Capital Markets event today. Strong prospects for growth at higher margins. Aiming for dividend cover of 1.8 times, which if had been in place for last half would give a 6p interim dividend instead of actual 4p. Significant cash holding.

Dividend day ! Monies in accounts and to cap it all it's Friday. Strong believer in GFRD and one I am quite happy to have in my portfolio. Continued good fortune to all GFRD shareholders, those considering getting in or those just watching for now. Rgds, S

That's better. Hope it gets back to where it was before the drop, the reason for which I don't get.
I thought the same, can only assume profit taking as we hit the top of the trend line, should hold/bounce around here before the uptrend continues on its merry way. All very positive here.
Rather odd drop since the positive response to the results, a buying opportunity methinks.

At last being recognised as a stable operation. Significant cash and assets- no borrowing- expect increased dividends including special dividends and perhaps share buybacks.

Cash at 31 Dec 2023 - £209.3m (31 Dec 2022 £195.8m) despite share buy back and special dividend.
From RNS:
Returning excess cash
We continue to assess the cash requirements of the business to ensure the Group remains well positioned to deliver on its Sustainable Growth Strategy and has sufficient funds to invest in the business. In September 2022, having reviewed the Group's strong cash performance and ongoing capital requirements the Group launched a share buyback programme of up to a maximum of £15m. On 17 November 2023 we announced the completion of the share buyback programme with a total of 8,404,148 shares repurchased and subsequently cancelled, representing approximately 7.5% of issued share capital. In addition to this, the Group paid a special dividend of 12.0 pence per share (amounting to £12.5m) on 27 October 2023 as announced on 8 June 2023. As previously announced, where average month-end cash and PPP assets increase above the level required, the Board will consider making additional returns to shareholders.

Can anyone explain the multiple trades of 1 or 2 shares. The share looks very good value - hope for more share buybacks and/or an increased dividend - perhaps a repeat special dividend. Final results due 6th March
Well done Bill and team!
Incredible how there seems to be zero interest in this share
Friend of mine said years ago find a company that's NEEDED buy and cover your ears sing if you have to
This is a fantastic little investment. kick myself ever so often because I didn't buy and hold in covid.
Spent ages looking at it but didn't buy regrets regrets

Good to see continued steady progress, I wonder if that chunky buy back announcement was the last of the purchases or if there is more still to come?

It would have been a better announcement if they had included some indication of AVRS financials in terms of expected revenue, P&L, assets etc rather than just the purchase cost.
I agree they do look a good fit, but what's it actually worth?
A vendor rating list is an tool used to monitor the quality and reliability of a companies goods or services ,to stay on the list a company must meet very high standards .
The recent announcement of the acquisition of AVRS is, in my view, extremely positive and a good step going forward. The company that I work for has added AVRS to it's vendor list and has utilised them extensively throughout the last 11 months and more so over the last few months. GFRD is worthy of addition to any portfolio for either the dividend/growth or both. Happy to continue to buy at these levels. Continued good fortune to all GFRD holders, those considering buying and those just watching. Rgds, S

Fall seems over done but 7.5p of it is the dividend and the usual dividend tourist sell off. On the other hand if you think long term then days like this are good opportunities to buy at value.

Sorry pressed the post message too soon there. I meant to add nice win and should underpin a rise through the final dividend xdate this week (9th). You would normally expect a fall in the amount of the decent sized divided, but with this we may not.
Should underpin a decent rise as it will be nicely profitable work.

Thanks just checking,appreciate that..:)
You need to own them at COB on the day BEFORE the Ex Date. So GFRD go Ex Div on Thursday 5 th Oct. You need to hold the shares at COB on Wednesday 4th Oct.
Do you have to hold these shares at record date and inclusive of day before ex dividend date to qualify? Or just date before ex-dividend date ?
thanks

Strange how having to cough up for a botched job that didn't last 20 years did not affect the price? They could have claimed it was past the builders guarantee of ten years although they must have tried. Compared to the Forth Bridge, its a disaster.
Next up is the RAAC scandal, did they profit from ysing it or will they profit from rebuilding?
Surely this is significant enough for an rns! So the £26m recouped is now spent with special dividend and now this.

Coil, type price formation , usually implies fast movement. Price target 234.
Separating Bollinger bands, confirm fast movement. At present lower Bollinger band is falling , but monitor the lower Bollinger band, if it first begins to turn up, sell, because there is probability of retracement.

Excellent.
Yes, really good results and cash balance at 30 June greater than market cap. With profit for FY24 expected to be at upper end of range of analyst estimates what's not to like!
Final dividend payment of 7.5p up 29% (2022: 5.8p), together with an interim dividend of 3.0p giving a total dividend for the financial year of 10.5p, up 31%. Plus 12p special dividind!

And trading update should lift sp today!
Actually with £26m extra cash have the funds to do both - a 12p special dividend costs about £12.7m so still £13m to distribute. Expect a boost to the final dividend.
Just wonder if increasing the regular dividend by 4p a year for next 3 years might have had more of an impact on the share price! But am quibbling -12p in the autumn plus the usual dividend is good news.

Price creeping up even with no announcements of share buy-backs since last week (should perhaps have bought more when share price was lower!). Perhaps finally getting noticed by the market - selling their house building arm to concentrate on infrastructure projects was clearly a good move.
Well following yesterdays announcement of the "Special Dividend" all fellow shareholders will be pleased to hear that as a result of yesterdays share buy back of 1,011492 shares the company has saved having to pay out £121,379.04p from the Special Dividend. Now with all that money saved, and more based on future buy backs, surely that means there is more to give out to all of us!!!!! Well it was just a thought and as I put in the title it is Friday Lite Humour. Continued good fortune to all GFRD shareholders, those considering buying and to those just watching. Per Ardua Ad Astra. Regards S
