When you say solid arguments, I think you mean petulant and childish
Aren't we all giving our opinions? Difference is mine are supported by detailed analysis and solid arguments. Outlook is stark.
You should listen.
Oh your own 'fundamenal analysis and evaluation' so in other words your opinion as you've not given any insight into that. And when I say based on what I mean based on what is ot being taken over at £4-£5 thr most likely outcome? But I bet its your own fundamental analysis again.
Its also hilarious how your cherry pick what you want from the results ignoring 80% of the positives including more cash and reduction in inventory ahead of forecast.
And return to double digit growth being a pre requisite for apprecjation in value is a fundamentally flawed take and loads of other have also explained this to you but you just won't listen. Economic conditions aside, you think If Asos turn profit you think that won't increase the
SP?
Not sure what your agenda here as as you clearly are not and never were invested. Unless you are and are shorting the stock which is the only thing that makes sense given your views and cherry picked 'facts'.
Based on fundamental analysis and a valuation model that I developed. And yes I did read the last results and recall a 25% revenue decline in the US (in an inflationary market even).
That's why I'm saying return to double digit growth (as a vote of confidence from consumers) is a prerequisite for any appreciation in value. ASOS is not there currently and outlook is stark.
Based on what? Did you even read the last results?

The womens wear e-tailer Oh Polly has warned “repeat refunders” that their returns could cost up to £8.99 per order.
The British-based brand informed its customers of a new returns policy last week, that will see “repeat refunders” charged fees. New customers are to receive one free return, but after this, fees will be calculated on each customer's rate of returns.
These will range from £2.99 for 0-50% of orders returned, to £8.99 for those with 90-100% of online orders returned.
Oh Polly customers have 21 days from the date the order was placed to return orders for an exchange or refund. This is extended to 30 days for store credit.
In an email to customers outlining the new measures, the online retailer said: “We’d like to inform you of an important update to our returns policy.
“We really value each and every one of our customers, and one of the ways we keep pricing down is by being fair to all.
“Customers with high return rates increase the cost of the business, and we can either alter prices collectively for all, or only for those who fall into the high returner category.”
Oh Polly was founded in 2015 and is known for its higher-end high-street evening wear. The brand is celebrated for its body-positive approach, offering a wide range of clothing, including dresses, swimwear, activewear, and accessories designed to empower and enhance confidence.

Roll on the rate cuts.
Short positions down slightly further.
And blue she goes
It was dragged down to 356 and is back on the up trend heading through 370 (day low to day high) 4% swing pushing into 374 buy with charts indicating 380 target as volume picks up
Please explain why it “looks like it’s being let go”
Quite a bland, generic statement with no foundation.

Lots of O manual 1 share sells every 2-3 seconds - very very odd!
Hahaha I like it how there's always some disingenuous reason for the SP going down the drain..... 'manipulation' or it's the 'crooks at City'
£80,000 buy and hundreds of tiny sells

You are not answering the question
@Robo
Are you serious?
You think the macros are the only thing that drives the SP?
Then why isn't the SP moving? These data are no secret
Here are some of the underlying pivotal Macros that directly affect ASOS and its function as a business.
(Note all of them are headed in the right direction).

Unbelievable stark contrast between the indexes in the US and U.K. night and day!
U.K. has to bounce hard at some point.
I think we may see shorts down below 4% by the end of June 🤞
Inflation likely down
Interest rates will follow
Summer season for travel looking strong
US records on markets yesterday
US companies looking to buy UK companies on the cheap
All indicators strong here
Inflation print tomorrow - 7am.
Could move the needle a little - either way.
GLA
That is good news.
Share price creeps up, shorts creep down :)

It's been downhill so far 😞
Robo, stop getting worked up and enjoy the ride.
Always with the panicking and worrying.
Chill 😎
I don't know.... you brought it up. How did you come up with a "replacement cost" of £800m+ ?
Perhaps you can answer the questions? Would be refreshing for a lot of people here.....So you think a pure online player operates on air? Let us see in the future who is on the right side of the trade. GL.
Pls calm down. I only corrected you on a statement you made which was false (the equity value).
I don't know what replacement costs have to do with an online pure-play retailer and how you decided that they're worth more than the current value of the company (which is c.£800m).

