We caught up with Bytrol CEO David Traynor. Here's what he had to say about their latest trading update. Watch here.

I dont short sell but its becoming clearer by the day week month and year that there is a very good reason the sell off in FTSE 100 stocks overall has occurred. There is no value and nothing worth investing in. The FTSE is comprised of companies mostly heading out the door unless saved by diluting share holder value or as will be the case soon renationalising those deemed necessary. Not all about brexit or covid. Outdated models and greed over service will kill off many.
Looks like so.
Except the tech will do well
This is going to get far worse before it gets better :-) keep your powder dry
Well why not? They are dirt cheap
Yahoo Finance UK: Britain's amateur investment boom continues.

A more sensible idea would be to trade with the wider world as well as Europe instead of being restricted by european restrictive trade practices.
well said Larry
Thank you!
And apologies you are right.
All the best with your investments.
It's gonna be a cracker of a 6 months.
Just think about it - Brexit, Trump re-election probably, C19 vaccine, big moves in FX, trade deals for UK. What else? There will be more things on the agenda
Don't bite boy. I like your posts, I too, am positive on the ftse and brexit. Describing the EU as orderly and well thought out is fanciful at best. The EU is undemocratic, corrupt and wasteful. There are many opportunities post-brexit for the UK to trade with growing nations, like the ftse we just need to back the right ones.
I'm not British.
It's up to you.
I just think the EU is screwing you.
You just keep bending over?
So, you want Britain to return to its old pirate ways, of grab and steal and if you don't like it, bash 'em. Or do you want to be part of an orderly system where things are well thought out, then enacted, i.e. the EU? Or join the Asia-Pacific trading block (taking over the lead of course) and travelling to the other side of the world to clarify a dubious deal selling cheese? I know where I'd rather be.
Re my message, today, 0205 could seem out of place with current chat. It is in response to PFen's 02 Sept message.
Simple - While everyone in the UK are sitting around doing nothing, educate them to really understand the proportional representation voting system- I suggest the modern German model where smaller parties with sufficient votes get seats in parliament - then have a proper national election without all the scaremongering that has led the UK into its current selfish political mess.
There seems to be something wrong with the market today
"Maggie turned it round" perhaps south of Watford Gap
no country in its right mind will deal with the UK if it breaks the deal brokered by Johnson. This will in turn lead to further pain.
In the meantime the value of the FTSE 100 stocks just apaling. Not too sure of the solution but having honest politicians would be a good start
Facts are freedom from EUs stffling rules.
It will be a positive.
Trade deals with USA Japan china India.
Better off doing your own deals.
Also better off without EU courts.
FTSE will rise after a few strong trade deals are complete.
FTSE should get past 8000 then
This will be history is the govt doesn't honour the withdrawal agreement it signed. Who would want to deal with a country that knowingly breaks international law. The deal by the way woulDNT even cover 1 weeks furlough and business relief . The FTSE and British shares seem to be treading water and simply waiting for the next decline. I dont short sell but whi imaging money in the UK
Longs or shorts. Be positive but realistic also. The reason why there isn't much actual good news to share is because there isn't much good news out there if investing in the FTSE 100. If I am wrong please show me with facts
NVIDIA buying ARM out of Softbank. ARM should of been the golden nugget listed on the dreary old world FTSE. I'll be putting more into NVIDIA. Can't find anything I want on my home market. A few nice long term property ones outside the 100, but nothing on the 100 is particularly interesting.
Too much debt, foreign domiciled, borderline crooked, resting on past glory. They all seem to have something really off putting now.
UK struck a free trade deal with Japan. A good start but the fear mongers don't publish the good news. Hopefully a lot more to come
Looks like going only 1direction. As if the state of the economy before Covid with the uncertainty of Brexit waxnt enough to sink the £ now the Govt is ensuring there is no trust by other countries re the brevity negotiations. Rightly so. Meanwhile the value of the pound is in freefall and British FTSE 100 stocks are being dumped.
for "Wilson" read "Thatcher"
Wilson closed 3400 mines , Thatcher closed 1700 over a similar period,no wonder socialists leave the economy in a mess.
for "Wison" read "Thatcher"
Wilson shut down plenty, let the unions run riot with the industrial organiser of the communist party , mr Costello, a regular visitor with several union leaders in his pocket.Ambulance men and gravediggers on strike and a 3 day week after power station strikes. Maggie turned it around but you had to live through all that to know it. Still, the blind were always happy to follow the union gobshytes.
