40% of their profit is derived from China and Hong Kong.
The rest Asia and Africa.
It's not ...the UK's premier insurance company.
Unless you are just referring to the market cap - which is rapidly shrinking.
Unless
I think this is nearing the bottom, now is the time to buy let the dust settle tomorrow they cannot stay at this price, this is Britain insurance flagship, might even be a takeover!
Bought in at £6.96 better than expected China growth hopefully should lift the shares tomorrow.
Last at this price August 2012.
Down to year low 40% down.
China just announced higher than expected growth
Got to be a long time buy at this price.
Are Pru now in a value range?, noticed a couple of insurers are near all time lows
Maybe a good time to add for the upswing?, if it ever comes
Or maybe some mergers?
For a moment, I thought I could discern a change in direction of the SP….but no. Not this week.
Great stock

This downer on PRU because of doing its business in China etc. is way over done. Hoping for a bounce back sooner rather than later. 🤞
I've started a small position today, and will look to accumulate slowly. At some point it will turn around, the company seems to be doing well, just China/Asia sentiment is poor. The size of those markets is undeniable, issues in the short-term, but for a medium-to-long term play, this looks like a good price to enter the market and 'DCA'. Good luck all (Bulls).
Depends who is buying big I guess
Can the price be so out of kilter with brokers' predictions. If it isn't then this could be the bargain of the year! Surely an uplift in the SP must be imminent!
Tenner on Friday 😅
Stalk you? I think you are deluded
Brokers! When Pru hived off MNG they said it PRU cutting off the deadwood. 100% wrong.
Been ok so far!
Bad day tomorrow, Pru will be under seven pounds.
Dòg dog 🐕
* raised cash
As PRU raided cash for expansion quite recently,
the prospect of a buy back look slim to none.
Xi has dealt a dreadful blow to confidence in the longer term outlook for the Chinese economy.
Until sentiment towards China turns, it's arguably unlikely the PRU share price will.
Broker ratings look very generous considering the sp now.
" Pru need to make a statement hopefully a good one to give the shareholders a plus sign."
They just released their Results which were good...
I think the market isnt happy that they decided not to do a share Buy Back , the market wanting bigger shareholder returns
The low share price should make them think again about it
I’m in both, PRU for Growth iand PHNX for the Divi.
Chr*st, that's nearly 4% of the company. I'd imagine there'd have to be an rns for that..
Do u consider this cheap or phoenix a better bet ?
