Paul....typo in my last, it should read
Yes you can invest the full £20,300 in your ISA account with no tax liability. The same would be the case if you invested your £20,000 and sold the next day for £100,000. You could then invest that £100,000 at will with no tax liability.

Apollo - I'm not sure investing in shares is for you - my advice........stick to funds!
Thanks all who replied to my noob questions. One final question that in still unsure about example given below.
20k into ISA stocks and shares account. Trade 1 = £300 profit using short term buying .
So now ISA account sits at £20,300
Question= can I
Invest the full £20,300 again and not pay tax on any profits ?
Or can I only invest the original £20k from the ISA Opening balance ?
Sorry for the fun questions . Yet again, many thanks all who can help in this matter. Cheers.
I just wish people read my posts before making any comments...NEVER MIND
END OF THREAD ...
Jcb208, Yeah , you are right.
Also, profit isn't profit unless it's in the bank....took the profit added few quids to it,
Used the proceed to add more of M&G (my current holding is down by 4% approx. so far)...ALL IMHO-DYOR

You would have closed any real or fake position at 50 or a fraction above at that time. You have LOST a real or fake amount of money because of the 1.84 dividend that you would have needed to have paid on your real or fake position.

IMHO ;- “When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”
The market is just a game of stick or twist, no point holding most for long periods as Lloyds and others has proven year after year
Fakey
as Fakey as ever - you fool
Repeated and rinsed. Seems I was correct.
Hold no short position(s) now...imho...took few quids profit...IMHO-DYOR
888......I have ImaRight on filter so do not see his post's, but interesting the one you have copied on Tesco. That just shows what a complete and utter idiot he is! The Tesco price match with Aldi is 78p per k/g. You are charged on the weight price per k/g. You would pay less for the bunch weighing 582g at Tesco than you would for the bunch weighing 811g at Aldi. Thick as mince!!
Paul
" your first question " no restraints, but there are variables you might want to consider. 2 x £10k ect, Drip feed, don't buy Lloyds 🤣
For MS to maintain the sub 50p programme - not sure how much of the purchase power can be spent before having an above 50p average - unfortunately still not enough sellers. Today's price action more of a temporary mark down going by the not high volume amount.
You pay no tax on any profit you make on an isa. You can buy and sell to your hearts content but you cannot put more than 20k in each year. Good luck with your investmets
No tax payable held within an ISA, dont bet on Lloyds If you want to make a fortune
Doesn't really answer my first question. Only looking for a little bit of advice and guidance. Cheers

Mr Tesco,
Saw your bananas today, “Aldi Price Match, 78p” Good offer, I fell for it. Went in Aldi to check, 78p. However, much larger bananas! Weighed both bunches,
Tesco bananas are 582g
Aldi bananas are 811g
So, Tesco’s bananas are over 39% more expensive than Aldi’s bananas!
Mr Tesco! 🤥🤥🤥🤥🤥
Not a match!.... .....ImaRight on the tesco BB...weird as f..k..
Worry about it when you actually make 300 pounds not as easy as it seems
Bloomberg Economics
@economics
The dollar is headed for its best rally in over a year as growing expectations that US interest rates will stay high for longer prompt investors to pile into the currency.
Is there any higher tax , restraints etc, in doing this? Also due to it being an ISA account let's say I make£300 pounds is this £300 taxable?
I think the price is holding up fairly well.
