Pretty poor write up this weekend by Simply Wall St = The author claims the dividend is not covered by earnings and therefore not sustainable.

Interesting to see if the SP reacts on Monday - I hope not, I suspect most contributors on here are way under water

I can only hope you're wrong Bott. I have a good chunk of my investments in these and a couple of infrastructure funds. I'm pinning my hopes on an eventual drop in inflation and subsequently gilt yields.

In the meantime the divs are attractive and hopefully can be sustained for a while longer.

What I don't get is what are the directors paid the big bucks for???? Why does it need an activist to come on the scene , identify big NAV discounts, and then "engage" with the board to release value?

Same here JCB, first purchase in the 600's - even then the dividend was attractive. Since then I've bought in the 500's and 400's - Currently a little under water capital wise but way ahead with divs.

Happy days at 525 Nolo - I probably haven't averaged down enough so am around 560 - Not a disaster and incl. the divs I'm nicely above water. But like most investors I'm in the greed is good camp so want income and capital appreciation 😂

You obviously didn't get in here way north of six quid nolo - yeah the div is nice but not if it's wiped out by lost capital

Almost every REIT and infrastructure fund has been clobbered since 2022. The cycle will eventually turn.