Morning KYK,
I'm not to sure what that was about.I don't have such a wide range on my chart.
I see a new uptrend forming, as long as we don't cross below the new support level and continue to make higher highs.
Asos sp has this habbit of selling off in the morning and then making up its losses mid to late afternoon.
https://ibb.co/QYGVsG0
Breached a critical support level, triggering stop-loss orders and exacerbating selling pressure, confirmed by high trading volume, signaling strong bearish sentiment. The subsequent recovery was catalyzed by reaching a significant Fibonacci retracement level, where oversold conditions attracted buyers.
Any thoughts on the 8am candle? (356 - 380.4)

Apologies if you found my message patronising this was not my intention :)
I would just like to see a variety of opinions within this message board, and avoid this becoming a confrontational echo chamber, which it is at risk of becoming.
I am still invested, although, I am not sure that being invested is a prerequisite for contributing to this message board :)?
Have a good day
RL I’m not defending anyone but one can accumulate the number of views over time.
Consideration should include:-
1. The view / content.
2. Value to the board.
3. Accumulation timeframe.
In my opinion if any of the above becomes obsessive or ill fated then then the accumulation count and the individual should be reported or filtered to one’s taste.
I actually have no issues with anyone including you having 50k posts but keep it real and close to facts.
How can someone have 17k posts.
Well said CWWX, Nate. This is generally a good board. Just the odd Muppet that tries to ruin it. Luckily they don't get much airtime here as no one really acknowledges it.
They are on borrowed time and will disappear soon enough :)
Sorry, but respect is earned. There are some that do nothing to warrant it.

Vinted posting their first profit despite spending hundreds of millions on marketing.
Resale is now growing exponentially in the UK via tech, driven by the 20 somethings, and will always perform well in difficult economic times.
They’re making profit from the resale of asos clothing during a time where asos is making a loss, so worth consideration as it accelerates. It’s one way to get money in customers accounts even when they don’t have much in the bank.

The native Indians love their Bollywood actors / actresses and aspire to be / look / dress like them. Same goes for crickets…. It’s the number 1 sport I would say in South Asia.
It only takes a few celebrity to influence the buyers and your off.
I just got off the phone a work colleague who just told me ppl are spending £200 on standard seating tickets in India to watch RCB / CSK in the Indian IPL league. It’s not even a final… it’s a knockout game. So there you have it…. Ppl have the money to spend.
It’s also another great place to advertise but could imagine this to be quite costly so not expecting that to happen.
Agree and I think the trade deal point is a strong one.
Sunak will likely want to get something over the line before he heads off into the sunset. Badenoch (with aspirations of Tory leadership, will also be keen to get such a feather in her cap).
The Ambanis would not do business with ASOS if they will not profit from the deal.
They know their market and customers.
The young generation of Indians like to spend as they have better jobs which provide a surplus at the end of the month.
This deal would have taken extended talks / planning / placement proposition.
I think this will work out quite well. Asos has now gone and accessed customers today they didn’t have yesterday.
On the trad Indian clothes comment, this is worth a read and as someone who has been going there for 30 years and is there just about every month i concur.

A bit more info in the above... Including
ASOS’ deal with Reliance includes the introduction of exclusive brand stores, which will be its first foray into permanent standalone locations. This is a sensible move given India’s online market is less developed than in Western countries, only accounting for 24.0% of apparel sales in 2023, however the digital channel is growing fast, so it is wise that the deal also includes ecommerce platforms. Providing Indian shoppers with the opportunity to see and try-on items in person will also give them greater confidence while they become more familiar with the ASOS brands.

I don't think it needed to be RNSd. It has huge potential and it's great news to be tapping into a huge growing market but it's early days. it'll show up on future results/trading updates once back to growth to show revenue by geographic location.
Also NEXT didn't RNS last month when they did the exact same thing...
Remember this only relates to ASOS's own brands, which obviously have higher margins and the potential I assume for more dynamic production logistics.
Good news all round - including the short reduction which is inevitable due to the technicals which are currently screaming buy.
DYOR/GLA
Seems the company felt a note on its own website would be enough:
https://www.asosplc.com/news/reliance-retail-and-asos-partner-bring-asos-own-brands-india/
@Boris I was thing exactly the same thing.
We aren't exactly the most positively reported company on the LSE either.
I personally think the market has missed this news earlier today, had there have been an RNS I would have expected a stronger uptick, this will move very fast, given the ever reducing free float. Oh and the shorts need to buy back 6% of the stock. Hopefully this will be the start of the SP improving and strengthening balance sheet.

I always think that these sorts of strange accounts feast on the frustrated responses of people wishing to make a genuine contribution to the BB - whether bear or bull (both positions are welcome) - hence why I don't bother responding. Just another amateur investor/trader with limited knowledge and plenty of experience of getting it wrong, as well as some successes. I believe this one will be in the latter camp - hopefully, anyway. Until that changes I'll be here trying to make sense of the trajectory of the company and SP.
GLA
I value both positive and negative contributions from any and all invested persons.
You however can't possibly be invested in a stock that you have a clear distaste for. So your contributions add no value whatsoever. Stop wasting your time dude, and more importantly, stop wasting ours!
Nate_D I see you also had the same enthusiasm / positivity about McColl's a couple of years ago, and look where that got you
Wouldn't worry to much about it Nate, it doesn't create that much bother on this board as it's an older shorter bot t-800. Not very advanced and prone to the odd short circuit lol.
Sorry I didn't get the memo that says that only positive comments are allowed on this board
