CFO Appointment 

The Board of Morgan Advanced Materials plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Armitage as Chief Financial Officer and Board director with effect from 30 May 2022.

Richard has a successful track record in financial leadership and brings strong commercial experience gained in a range of chemical and consumer goods businesses. He will join from Victrex plc (a FTSE 250 high-performance polymer solutions business) where he has held the CFO position since April 2018. Prior to Victrex, Richard was CFO at Samworth Brothers from 2014 to 2018, CFO of McBride plc from 2009 to 2014, and before that held senior finance positions at Courtaulds plc, ICI plc, and Premier Foods plc. Richard has been a non-executive Director of NWF plc since July 2020 and Chair of the Audit Committee at NWF plc since September 2020.

Richard will succeed Peter Turner, whose proposed retirement was announced on 6 May 2021. Peter will step down as CFO on 30 May 2022 and from the Board in June 2022 following a handover period.
