Rookie72 ; some on here who are sinking into despondency, and are now assuming- without any proof and lots of speculation - that the governor is now intervening to screw up the District land access permit, which the District Committee had already overwhelmingly voted in favour of MATD. According to information released in a recent RNS, the governor is only holding up the Special Purpose agreement signing, which would not be required for making a start in 2024 if the District permission comes through. It may or not be necessary for activity in 2025, but obviously if it were needed then there would be many months to play with for it to finally come through.
There was no hint in the AGM Q/A session that the governor is doing this - the issue right now is that the District land access seems to be us to be taking a lot of time, however no timescale for this was ever mentioned when a recent RNS stated that the District Committee had voted in favour of MATD. Obviously, people are anxious and impatient, so automatically assume that the District permit is taking a long time to issue. In fact, it may just be taking a normal time to process. A question about timescales should have been asked in the AGM, instead of one or two individuals asking about future dividend payments or other superfluous questions...
But master, the locals are happy now so why do we need to give them any further bribe money?
PM is Mongolian owned.
Court are not going to rule in favour of outsider
The dim wit will finally go to court. And waste another year.
Give the locals few million And they will be over the moon but not this clown. He will waste another 6million and still get nowhere
The question is what is MB going to do if the local governor is not willing to play ball?
Personally, I liked the fact MB said they don't deserve it. We've paid plenty of bribes (yes, they are exactly that and we weren't building wells just for charity) and we still aren't able to produce. Yes, it may have worked with the locals now apparently on our side, but I think we've done more than enough giving. It's now time to take.
Ojay - such an insincere question, but a raise (if we are producing) to expand Heron operations/wells would be an obvious positive reason to raise. The point is, we definitely do not want a raise for working capital AKA to keep the lights on.
If I was MB I would send the heavyweights in and take the governor on a holiday till he signed the paperwork.
Ask nicely first.
I
If I were MB I would put up a tent at the Heron and live there bring all the attention of the world of what is happening to petromatad in Mongolia. Mongolians seem have no shame or honour. On the contrary he seems he prefers to be in a hotel in Singapore!
"Surely they cannot waste another whole drilling season"
They have done that for years. Why not this year or year after!
Mind you we are nearly mid year and some guys think we need to wait another 2 month. Then what?
Time will tell. Unbelievable.
Seems activists are more active than bods. Mind you matd is their second job.
Did anyone of you actually pose any tough questions at the agm?
At this point I have no idea why THE HELL THE LAND PERMIT HAS NOT YET BEEN ISSUED let alone WHEN IT WILL BE ISSUED.
Is this such a complicated question?
Why the hell is this taking so long? What are the problems preventing the issuance of the LP?

Watch this space!
Header say ALL!

Surely they cannot waste another whole drilling season
Haha whats going on with this board? How come you all have spit your dummys out again. You know the timescale, you know theres a waiting game now till elections stop expecting things to appear out of nowhere. You heard The AGM. You wanted MB to come out truthfully and he did.

Yes - MB may be busting a gut trying to get PM over the line (from Singapore) but the rest of the BoD seem like ghosts. Some of them are locals - why aren't they more active? I understand not all of them even attended the AGM FFS!
No one thinks Protestors facing Criminal Charges is important! - just usual moaning lol.
🦉
This is what happens to companies when the management takes eye of the ball.
Lazy staff have just let the company roll along.
No real pressure as they are being paid no matter what happens.
Cheeky staff even awarded themselves shares for not doing f all
As I've said before that last AGM seemed programmed hence questions been submitted days before. It just seemed scripted from all the questions submitted and yes prof that question I asked about the licence fees his answer really threw me, like they haven't asked for the money yet? Overall still nothing has been made clear on any direction the company is going. Is renewables going to be the new company as it appears they can't be an oil company. More questions than answers as usual. GLA
Lots of sells today!
It doesn't bode well. It doesn't look good.
"They probably only meet once a month. Too busy yak herding the rest of the time"
Give them money for each meeting then assure you they will be there every day!
Poor people, poor locals where $$$ has the last word.
Adilbish Gunaajavn - main protestor!
Because of actions against Petro China!

Good development for Plan A local permission (which already agreed).
🦉
'They don't deserve it' was not a good sound. I agree
As for the Dornod conversation (Masters: "It is supported") it was only 10 days ago. They probably only meet once a month. Too busy yak herding the rest of the time.
Also I'm sure I read somewhere that soums post up decisions for at least a month in the local office (so that nomadic herders have time to see and read). The activists probably turned up at that point and caused a lot of further reputational damage. MB says they've spoken to the activists who are now happy, but there will still be a lot of people who won't know that and will believe the activists' past misinformation. I can't see that the activists are advertising that they no longer object (assuming that's true) but just seem to no longer be focusing on PM in their FB rants.
How to get the truth out? Public meeting? Letters? Dornod guy says 'we support' ? Over to the comms team.
