A change in sentiment must help us soon?
Addicknt
How have those significant changes benefitted you today?
NAL has a point, I remember when BHPs golden hand cuffs were expiring and directors had options at 40p, the sp was in the 30s at this time and everyone was saying BHP will make a bid etc etc and the options will be well in profit, hindsight tells you what happened.
You are correct about one thing though there will be news in Q2 about funding, depending on that news will depend where the SP heads and will give a clue as to the direction of the company going forward…….
What's really funny is how certain posters are incapable of using the ignore button.
If you went to the zoo and the sign on the fence said.. 'do not feed the animals'... what would you do? Would you throw them a bone or do as the sign says?
If you ignore them, they will go away. They can't survive without responses... they simply shrivel up and disappear, then reinvent a new alias... and try again.
If you want the BB to be a better place, then do the right thing... use the ignore button. It's also doing them some help as they clearly have mental health issues and no life outside these bb's. So do them a favour... help them... ignore them.
It's funny how certain posters are incapable of differentiating the past from the present and future. They wilfully ignore the significant changes which have occurred over the last 12 months and the positive developments of recent months. They have also completely refused to accept the fact that the new management of the company has fundamentally changed the business, one example being the shift of the axis of power from Australia to Ecuador and Canada.
What contributors to this board may, or may not have said x number of years ago is completely irrelevant - it's what's happening within the company now that matters.
Yesterday's article about Newmont was very interesting, particularly as I think quite a few of us assumed they'd be sellers of the stock. I suppose the fact we weren't on their disposal list was a clue. It was also interesting to note a broker reporting that he was seeing a far greater level of retail interest. One has to wonder why now?
The past is the past, it's over. Our current position is fundamentally different and it's now down to SC and BS to deliver on their promises. Various deadlines are looming and more news flow is a racing certainty.
Adikt. one for you ref a lot going on in the background.
this from years ago, when mm was at the helm.
"I’ve heard through the grapevine that Nick is happy with the progress being made behind the scenes."
4 years ago. a clown on here "heard through the grapevine"
what have they been talking about for at least 4 years.
when you tell us daily things have changed. they most certainly have not on this board
They must have seen some very strong hands and interest for them to hold back all this news.
another from bbg. 6 years ago is telling ,you covgas to bigger off, and that even if you can't believe it, were about to be sold
To prove my point about thinking I opened on 6 year old posts. ref waiting for news.
bbg. They must have seen some very strong hands and interest for them to hold back all this news. years ago.
do I also need to repost 6 year old posts, stating were about to be sold.
I rest my case.
nothings altered, apart from SP collapse.
Covgas. what's not true
What an obnoxious pr*ck
nal just ******* off
Reading the posts this morning.
I thought by some mistake, I had opened lse from 6 years ago.
But no, it was yesterday.
Apparently we're waiting for news, and being sold this year.
But like 6 years ago, not a scrap of evidence to support it.
If I recall sp 6 years ago circa 40p, today 8p
6 years ago I believe the news we were awaiting, was trying to track down a French translater.
I also seem to remember bhp offering 35p a share,. Over 4 x today's price.
I think if sold, big If, we would just about scrape 35p.
Bbg suggests anything from £1 to £2.
Let's see who gets nearest.
Be careful with posts like that HFH you'll annoy the feck out of needy 🙉
55p soon !!!
Our little beauty firmly glued to 8,5! Possibly just likes the number, no conspiracy or maniplulation, LOL!
I’ve seen them too and agree they are not in town today
They’re also absent on very high volume days but have been lurking around for a few months or so
Not a huge fan of conspiracys but it is clear that someone has been on the bid and ask controlling the price. It is very obvious in the order book. However, they don't seem to be acting today. Unsure why
BBG thanks for the excellent posts.
My personal belief is that we're very near the end of a savage bear market and that's what will drive the timescale of offers, whether that be for Cascabel or the company as a whole. I don't think there's any major that wouldn't want SOLGs assets as there's not many around of the sheer size and scale that's in Ecuador. A generational mine that in all probability will exceed 30 years with Tier 1 potential of Gold, Copper and Silver. Its priceless...well £1 a share for the company lol. I definitely think it'll all be resolved this year, and the longer the majors leave it the more it will cost them. Personally I'm very happy to sit back and wait for the mother of all bidding wars.
Securing funding at project level will force an interested party to move and acquire our company.
There is no way in hell that any major will let us put proceeds from the sale of Cascabel into our regional assets.
Twiggy has done it before and can very much replicate his success in Australia via Solgold in Ecuador.
No problem Add,
If my predictions can get the SP back up, then great. At least I am being more effective than Scott in that regard 😆
1984, you are funny 😁
The stolen land I was referring to is the land which was stolen and which eventually became the USA!! You don't actually believe that Powhatan gave up his land willingly to John Smith do you, and chucked in Pocahontas to sweeten the deal?😆
Eloro, like what? Are you suggesting the company is failing to disclose his earnings properly?
I certainly agree with your final two sentences.
Incidentally, I see you're maintaining your perfect record of predicting the sp correctly. Please, please keep it up...it works wonders.
Im also certain trump will get in and ice got a £5k payout coming if he does. Everybody sees what a mess Biden has made of America and how weak she now is
We’re not stealing from Ecuador, we’re helping them build an industry they otherwise would never have. It’s a win/win for all
If only somebody would bloody buy it!
Add, maybe his meal is like an iceberg. We are only seeing the tip of it. Who knows what else is going on?
Like Fort pointed out, they might be trying to find a way to keep the Cornerstone shares, hence being in no rush. I just hope that this will be sorted this year. I cannot endure another year of the same.
Thanks BBG. Interesting Newmont speculation. Question in a JV scenario is what % would SOLG retain? Or is the idea we flog Cascabel to the NMM and Jiangxi?
'Feeding frenzy', ha, ha! 200k versus millions. Don't be daft.
Comments made by former Ecuador Deputy Minister of Mines - Article from last July
"If Newmont decides to stay in Ecuador, it will seek to acquire 100% of the Fruta del Norte mine and expand its interest in the Cascabel project. I believe that Newmont will stay in Ecuador and use the path opened by Newcrest in its strategy to fully enter Fruta del Norte and expand its stake in Cascabel."
