today !!! all together now...
ONWARDS & UPWARDS !!!
22p just broken, happy days
I feel 22p will be breached today.
Well addicknt we can choose to listen to who we want to but the constant negative background noise from Quady - noise which now contradicts EVERYTHING we have heard from the company since the merger - just wears people down whether they accept it or not. I made a decision to stop posting here until major news landed, but reading this board was a depressing experience. After the WI interview (in which I think he was very bold to the point of utter recklessness) I bet the whole farm on SOLG and had a few sleepless nights I can tell you... it's hard enough living with that sort of gamble without reading endless nonsense about strategic reviews, "advancing Cascabel", developing mines and JVs - ALL of which are misinformation points since the merger and are financially disastrous options put forward by only those who want to deramp this share and who seem terrified of the thought of a buyout. Why is that? Talk about suffering fools gladly - so many of you have let this idiot with his constant drip drip drip of nonsense make your lives on here miserable. Every single one of you on here were totally disgusted and finished with SOLG at the start of March, I couldn't find a single positive comment on here - and all partly thanks to Quady who had worn you all down. So 13p looked like the end of the line instead of the start of a golden opportunity. That's how toxic these boards can be thanks to people like Quady. I'm topslicing and getting out bit by bit and hoping for the final big payout, but this will be my last share, I'm done with the stockmarket finally - I've got the big payout I always dreamed about but my one regret is I ever got involved with these boards in the first place.
Yes there are a few on here I feel I could go for a pint with. But a few as well I wish I wasn't on the same planet with. Besides that, there is a real world of real people out there, and concentrating on that rather than social media in 2023 has been a great change for me. I'm just glad that the few I always did care about on here with be sharing in a payout with me soon. The road has been long and exhausting, but the end is near.

Time to offload this beast to someone with deep pockets and influence in International affairs.
Optimistic the wheels are turning as I write and this will be bought up this coming year.

Bid up to 21.50
It must have leaked that we’re going to production!!
Summit, all Tier1 mines 'get off the ground' for the simple reason that there are billions and billions of dollars involved. Chinese have huge sway in Ecuador and as you should know (being a SOLG shareholder) they are about to sign a historic free trade deal. SOLG's 'project' or projects (and the folio has many) will be sold off so project 'lift off' will be for the Chinese or some Super major miner to deal with.
